Chapter 13 - Science Summit

Training Area

Andy was drenched in sweat, practicing every move of Steel Phoenix.

Tina walked in and said, "Andy, the Science Summit will be held in Los Angeles. This is their invitation. Will you attend?"

Andy put down his practice sword, opened his Water bottle to rehydrate, and glanced at the invitation in Tina's hand.

Andy stretched and said, "Science Summit? Interesting. I'll go check it out!"

The plane landed at Los Angeles Airport.

This Science Summit brought together the World's top scientists, and the technological achievements these scientists were researching were absolutely not to be missed by Andy.

"Hey, Norman! I didn't expect you to arrive before me. I thought I was early enough. Are you here to pick me up?"

Just out of the airport, Andy smiled as he saw Norman Osborn approaching him.

Norman Osborn smiled.

He had been in Los Angeles for a week because he had business to discuss there.

The only reason he was still there was because the Science Summit was being held there; otherwise, he would have left already.

Meeting Andy surprised him too; he hadn't expected to run into Andy by such a coincidence.

"Haha, yes, your itinerary was exposed. Be careful, someone told me your whereabouts!"

Norman Osborn teased Andy.

The two laughed heartily at the airport entrance.

"Dad! Uncle Andy."

Amidst their conversation, a tender voice interjected.

Looking down,

It was little Harry calling out to them.

Picking up little Harry, Andy playfully poked Harry's nose and asked with a smile, "Did little Harry miss me?"

"Yes!"

Harry's eyes narrowed into slits as he smiled happily.

Andy looked at Emily, who had a rosy complexion and was talking to Norman Osborn.

"Emily, you look great. Keep it up."

Saying that, he handed Harry to Norman, letting the father and son have a good chat.

Arriving at the hotel where the Science Summit was being held,

Andy saw many scientists he didn't usually encounter. They walked in small groups, exchanging notes on their respective research experiments.

From their scattered positions, it was clear they were scholars from different fields. Perhaps talking to them would lead to new discoveries for him.

Just as Andy was looking around, a voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Hello, Mr. Andy, my name is Reed Richards. Perhaps you've heard of my name.

I've made a new discovery in my research on Universe space. Now I need funding for an experiment. If successful, it will leave a significant mark in human history.

If you can provide me with funding, your name will also be etched on the monument of human history."

Appearing before Andy was a researcher who looked a bit shabby.

As for who Reed Richards was, Andy genuinely hadn't heard of him. After all, this person didn't look like a famous scientist.

However, Andy didn't reject him. In the Marvel Universe, any accidental inspiration or discovery by a scientist could create technology decades or even centuries ahead of its time.

So, Andy decided to learn more about his discovery regarding Universe space.

Seeing that Andy was interested in his new discovery about Universe space, Reed Richards immediately explained his latest findings to Andy.

It turned out that

Reed Richards was a student at Caltech studying the mysteries of the Universe. In the school laboratory, he observed many special energy fluctuations around the Earth using instruments.

Based on his calculations, behind these energy fluctuations, there were likely complete Worlds, one after another. He needed to further observe these energy fluctuations.

However, the instruments in the school laboratory were too old for further observation, and private research institutes strictly prohibited unauthorized personnel. He could only build experimental apparatus in his garage with his friends.

Unfortunately, the price of experimental equipment was too expensive. Just a few small reactive materials exhausted all their budget.

Just as they were about to give up, an invitation to the Science Summit given to him by his mentor rekindled his hope.

Some scientists attending the Science Summit had already converted their research achievements into economic value, becoming truly wealthy. He wanted to try his luck here.

Before Andy, he had described his discovery to many people, but those people were either not interested in his research or, after hearing his account, thought he was a liar.

It was true.

With so many scientists here, no one besides him had discovered the energy fluctuations outside the Earth.

And he was just a student who had just entered college, so neither his theoretical knowledge nor his research experience could convince people.

He recalled how Tony Stark had dismissed his research, and how Norman Osborn had looked at him like he was crazy after hearing his story.

He had given up hope.

Andy listened to Reed Richards and carefully recalled his past life memories.

Although his memories of his past life were a bit blurry, he remembered that Thor was an alien from Asgard.

During Asgard's peak, it ruled nine Worlds, including Asgard, and Earth was one of them. Various ancient entities on Earth also had their secret spaces.

"Hmm, Reed Richards, right?"

Reed had expected Andy to treat him like a madman, just like Norman Osborn, but he didn't expect Andy to seem to believe him. Hearing Andy's question, he quickly nodded.

"You said there are special energy fluctuations around the Earth, and those fluctuations are likely emanating from a complete World. Can you guarantee your words?

I don't need you to actually find a brand new World. As long as you can guarantee to find the location of those special energy fluctuations, I will provide you with research funding."

Andy couldn't explicitly tell Reed Richards that there really were other Worlds beyond Earth. He could only use another method, making Reed guarantee his findings before investing.

At this moment,

Reed Richards was extremely excited; he had finally secured an investment.

Andy didn't require him to guarantee finding a real World, only to find the location of those fluctuations. If he had to find a new World, he would still be a bit uncertain.

But if it was just about finding the location of the energy fluctuations, Reed Richards had no worries at all.

Because he wasn't lying; he had truly used the instruments at school to discover those special energy fluctuations.

After making a series of guarantees to Andy, Reed Richards took the check Andy had written, carefully placed it in his backpack, and thanked Andy repeatedly.

"Do you think what he said is true?"

Seeing Reed leave, Norman Osborn got up from the sofa behind Andy and walked over.

He didn't think Reed Richards could research anything. On the contrary, he thought it was a wasted effort, and Andy's money was most likely thrown into the Water this time.

Andy turned to Norman Osborn and said with a smile,

"Who knows? Even if they really fail, I only lose a million. If they succeed, maybe we can visit other Planets in the future."

Norman Osborn laughed wryly at Andy's nonchalant words.

That's right.

For top billionaires like them, a million could truly be earned back in minutes.
