After finishing their hot pot dinner, Draconis Yi and Mai Sakurajima headed back to the bedroom. Mai slipped into the dressing room and shut the door behind her.
It was nearly bedtime, so Draconis Yi had no idea what she was up to, but he didn't overthink it. He sat on the edge of the bed, picked up Mai's memo pad, and flipped through a few pages.
Her schedule was packed—besides classes, she had an audition soon for a big-budget film. If she landed the role, it'd mean months of shooting, and she'd be busy all summer.
A whole movie, even with a small part, would eat up her time. Draconis Yi realized he might barely see her until summer break ended.
That reminded him—Rias had mentioned taking him to the Underworld during the holidays. For someone who'd never left his own country in two lifetimes, suddenly getting a passport to the afterlife was… well, kind of exciting.
Still, everyone was going to be busy. Draconis Yi pressed his lips together and put the notebook back, feeling a little sentimental.
But really, what was two months apart? Devils lived forever—time was on their side.
Just as he was lost in thought, the dressing room door opened. Mai stepped out, and Draconis Yi's eyes locked onto her, brows rising in surprise. He stared, unable to look away.
"Mai, what's this?"
"Didn't I promise you a reward?" she replied, perfectly calm.
Draconis Yi remembered—Mai had said she'd wear stockings for him once Nodoka's ability was resolved. But he hadn't expected this.
Mai was dressed head-to-toe in a bunny girl outfit.
Black patent heels, red soles, legs wrapped in sheer black stockings that hugged every curve. The glossy bodysuit clung to her frame, accentuating every line—slender, but with just the right curves. Her chest wasn't large, but the fit made the most of what she had.
A pair of tall rabbit ears perched on her jet-black hair.
Mai was already tall—165 centimeters. Add ten-centimeter heels and those special stockings, and her legs looked impossibly long, impossible not to stare at.
"Eyes glazed over?" Mai teased, waving a hand in front of his face. There was laughter in her voice—his stunned expression clearly pleased her.
Draconis Yi snapped out of it, grinned after a brief pause.
"This outfit is incredible. Why have I never seen you wear it before?"
Mai sat down beside him, crossing her long, stocking-clad legs, red-soled heels swinging. "I wore this before I met you—to test something. It's so eye-catching, I figured anyone who could see me would react. That was the theory."
"And the result?"
"Total failure," Mai sighed, closing her eyes. "Back then, no one but you could see me."
Draconis Yi's grin turned smug. "Lucky me—I was the only one."
Mai shot him a look, but her tone was cool. "You're such a dummy. If you like it, I can wear it for you anytime."
He thought back to their first meeting. "If you'd worn this the first time we met, I'd never have forgotten it."
Mai pouted. "Instead, we had an even worse introduction. Still, you made a lasting impression."
Draconis Yi laughed and pulled her into his arms. Mai leaned in, her bare shoulders glowing against the black bodysuit—neck, collarbone, chest, all dazzling white, all impossibly tempting.
"I love this reward," he said, not bothering to hide his smile.
Mai smiled back. "I'll be busy soon, so consider it a little compensation."
Draconis Yi put on a mock-serious face. "I'll think about you a hundred times a day."
Mai didn't bat an eye. "Focus on your own stuff. Once a day is enough."
Draconis Yi ran his hand along her silky thigh, sighing. "I thought once would do, but after tonight, I'll be thinking of you way more than that."
He fixed her with a look. "So you did this on purpose, didn't you? You want me obsessed."
Mai's voice took on a teasing, triumphant edge. "I figured my usual self was enough, but a little extra feeding would make me even more memorable."
Draconis Yi couldn't help but laugh. "Mai, you're too cute."
She grinned. "I've known that since I was eight." Showing off her child star credentials.
Draconis Yi grinned wider, then tackled her playfully, pinning her beneath him.
"You started it."
Mai knew what was coming, but still blushed, trying to sound composed. "What are you doing?"
"I told you—I'm going to think about you a hundred times."
"…No, once is plenty…"
Her face flushed bright red. If he really meant it, they wouldn't be sleeping tonight.
Draconis Yi wasn't about to back down. He hummed softly.
"These stockings are almost too beautiful to tear…"
"Don't waste them! They're expensive, you know."
Draconis Yi flashed a wicked smile. "But if I don't tear them, it's almost a waste of this outfit."
"…"
A soft rip echoed through the room, and the night dissolved into playful chaos—passion and laughter tangled together, lasting until the stars faded.
