Koneko's fist landed with bone-shattering force, sending the hulking monster crashing backward. It smashed through a wall, finally coming to a stop in a heap of rubble.

That was the power of Koneko's Rook piece—brutal strength and ironclad defense, enough to toss a creature several times her size like a rag doll.

"Akeno, your turn," Rias called.

"Understood, President. Ara ara, what shall I do with this one?"

Akeno stepped forward, her smile gentle as spring sunlight. But the air around her crackled, heavy with surging magical energy.

Rias leaned toward Draconis, voice low. "Akeno's Queen piece gives her the traits of every Evil Piece."

Draconis took the chance to ask about his own.

He knew he was a hybrid Knight-Pawn, but so far he'd only felt the Knight's speed. The Pawn's power? Never noticed it.

Rias's lips curved. "Pawns can promote. Reach enemy territory, and you can transform into any piece—except King."

Draconis felt a spark of understanding.

So even the weakest piece had its own hidden edge.

His thoughts were interrupted by a thunderclap.

He looked up—Akeno had raised her right hand, magic swirling. A bolt of lightning materialized out of nowhere, slamming into the Stray Devil.

The monster convulsed, shrieking in agony.

But it wasn't ready to die. Gritting its teeth, it dredged up every ounce of corrupted magic for a counterattack.

Maybe feasting on its master and a few unlucky humans had given it extra power—the air was thick with menace.

The Stray Devil howled, its body spasming.

Draconis blinked.

Wait—were those… assets swelling up?

No, that couldn't be good.

A moment later, he watched in disbelief as the creature's chest grotesquely elongated.

What the—

BOOM!

Before he could process it, twin beams of searing light erupted from the devil's chest, tearing through the air. Walls crumbled in their path, and the beams hissed with corrosive toxicity.

Draconis saw it all, crystal clear:

Those beams—

They were actually shooting out of her boobs.

You've got to be kidding me.

Is this… the legendary Dynamic Light Wave?

The attack was so bizarre it nearly broke his brain, but Draconis didn't freeze.

Viser—the devil—grabbed her own chest, aiming those biological cannons straight at him and Rias. The beams carved a path of destruction, zeroing in.

Draconis stepped forward, no hesitation, planting himself between Rias and the incoming death rays.

A resonant hum—

A silver shield materialized in midair.

Draconis gripped it, left hand outstretched, and the shield hovered, a transparent force field blooming to intercept the beams.

Thunder rumbled overhead—the rotten ceiling finally gave way.

Draconis summoned his Regalia Blade, slashing upward in a blur. Sword light wove a net overhead, slicing falling concrete into harmless fragments, which the shield's force field flicked aside.

He stood there, sword tip resting casually on the ground, as if saving the day was just another Tuesday.

Rias clapped, smiling. "Impressive reflexes."

"All thanks to your training, President."

Draconis's reply was cool, but Rias's smile deepened.

She'd noticed it—Draconis's combat instincts were razor sharp. Calm, decisive, the kind of poise you needed when dancing on the edge of life and death.

"That devil's attack… why would it use that part?"

Draconis couldn't help but grumble.

"The more unexpected the move, the more effective it is," Rias said, sighing with a wry smile. Even she'd been surprised by Viser's tactics.

Not that such an attack could really hurt her.

"Still, 'Dynamic Light Wave' fits perfectly," Draconis muttered.

Rias blinked.

"…Dynamic Light Wave?"

"Just made it up. Don't you think it's the only name for what we just saw?"

Rias: "…"

Draconis's description was so on-the-nose that Rias's mind instantly filled with images of jiggling flesh and sweeping beams of light.

Great. Now she couldn't unsee it.

For once, even the pureblood devil was at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, seeing the Stray Devil still trying to attack, Akeno's smile grew colder.

"Ara ara… still have energy? Looks like you can handle a few more shocks!"

CRACK!

Lightning crashed down again, the monster convulsing, its Dynamic Light Wave cut short.

Akeno didn't stop—she brought down a third bolt, expression warm but aura icy, her gentle smile suddenly terrifying.

Draconis watched, speechless.

She's… enjoying this, isn't she?

So the sweet big sister is also a full-blown sadist?

Rias confirmed it with a chuckle. "That's Akeno. Even if the enemy surrenders, she'll keep going until she's satisfied. Total sadist."

Akeno kept up the electric torture for a full three minutes, only then handing the half-dead Stray Devil over to Rias.

The finishing blow was always Rias's job.

She strode forward, looking down at the broken devil like a queen before her subject.

"Any last words?"

"…Kill… me…"

The voice was shredded by pain and despair—Akeno had left nothing but a plea for mercy.

"I see. Then die."

Rias's voice was ice.

A torrent of crimson magic surged from her palm.

BOOM!

Red flames engulfed the Stray Devil, turning it to ash in an instant.

The shockwave faded. Rias's fiery hair settled, and she turned, her beautiful smile restored.

"All done. Mission complete!"
