"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 206: So, When's the Wedding?
In the center of the dance floor, Yor rested one hand lightly atop Draconis Yi's, the other perched on his shoulder.
And then… her mind went blank.
What now?
She stared, lost, not sure what to do next.
Draconis Yi's magic had planted the basic steps in her memory, but the opening moments of the dance still felt utterly foreign.
Fortunately, Draconis Yi was ready. As the sultry violin of "Por Una Cabeza" swept through the room, he quietly channeled magic, wrapping it around Yor's legs beneath her dress.
Let's go.
Yor blinked. Suddenly, her legs weren't hers anymore.
Some invisible force guided her feet, and she found herself gliding into perfect, textbook steps.
Draconis Yi's hand at her waist felt the tension in every muscle—Yor was a living weapon, not a dancer. Making her waltz like this was almost cruel.
Yet, with magical help, Yor's movements appeared flawless to everyone watching.
Camilla's envy was palpable; she nearly ground her teeth to dust.
How could those two look so dazzling together?
All eyes were on the dance floor. Draconis Yi, sharp in his tailored suit, drew admiring glances from half the women in the room.
Yor's black dress hugged her figure, her long legs accentuated by crimson-soled heels that brought her eye-level with her partner.
The dress's sleek lines highlighted Yor's icy elegance, her black hair catching the light, gold hairpin glinting with every turn.
Her skin was porcelain, her exposed back a study in grace.
And those red eyes—mesmerizing, locked on Draconis Yi's face—made more than one man in the room quietly seethe with jealousy.
Together, they danced, adding a touch of magic to the party, every step drawing the crowd's attention.
As the music carried on, Yor began to ease into the rhythm. Her steps grew lighter, her movements more fluid, her posture more confident.
Draconis Yi raised her hand, spun her gently—three times, her dress swirling, her legs flashing beneath the hem.
On the final turn, Yor melted into his arms, and Draconis Yi pulled her close, leading her into the song's crescendo.
Their eyes met, locked together through every pivot and turn, even as the dance brought them apart and together again.
To the onlookers, it was almost too much—romantic, intimate, a public display of affection that bordered on shameless.
The music grew more tender, the crowd's smiles softer.
Music and dance had a way of tugging at the heart; everyone found themselves swept up in the moment.
When the song ended, Yor, guided by Draconis Yi's steady hand, finished the last step. The room erupted in applause.
Camilla's face was a study in frustration. She'd meant to embarrass Yor, but instead, Yor had stolen the spotlight.
"Let it go," Sharon murmured, smiling as she watched the couple. "Yor's boyfriend really is something else."
Draconis Yi's performance had been flawless. Yor was now the center of attention—something she'd never managed before.
And it was clear to everyone: it was all thanks to Draconis Yi.
Looks and presence—some things you just couldn't fake.
After the dance, Draconis Yi led Yor around the room, thanking guests with a smile before returning to their seats.
Yor's face still glowed with wonder. That was… amazing. She realized she'd actually learned the dance, start to finish.
Draconis Yi was incredible.
The party rolled on, but Camilla and her friends finally gave up their plans to trip Yor up.
Every attempt was smoothly handled by Draconis Yi, and Camilla realized that any further schemes would only make Yor shine brighter.
Later, Camilla's boyfriend Dominic approached with a glass of wine, polite and warm.
"Miss Yor, it's rare to see you at a party. Are you and Mr. Draconis Yi enjoying yourselves?"
"Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Dominic. I'm having a wonderful time," Yor replied, smiling. "And thank you for your concern."
Dominic's smile was gentle.
"Well, seeing you with such an outstanding boyfriend puts my mind at ease. I used to worry about you, you know."
He turned to Draconis Yi, eyes twinkling.
"So, Mr. Draconis Yi—when are you planning to marry Miss Yor?"
Marriage?
Draconis Yi was speechless.
He was just here on commission, pretending to be her date.
Marriage was a whole different contract.
He played along, slipping an arm naturally around Yor's waist.
"If it were up to me, the sooner the better. I'd love to marry Yor."
Yor nearly broke out in nervous sweat. If anyone found out this was all an act, it would be a disaster.
She forced a smile, nodding.
"Y-yes, I'm looking forward to my wedding day, too…"
Dominic chuckled, stepping into his role as matchmaker.
"That's wonderful, Miss Yor. You're not getting any younger—it's time to think about settling down."
Dominic really was as kind as Camilla always claimed.
Once he'd moved on, Yor leaned toward Draconis Yi, her face troubled.
"What do we do now…? I feel like things are spinning out of control…"
Draconis Yi kept his cool.
"It's fine. This is all pretty normal stuff."
He was here to play the boyfriend role—marriage talk was just part of the package.
Whether they actually got married was nobody else's business.
Time slipped by, and soon the party was winding down. Draconis Yi took Yor's hand, and together they made the rounds, saying goodbye to each guest.
Under the complicated gazes of Camilla, Millie, and the rest, the pair walked off, disappearing down the street.
Not far away, a man watched them until they vanished, his face frozen in disbelief.
…Was he seeing things?
Was the Thorn Princess really strolling hand-in-hand with a man?
