Chapter 14 - First Meeting with Konohamaru

"Then I'll take you to see Iruka-sensei first. He used to teach Naruto's classes. You can go see him as a beginner. Iruka is very easy to talk to, so don't be nervous when you get there," Kakashi said to Ye Lan.

Ye Lan nodded silently, agreeing with Kakashi. Iruka-sensei was known to have a very good personality in Konohagakure.

Although Iruka was still a Genin, his strength was quite impressive. Coupled with his good nature, it made him the best choice to be a teacher at the Ninja Academy. Furthermore, as far as Ye Lan knew, Iruka and Naruto had a significant connection, stemming from when Naruto stole the Forbidden Scroll.

Naruto was framed by Mizuki.

And it was at this time that only Iruka believed in Naruto and helped him defeat Mizuki. Iruka was injured in the process, but in Naruto's heart, he undoubtedly held a very high position.

Kakashi turned and led Ye Lan towards the Ninja Academy.

It wasn't long before they reached the entrance of the Ninja Academy.

Ye Lan looked at the entrance of the Ninja Academy, and couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion. From the outside, this Ninja Academy didn't seem any different from an ordinary elementary school. There was also a large tree next to the school gate. A swing hung from the tree.

The swing. It was the one Naruto often sat on. And Naruto should have just graduated from this school not long ago.

Kakashi didn't know what Ye Lan was thinking, so he glanced at Ye Lan and said, "Don't dawdle, let's go in quickly."

Ye Lan nodded.

Just as they were about to step into the Ninja Academy's gate, a little boy, about four or five years old, suddenly popped out from beside the gate.

The little boy had big eyes. He looked very innocent, but his expression also had a hint of arrogance.

Ye Lan immediately recognized that this little boy was the Third Hokage's grandson, Konohamaru.

What is he doing here? Ye Lan thought. But then he was relieved, Konohamaru was only four or five years old now.

Isn't this the age to be attending the Ninja Academy? Thinking like that, it doesn't seem so strange.

Konohamaru clearly didn't pay much attention to Ye Lan, instead staring at Kakashi with a look of admiration, shouting, "Wow, isn't this Jonin Kakashi-sensei?"

Kakashi smiled and said, "Hello, Konohamaru."

However, Konohamaru seemed not to have heard Kakashi, and instead stared at him and said, "Perfect! Just perfect! I haven't known who to challenge recently. I'm a man who's going to be Hokage. Every time I challenged my grandfather before, I lost. Now it's just right to find a Jonin to test my skills. If I can beat you, maybe it won't be long before I can beat my grandfather and become Hokage!"

Ye Lan couldn't help but sweat at the words. This little kid probably hasn't met Naruto yet, huh?

Before Kakashi could respond to Konohamaru, the boy quickly charged towards Kakashi, holding a Kunai in his hand.

Kakashi smiled helplessly, not reacting much to Konohamaru's actions, simply standing there without making any other movements.

Sure enough, just as Ye Lan thought, Konohamaru had only taken a few steps. Before he could jump, Kakashi pressed his hand on the boy's head, rendering him completely immobile.

Konohamaru shook his head unwillingly, trying to break free from Kakashi's hand, but he couldn't.
