Damn it, the Speed Force in my brain is definitely linked to Barry's life.
Lin Li was certain that on that night, the lightning strike that hit him and Barry connected them. If the Speed Force in his brain completely dissipated, Barry's life would likely be in danger.
The Speed Force activated the division of cells in Barry's ribs and blood supply function, briefly maintaining the safety of Barry's bodily functions before disappearing.
Barry's chest and abdomen still had exposed flesh, bleeding. His body, which had just been stabilized by the Speed Force, gradually began to convulse again.
Speed Mode dissipated.
Lin Li exited the almost static world.
The tiny star-like Speed Force in his brain dimmed, on the verge of extinction.
He smiled slightly, joyful inside. The Speed Force mode gave him a very unusual experience, and he now knew how to maintain Barry's life.
Barry was safe, at least he would remain stable in his hands.
He placed his hand on Barry's chest, which was already a bloody mess, scraped by the air pressure blade and torn open by the air pressure sphere, looking extremely gruesome and bloody.
A faint silver electric arc appeared in Lin Li's hand. He activated a mysterious frequency, and Barry lay still in his hand, no longer convulsing, calming down.
Cisco's anxious heart also quieted down, and he asked with a surprised tone, "Are you controlling Barry's biomagnetic field to maintain his physiological stability?"
Lin Li smiled and said, "I know all of Barry's molecular scan data, understand his body's frequency, activate the faint currents in his cells, form a biomagnetic field, and maintain his physiological stability."
Cisco said, wide-eyed, "You can do that? That's just... that's just... insane."
"Alright, Cisco, save your praise for later. There's something else I need you to do now. Go to the passenger seat and get the energy gun."
Lin Li suddenly commanded in a chilling tone.
The energy gun was manufactured by Cisco for Lin Li's charging. It was originally designed as a charger, but Lin Li later felt that only charging and storing electricity was too monotonous, so he and Cisco modified it again, creating an energy gun slightly smaller than a pistol.
Cisco didn't notice the change in Lin Li's tone and quickly went to the passenger seat to get the energy gun.
He hurried back, saying, "What is it, Lin Li, do you need me to shoot you to charge up?"
For a period, when Lin Li ran out of power during training, Cisco would shoot him with the energy gun to help him charge, from millivolts, to microvolts, to kilovolts. The energy gun had been modified several times, finally settling at 3.5 kilovolts.
This was a deadly voltage; the voltage an ordinary human body could withstand was less than or equal to 36 volts.
"Cisco, aim at that guy and shoot!"
Lin Li said coldly. If the Speed Force hadn't suddenly become agitated, he would have killed Clyde Mardon already. He would not let go of any factor that could endanger Barry's life. Killing him was the best option; imprisoning him like in the TV show was too dangerous, and he wouldn't take the risk.
If he didn't need to maintain Barry's life right now, Clyde Mardon would have been killed already. He was not some benevolent person.
Clyde Mardon saw that Lin Li couldn't spare a hand to kill him, so he frantically gasped, got up, and tried to run away.
Cisco, hearing what Lin Li said, nervously held up the energy gun.
At this moment, Clyde Mardon had already gotten up.
Cisco nervously raised the energy gun and said, "Do I really have to shoot? That will kill him! 3.5 kilovolts will directly burn a person to a crisp."
Lin Li shouted sharply, "Shoot!"
Cisco was so nervous his palms were sweating. He hesitated, saying, "Lin Li, this is murder! It's murder!"
Clyde Mardon had already turned his back to Cisco and started to run.
Lin Li roared, "Look at my injuries and Barry's current condition! If we hadn't arrived, Barry would have been killed by him, this beast! What are you still hesitating for? He wanted to kill Barry..."
Cisco struggled internally, trembling, two voices constantly intertwining in his mind.
Shoot him, kill him, kill him, he's a bad guy, he wanted to kill Barry...
Barry's fine, no one died, killing is wrong, if you kill him, how are you different from him? Do you want to be a murderer? He should go to jail, the police will catch him...
His upbringing, from childhood to adulthood, had never taught him how to handle such a situation. Cisco struggled in his inner world until Clyde Mardon had already run out of sight.
Ultimately, Cisco still couldn't shoot. His inner kindness, and his good education throughout his life, prevented him from overcoming the fear of killing.
"I'm sorry, Lin Li, I can't shoot."
Cisco lowered the energy gun and said. He couldn't go against his inner kindness, nor did he have such a firm will to kill someone.
"Cisco, you are a kind person. Today you let him go, but he won't be grateful. Instead, he will harm and kill more people. Next time, he might retaliate, and it could be me, Caitlin, or Wells, or your family who dies. Can you bear the pain of losing friends and family?"
Lin Li said angrily. If Clyde Mardon didn't die this time, he might retaliate next time. Lin Li couldn't understand this act of letting the tiger return to the mountain.
Cisco's lips moved, but he didn't speak. He didn't know if he was right or wrong now, but if the enemy retaliated, as Lin Li said, he would lose friends or family, and he couldn't bear it. For a moment, he felt a bit lost.
Lin Li's face was grim. Cisco's actions infuriated him. Did he have to wait until all his friends and family were dead to realize the consequences of letting the tiger return to the mountain? This was a foolish, idiotic act.
The two did not speak, falling silent.
Gradually, some people walked into the street. They had been evacuated by The Flash when the street was covered in thick fog because it was unclear what caused the fog. To avoid accidents and loss of life, The Flash had moved them all out. The facts proved that Barry's actions were very correct; even though he was almost beaten to death, not a single life was harmed.
The returning crowds walked back to Ye Demai Street. The messy street looked like it had been swept by a typhoon, eliciting gasps from them.
"What happened to the whole street? Was it hit by a typhoon?"
"Oh! NO, it looks like a big trash fight."
"Alien invasion? Why is all the glass broken?"
Before they were surrounded by the crowd, Caitlin just arrived by car.
The few of them quickly moved Barry into the car and drove back to Star Labs.
"Are you guys crazy playing superheroes? Do you have a death wish?"
Seeing Lin Li's and Barry's injuries, Caitlin cursed angrily. Did they have a death wish?
