"Kairo, huh, cute name," Nova smirked, her fingers brushing against the tubes on her thigh as if she was showing off. "You look like you'd evaporate if one of these went off." Kairo's eyebrows raised as Lucan noticed a blonde person head down at a booth, leaving Kairo alone with Nova, "I would not! But what are those?" Kairo asked curiously as she showed off the tubes, "HEI. High Explosive Incendiaries. They go boom. But I can't use them yet since I'm but a rookie."
"Yeah, don't blow me—" She interrupted him immediately, "Don't finish that sentence." She said with a small chuckle as Kairo processed what else she had said, "You're a rookie?" She nodded before playfully taking the tube that was strapped to her thigh off and tossing it at him. Kairo immediately panicked. "Wait—" She chuckled again, "Don't worry, they require more force to explode. But…" She said like there was a caveat which made his face drop, him holding anything that could be from nothing to a live bomb made him panic harder, "You are cute when you're panicking."
Kairo breathed a sigh of relief before blushing, "Cute?" Kairo said as she leaned in, Kairo got shook again as she leaned in just enough to make him flustered, "Yeah, these won't explode under simple jostling, but don't get any ideas." She was teasing him, and Kairo didn't know what to make of it. Her grin was half playful, half dangerous, but he didn't know whether to panic or relax around her.
Lucan brought back a short girl around five feet and one inch, long blonde hair and a short, bouncy figure, followed behind him, barely keeping her balance. She was around five-foot-one, with long blonde hair falling messily past her shoulders, and there was a faint smell of alcohol about her. Her cheeks were flushed, and she giggled at everything, even when nothing was funny. "Ugh… Why'd you bring me here, Lucan?" She giggled, "Oh hi… I'm," She hiccupped cutely and softly, "I'm Tessa, and I'm 100 perecnt sober!" She was everything but sober.
