Chapter 21: You're the Ones Who Should Leave
Danzo resurrected once more, but all the Sharingan on his right arm had closed.
His single eye was bloodshot as a flash of desperation suddenly crossed it.
Reverse Four Symbols Sealing!
He tried to bite his tongue to form seals, only to discover in horror...
"Mmph?"
Invisible magnetic lines had already wrapped around his entire body, even his tongue was firmly fixed in place, his internal chakra completely locked down. This once-powerful ROOT leader couldn't even commit suicide.
Yu slowly walked up to him, the sound of his boots crushing debris particularly clear in the deathly silent ruins.
"I remember..." Yu seemed to be talking to himself. "The Hokage said the Uchiha were Konoha's most steadfast allies."
He suddenly reached out, his fingertips tracing across the densely packed Sharingan on Danzo's right arm.
"Over all these years, how many dangerous missions did the Uchiha complete for Konoha..." Yu's voice grew increasingly cold. "And you people..."
He suddenly gripped Danzo's throat, pulling that old face close to his own:
"This is how you repaid us?" He was about to end this scum's life completely.
"Wait!"
Tsunade forced herself to stand despite the dizziness, stumbling forward through pools of blood.
She knew she was the only one who could step forward now. Her full chest heaved dramatically, fine beads of sweat forming on her forehead. With each step closer, the bloody smell worsened her hemophobia.
"About the Uchiha matter..." She took a deep breath. Her identity as the First Hokage's granddaughter gave her more inside knowledge than most. "Konoha was indeed wrong..."
Yu slowly turned his head: "Oh? Is Konoha's princess going to dispense justice now?"
"I can represent Konoha in offering compensation..."
"Compensation?" Yu suddenly laughed. "My father tried reasoning and seeking peace just like you before."
He suddenly raised his hand, the magnetic field erupting.
Before Tsunade could react, invisible force sent her flying dozens of meters, crashing heavily into the ruins. Blood spilled from her mouth as slugs hurriedly split off to treat her.
"And what did you people do?"
He slowly turned around, taking one last look at Danzo bound by magnetic lines.
"I heard you wanted to become Hokage?" The youth showed a cruel smile. "Now you'll never get the chance."
Danzo's single eye bulged, his entire face turning purple. He thrashed wildly but couldn't move even a finger.
Yu's five fingers suddenly clenched shut.
Danzo's pupil contracted sharply as his throat made one final whimper.
The next second—
Splat!
Blood splattered everywhere.
With regret and unwillingness, Konoha's "Root" was completely severed.
"Who's next?"
Yu slowly surveyed his surroundings. Wherever his gaze fell, ninja lowered their heads to avoid eye contact.
The outer perimeter of the ruins was already surrounded by people from the major clans—Hyuga, Nara, Akimichi... These families who normally wielded significant influence in Konoha now tacitly maintained a safe distance. Their forehead protectors gleamed in the sunlight, yet not one dared step forward.
How ironic.
Yu had noticed long ago that these clan members had actually arrived early. From the moment he began torturing Danzo, those figures hiding in the shadows had been watching.
Besides fear, their eyes also held a trace of... guilt.
After all, which of these major clans didn't know exactly what the Shimura and Sarutobi clans had done to the Uchiha? Back then they chose to watch coldly from the sidelines—how could they now fight desperately for two dying power holders?
Moreover—
Yu looked down at the chunks of Danzo's corpse at his feet, then glanced at the dying Sarutobi Hiruzen in the distance.
From beginning to end, he had only targeted these two main culprits.
"A wise choice."
Yu murmured softly, his lips curving upward. Since these clans were being sensible, he couldn't be bothered to exterminate them all.
Space warped slightly as Yu's figure instantly appeared before the severely injured Tsunade on the ground.
Invisible magnetic lines suddenly coiled around her, lifting the Senju princess into the air. The rope-like force field cut deep into her skin, making her voluptuous figure even more striking in its distress.
"Lady Tsunade!"
The Konoha ninja on the ground cried out in alarm, but none dared step forward—Yu's single glance swept over them with such terrifying pressure that everyone felt like they'd fallen into an ice cave.
"Listen well, everyone."
Yu's voice boomed like thunder, carrying throughout all of Konoha:
"Sixty years ago, the Senju and Uchiha founded Konoha together."
The magnetic lines suddenly tightened, causing Tsunade to grunt in pain.
"But these people," he pointed at Danzo's corpse, "never gave the Uchiha justice!"
"The Shimura clan persecuted in secret, the Sarutobi clan enabled and covered up."
With each sentence, the oppressive feeling in the air grew heavier. Cold sweat beaded on the foreheads of the major clan leaders, yet none dared contradict a single word.
"Today I declare:"
"The Shimura and Sarutobi clans are hereby expelled from Konoha!"
"All their assets, jutsu, and territories..."
Yu's Sharingan suddenly shifted, the crimson Mangekyou slowly rotating:
"Will be taken over entirely by the Uchiha clan!"
"I don't agree!"
A furious roar suddenly came from the ruins.
A blood-covered ninja stood protectively in front of Sarutobi Hiruzen, his eyes burning with fierce loyalty: "The Third Hokage devoted his life to Konoha! The ones who should leave are you Uchi—"
BANG!
The dull sound of exploding flesh cut off his words.
The ninja who had been passionately righteous one second became a rain of blood the next. Chunks of meat and bone fragments splattered across the pale faces of surrounding ninja, with several drops even landing on Tsunade's trembling eyelashes.
All of Konoha fell deathly silent.
Yu slowly withdrew his finger, the magnetic field dissipating at his fingertip: "Anyone else want to share their opinion?"
Wherever his gaze swept, all the ninja unconsciously stepped back half a pace, even holding their breath.
"As for the position of Hokage..."
Yu showed an expression of complete indifference: "I'm not interested. You other clans can... work it out among yourselves."
The high-ranking members of the major clans looked at each other with uncertain expressions.
Yu's voice rang out again, this time with unquestionable coldness:
"I'm giving you one day to discuss it."
He slowly raised his right hand, index and middle fingers together, casually making a cutting motion toward the distant Hokage Monument—
RUMBLE
Amid the deafening roar, that monument bearing decades of Konoha's history was actually severed at the waist by an invisible force! The massive rock formation slowly slid along the mirror-smooth cut surface, finally crashing into the village outskirts and kicking up dust clouds that blocked out the sun.
"After one day..."
Yu withdrew his finger, his tone casual:
"If anyone still disagrees but remains in Konoha..."
He didn't finish, but everyone understood the unspoken implication.
The Konoha leadership present kept their eyes downcast, even their breathing becoming cautious. Several minor clan heads began secretly wiping cold sweat from their foreheads.
Swoosh
Space warped as Yu's figure suddenly vanished. Along with him disappeared Tsunade, still bound tightly by magnetic lines.
"Lady Tsunade!"
The Konoha crowd cried out in alarm, but could only watch helplessly as the two figures' afterimages dissolved into thin air.
After all, when it came to collecting Konoha's assets, who could be more suitable as a guide than this granddaughter of the First Hokage and student of the Third?
