Chapter 215 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 214: Will You Marry Me?

"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 214: Will You Marry Me?

Poor Yuri could only stew in helpless rage. Just imagining his sister whispering "darling" to someone behind closed doors made him burn with jealousy.

He snatched the wine bottle, ignoring Draconis Yi and Yor, and poured himself a glass so full it nearly overflowed. He downed it in one go—bitter wine, bitter heart.

Burp.

Draconis Yi watched Yuri's bizarre post-drinking antics, at a loss for words.

Was he drunk already?

One glass and he's out—what a lightweight.

But Yuri, despite his tipsiness, kept his guard up. Suspicion still simmered beneath the surface. He was plotting how to make Draconis Yi drop his defenses and spill the truth.

Yor picked up her own glass and sipped, her eyes lighting up.

Delicious.

She poured herself another, drained it, and her cheeks turned a vivid pink.

Draconis Yi caught the change instantly, his eyes narrowing.

"Yor?"

"Hmm? Why're you calling me…"

Yor's cheeks were flushed, her body swaying, voice thick with drink.

A thunderbolt of realization struck Draconis Yi.

She's a one-glass wonder too?

Seriously? And you still dared to drink?

He kept his cool, acting like this was nothing new.

"Yor, the second I look away, you sneak another drink."

"Hehe… I'm just happy! One more!"

Yor's face glowed, eyes unfocused, her beauty taking on a dangerous edge. Yuri couldn't help but laugh.

"Sis, you still get drunk so easily…"

"I'm not drunk! I can still drink!"

Yor snatched the bottle from Yuri and chugged straight from it, gulp after gulp.

Draconis Yi watched his two companions spiral into drunkenness and felt a headache coming on.

Yuri was tipsy but still functional. Yor, though, was completely blitzed.

He couldn't help but worry—would she start babbling and let slip their secrets?

Just as the thought crossed his mind, Yor fixed him with a bleary stare:

Burp. "Hey, Draconis Yi… why are there two of you? Did you use… magic?"

Draconis Yi sighed inwardly.

Great. He'd completely misjudged Yor's tolerance.

Yuri, for all his own weakness for drink, was still an elite agent. Hearing "magic," he snapped halfway sober.

"Sis?"

He called, drawing Yor's hazy gaze.

"Yuri… why're there two of you, too? Ah, do you know magic…"

Draconis Yi stepped forward, gently steadying Yor by her shoulders.

"If you keep drinking, everything in this room will start working magic."

He let Yor lean against him and shot Yuri an apologetic look.

"Sorry, I wanted this to be a fun night for everyone, but I let Yor drink too much."

Watching Yor collapse into Draconis Yi's arms, Yuri's doubts vanished—he chalked her words up to drunken nonsense, jealousy quickly drowning out suspicion.

Getting all cozy with my sister right in front of me!

"Sis, you're totally losing your dignity…"

Yuri hurried to help, not realizing that Draconis Yi's proximity had triggered Yor's assassin instincts.

For someone like her, letting anyone get too close was taboo.

Sober, she could control it.

Drunk, her body's defense systems ran on autopilot.

Just as she was about to lose consciousness, her survival reflex kicked in—she shoved hard.

Draconis Yi, sensing the incoming force, twisted away instinctively—a demon's reflexes never failed.

Instead of hitting Draconis Yi, Yor's push landed squarely on Yuri.

SLAP!

The smack echoed through the room.

Yuri spun through the air, crashing into the wall.

Draconis Yi: "…??"

He stared at Yuri, who lay crumpled on the floor for a moment.

"…Mr. Briar?"

Yuri sprang up, shaking off the dizziness, a bright red handprint blazing across his cheek.

He coughed. "I'm fine."

Blood trickled down his forehead. Draconis Yi fell silent.

You call that fine?

Yor didn't seem done. Draconis Yi snapped to attention, wrapping Yor up and pinning her hands.

She struggled in his arms—she was absurdly strong.

No normal person could hold her.

Yuri felt bitter.

Is Sis mad I interrupted her and Draconis Yi?

Draconis Yi tried to explain.

"Your sister's completely drunk…"

"Mmm… not… drunk…"

Yor mumbled, eyes unfocused. With her mind clouded, she blurted out everything weighing on her heart.

"Draconis Yi… will you… marry me… please…"

If they got married, maybe everyone would stop fussing over her. That was Yor's logic.

Draconis Yi: "…"

Yuri: "…"

His sister was begging Draconis Yi to marry her.

Marriage.

Aaaaaagh—

Yuri seized the wine bottle and guzzled desperately.

Marriage… marrying Sis…

Jealousy exploded inside him. That had always been his greatest dream.

Ever since he'd brought home a perfect report card as a kid and Sis kissed his cheek—he'd wanted to marry her.

But now…

Watching Yuri's petrified, heartbroken face, Draconis Yi could only sigh.

This kid was beyond saving.

Give it up, you hopeless sis-con.

Yuri slammed the bottle onto the table with a bang.

"I'm going home."

"Hm? Uh, sure. It's a mess anyway… I'll walk you out." Draconis Yi smiled apologetically, patting Yor's back.

"I'll see your brother out. Don't move around, okay?"

He pressed a gentle kiss to Yor's forehead.

"Hmm? Draconis Yi…" Yor blinked at him, completely lost.

Yuri: "…No need, I'm leaving!!"

If he stayed any longer, jealousy might kill him.
