"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 164: The Sigil of Suppression Unleashed

The core of the massive magic array kept pumping energy into the dimension, fueling teleportation circles across every corner. Magicians kept spilling in—an endless tide. Even for upper-class devils like Rias and her team, the sheer numbers were overwhelming. If this kept up, their magic would run dry.

"Move!" Rias barked, refusing to let the battle drag on. She led her peerage in a direct assault on the array's core.

"Stop them!" The magicians surged forward, reckless and unafraid. Their staves crackled with power as they unleashed lethal spells at Draconis and the others.

"Asia, stay close!" Xenovia swung Durandal, shielding Asia from stray attacks as they pressed ahead. She understood Asia's struggles now, and their bond had grown strong.

Draconis plunged into the crowd—these staff-wielding magicians never stood a chance up close. Ascalon flashed, and each swing sent blood spraying. Every strike was fatal.

"Damn it…" The minor leader panicked at their ferocity. "Channel your magic! We'll use blood magic—take them out together!"

"Yes!" The twenty-four magicians guarding the core pooled their magic, blue energy weaving into intricate patterns. The array formed in seconds, but their faces paled—the spell was draining their very life.

"Sacrificial magic," Rias recognized instantly. The magicians' techniques were clearly adapted from devil magic.

"Careful, this is high-class devil level!" she warned, eyes flicking to Koneko and Asia. They'd be vaporized if caught in the blast.

The spell activated—a massive blood-red blade materialized, radiating a sickly aura.

"Blood Slaughter Array—go!" the leader roared. All twenty-four magicians drove the blade straight at Rias's group.

Draconis stepped forward, fingers splayed. The Divine Lament Shield shimmered into existence.

Citadel of Endless Dusk.

Stasis wrapped around him—not the full citadel, no power amplification, just pure time-stop. For a threat like this, it was more than enough.

Last time, Draconis could barely maintain stasis for five seconds. Now, he could hold it for over an hour.

The blood blade crashed down, but Draconis stood untouched behind his shield.

"How—?" The minor leader's eyes bulged. A mid-class devil shrugging off a high-class attack? Unheard of.

Monster.

Draconis didn't give them another chance. He switched Ascalon to his left, summoned the Regalia Blade in his right.

Amplification triggered—his magic power exploded, flames of dark red and gold roaring dozens of meters high around him.

He raised the Regalia Blade, brought it down in a single, unadorned slash—straight through the core and the twenty-four guardians.

Light flooded the array. In one stroke, everything—core, guardians—was vaporized.

Teleportation, interrupted.

"Perfect! Now let's finish the rest!" Rias called, energized by Draconis's display.

He agreed, but with so many enemies, he needed to ease the pressure on Koneko and the others.

Draconis flipped his palm, summoning the Sigil of Suppression.

"Go."

The sigil shot out, silver ripples spreading in a low, buzzing hum.

Anti-magic field.

Instantly, the magicians' powers were suppressed by nearly sixty percent—their strength plummeted.

Then the sigil went berserk, darting through the crowd.

Stamp stamp stamp stamp—

It tagged a swath of female magicians, and—

Rip!

Clothes exploded everywhere.

The Sigil of Suppression had grown with him; now it could seal fifty targets at once for an hour. Push past that limit, and the sealing time dropped—the more targets, the shorter the duration.

This time, it sealed over a hundred and seventy female magicians at once. The effect lasted only a minute.

But the sight—a mass clothes-burst in the middle of a death match—was… something else.

Magicians, male and female, were stunned. No one expected this in the thick of battle.

Draconis just observed, expression calm:

"…That's… pretty wild."

Rias and the others were speechless.

"…"

No one had expected the Sigil to go off like this.

Koneko was merciless: "Pathetic."

Draconis shrugged. "Small stuff. Stay focused."

He didn't hesitate—swept his blade through the defenseless crowd. With their magic sealed, they were utterly exposed.

Boom!

One swing, and the field was cleared.

In sheer numbers, Draconis had outpaced the rest of the team combined.

The sudden drop in enemy magicians caught the Maou's attention.

"Oh? Quick work—already took out the teleportation array?" Azazel chuckled. "This should make them sweat."

Right on cue, the destruction magic in the sky activated.

At the same time, another magic array appeared.

"Huh? Leviathan's magic??"

Inside the barrier, Maou Leviathan blinked, confused. "Huh? What's going on? I didn't cast anything…"
