Clearing Stray Devils from their territory was just another part of the job, according to Rias.

Akeno stood at the center of the clubroom, a red magic circle spinning beneath her feet, ready to teleport them. Draconis found himself about to follow three beautiful girls into battle—definitely not your average night.

"Let's go," Rias commanded, tossing her crimson hair as she strode onto the magic circle, every inch the leader.

Draconis took his place behind the trio. The circle spun faster, sending gusts through the room that made their skirts and sleeves flutter.

He caught glimpses—just for a second—of the scenery beneath those swirling skirts. Not the worst way to start a mission.

Whoosh.

Light exploded in front of his eyes, and for an instant, it felt like he'd passed through a thin veil. The world snapped into focus: dense shrubs all around, an abandoned half-finished building looming ahead. Moss blanketed the crumbling walls—this place had been forgotten for years.

"There's a smell of blood."

Koneko wrinkled her nose, covering it with her sleeve. Her sense of smell was sharp enough to pick up the faintest trace.

The silence here was almost oppressive. Everyone could feel it—the air thick with hostility and killing intent.

"Definitely a prime spot for murder and body dumping…" Draconis muttered, surveying the scene. If the Stray Devil was hiding anywhere, it had to be that decrepit building.

"Ara ara, looks like we're not exactly welcome," Akeno said, her eyes narrowing with a smile.

Rias stood tall, hand on her hip, the picture of confidence. She smiled, calm and reliable, even facing the unknown.

"Unwelcome's expected. Let's head in."

She led the way, the others falling in behind her.

Inside, the air was colder, heavier. Shadows clung to the corners.

"Draconis, since you're here, want to see what devil combat's really like?" Rias asked suddenly.

Draconis arched a brow. "I haven't even signed my first contract yet. Think I'm up to fighting a Stray Devil?"

Rias shrugged, grinning. "Honestly? Not really."

Blunt as ever.

Draconis rolled his eyes. He knew he was outclassed, but hearing it out loud still stung.

Compared to Rias and the others, he was way behind.

Depressing, but true.

"Hehe, just watch from the sidelines this time," Rias said. "Remember what I told you about Evil Pieces?"

"Of course."

Draconis hadn't forgotten—he was boosted by two Knight pieces and eight Pawns.

"Good. This is the perfect chance to see what Koneko and Akeno can do."

Before she finished, Draconis felt a chill sweep through the room, sharper and heavier than before.

The killing intent was thickening.

"Target's here," Koneko said softly.

With that, a cold, almost spectral breath echoed through the space.

"Ah… ah~ There's a scent here—some of it's disgusting, some delicious. Sweet or bitter, I wonder?"

The voice was pure nightmare—like something clawing its way up from hell.

It was cold, eerie, and sent shivers down Draconis's spine.

He realized: maybe this was what a devil's real voice sounded like.

Rias stepped forward, skirt swirling, her presence burning bright.

"Stray Devil Viser, we're here to put you down."

She declared their purpose without a hint of hesitation.

"Kekekekeke…"

A twisted laugh echoed from the darkness—clearly not human, nor even a normal devil.

From the shadows, a woman emerged.

Straight black hair, a pretty enough face—almost human.

Draconis's gaze drifted lower. The woman was completely naked, upper body exposed without a hint of shame.

Uh… devils really don't do modesty.

He watched as she floated upward, her lower half coming into view.

Thud… thud… thud…

Heavy footsteps, but what appeared below wasn't human at all.

Her lower body was a massive, grotesque beast—jagged limbs, monstrous flesh.

"…I thought all devils were as beautiful and cute as you, President, Akeno, Koneko." Draconis muttered.

His eyes stung at the sight.

Seriously, the upper half was kind of a treat. But the bottom?

That was nightmare fuel.

Guess I'll need to wash my eyes when I get home.

The three girls said nothing—Draconis's priorities were clearly unique.

First reaction to a monster: critique its looks.

"When you betray or kill your master and use power recklessly, both body and mind become ugly," Koneko said, face blank as she stepped forward, undaunted.

Viser sneered. "Sanctimonious. You suppress your true nature—are you even devils anymore?"

"Lecturing us now, are you?" Rias's red hair flared as she glared at the beast. "Betraying your master, running wild for your own pleasure—you deserve a thousand deaths.

In the name of Duke Gremory, I'll turn you to ash!"

"Heh… Arrogant, aren't you? Just a half-grown girl. I'll kill you and stain your body as red as your hair!"

"Small fries always talk big," Rias shot back, unfazed.

The Stray Devil snarled, raising its monstrous leg to crush her.

All four stood firm, unmoving.

The beast's foot crashed down—then jerked to a halt, recoiling even faster.

Koneko was already in front, fist raised, her tiny frame radiating power.

She'd punched the monster's attack back, with absurd strength.

Koneko looked petite, almost fragile, but as a Rook her defense and raw power were unmatched.

That adorable body hid strength that could shatter stone.
