After giving orders, Thor descended from the throne.
He felt the need to explain matters to Chen Xi.
This man was highly respected locally, and Thor had no intention of confronting him.
Though he had only met Chen Xi a few times, Thor had never fully understood his abilities—he only knew Chen Xi was incredibly strong, strong enough that Thor himself couldn't gauge his full power.
Others intended to accompany Thor, but he raised his hand:
"I will go alone. Too many people would turn an apology into an intimidation."
Thor did not want his visit misinterpreted, though he believed Chen Xi would not mind.
After arranging the necessary explanation, he went directly to Chen Xi.
As the space within the room shimmered, Chen Xi was calmly reading.
He seemed to have expected Thor's arrival.
Thor performed a gesture of apology:
"I deeply apologize. My brother Loki has caused significant trouble in your country. This is my fault for not keeping an eye on him."
"This was an accident, I understand. But he and the wolf did harm my people, which is also a fact," Chen Xi replied calmly.
"Of course, whatever compensation is needed, I will willingly provide it," Thor said promptly.
Chen Xi was satisfied with Thor's attitude, giving a number—not too high, not too low.
Thor raised no objections and immediately provided the compensation.
With apology and compensation settled, they could now discuss other matters.
