Chapter 91: Oh No, I'm the Unhealthy One

Sasuko's thoughts were actually quite simple.

Although she often said ambiguous things to Yu, she didn't fully understand their implications herself.

She'd just occasionally overheard girls discussing topics about youthful stirrings during class breaks and silently remembered them.

She felt that she and Yu should mutually like each other, just like father and mother, so doing these things was natural.

So she always intentionally or unintentionally said things that made Yu awkward, wanting to cater to Yu's preferences.

Even though in reality, just a lingering kiss was enough to make her dizzy and flushed, her entire body going soft as she leaned in his embrace.

Like right now, she didn't understand why Yu would avoid this question. In her view, it was just like asking "do you like eating ramen"—simply wanting to know his preference.

Yu had even already eaten...

Yu's face reddened slightly as he coughed. "Let's not discuss this during the day... Let's go eat first. After such a long assessment, you must be tired."

Sasuko obediently nodded and asked softly, "Then what does Yu want to eat? I'll make it."

Yu gently ruffled her hair with a smile. "I'll cook today—consider it celebrating your successful exam."

Sasuko blinked her large eyes, somewhat doubtfully saying, "Yu hasn't cooked in so long..."

Indeed, in the past two years, whenever she was home, she'd almost always been responsible for cooking.

When she went to school, Yu either ate simple dry rations or went out to eat.

Facing his sister's gaze full of doubt, Yu pinched her soft cheeks. "I used to do all the cooking, you know."

But Sasuko didn't buy it, muttering quietly, "Yu's so-called 'cooking' is just heating up ready-made food bought from outside..."

Yu raised an eyebrow, somewhat embarrassed yet unable to find words to refute, so he could only extend both hands to pinch Sasuko's tender cheeks and gently knead. "So demanding! Just say whether you'll eat or not?"

Sasuko's delicate face was kneaded slightly out of shape by him, lips pouting as she said unclearly, "Yu, stop it... I'll eat, I'll eat, okay..."

Only then did Yu release his hands, and Sasuko's slightly reddened face was finally freed.

He asked with a smile, "Alright then, my Miss Sasuko, what would you like to eat today?"

Sasuko blinked her large eyes and listed several dishes. "Salt-grilled saury, steamed egg custard, and cold spinach salad." These were all the light dishes Yu usually preferred.

Yu paused slightly and reminded gently, "Sasuko, I'm asking what you want to eat."

But she showed a sweet smile and answered matter-of-factly, "That's right. I like these. Haven't we been eating these all these years?"

In fact, Sasuko herself couldn't clearly say what she liked eating now. Every time eating with Yu, as long as she saw him eating heartily, she felt satisfied. Unknowingly, she'd gradually grown accustomed to these flavors.

After listening, Yu quietly gazed at Sasuko, eyes moving slightly as he showed a helpless smile.

.....

Moonlight like gauze gently fell on the courtyard.

This was Sasuko's first night after graduation—no longer needing to wake early for morning classes.

Wearing soft sleepwear, she ran smiling to Yu's door, jet-black hair lightly flowing with her movements.

"Yu! I'm coming in?" Her soft voice was full of anticipation.

The door opened from inside. Yu looked at her appearance, already clear in his heart about her intentions.

Sasuko lifted that pure yet somewhat mischievous face and said, "Yu, you remember last night you promised that after the exam you'd fulfill one request of mine, right?"

Yu nodded.

She immediately smiled even sweeter and continued, "Then starting tonight, I want you to hold me while sleeping! Just like dad and mom."

Yu's face warmed slightly as he said quietly, "You're still young... I'm afraid you can't handle it. Wait until you grow up more."

But Sasuko showed a cunning smile and blinked. "What is Yu thinking? It's just sleeping while holding me. However..." Her voice gradually lowered, carrying innocent yet bold tone. "If Yu wants to do those strange things to me like the other night... I wouldn't mind either."

Yu looked at Sasuko's appearance and couldn't help chuckling.

He could see now that this girl always talked tough, constantly teasing him, but when things got real, she'd be kissed dizzy and flushed red within moments.

Sasuko saw the teasing in Yu's smile and immediately puffed out her cheeks, muttering, "You were clearly the one doing strange things after I fell asleep... That night I really was just holding you to sleep." Her voice grew softer, yet her gaze carried a trace of small dissatisfaction and shyness. "Hmph, you still has the nerve to laugh at me!"

This statement immediately left Yu speechless.

He coughed lightly twice, saying somewhat awkwardly in a low voice, "Wasn't it because you kept..." He stopped halfway through.

After all, Sasuko was indeed naive about these matters. She simply purely thought that people who liked each other should sleep together.

Instead, it was him...

Oh no, the one whose thoughts were truly unhealthy... could it be himself?

Seeing Yu remain silent, Sasuko softly urged again, "Yu! Please agree quickly. Besides..." She lightly hugged her arms, pretending to be a bit cold.

"Anyway, if you truly don't want to, nothing will happen."

Sasuko was right about this. As long as he was unwilling, indeed nothing would happen.

But the problem was—was he truly unwilling?

Since that night, Sasuko's image in his heart had quietly changed.

That former little girl had gradually blossomed into her current innocent yet alluring appearance. Her soft form, skin's warmth, moist gaze when moved... all this lingered in his mind inescapably.

He'd clearly promised his adoptive father to properly care for Sasuko, yet now he'd "cared" for her right into bed.

This sense of transgression intertwined with some indescribable stirring, leaving his emotions unsettled.

The cool autumn night breeze gently blew past as Sasuko couldn't help sneezing. "Achoo!" The sound was soft and cute.

Yu hesitated no more and stepped aside from the door. "Come in first."

He decided to trust his self-control.

Sasuko immediately cheered happily. "Yay! From now on I'll share a room with you! Tomorrow I'll move all my clothes from the wardrobe over!"

Sasuko climbed to the inner side of the bed with practiced ease, patting the empty space beside her with fair hands, voice softly urging, "Yu, come quickly—it's so cold outside."

Yu took a deep breath, working to suppress the stirring in his heart. He closed the door and slowly walked to the bedside, gently lying down on the outer side.

Tonight should be fine, right?
