The elemental nature world is a lush planet where the natural spirit is enhanced and celebrated in all of its forms. The landscape is a breathtaking mosaic of thick forests, towering mountains, crystalline rivers, and endless meadows full of wildflowers.
Every area is stamped with the signature of the elemental energy that dwells within it, creating distinctive ecosystems that resonate in harmony with nature.
Looming at the center of the world was the Everlasting Tree, a humbling giant whose trunk stretched hundreds of feet into the air. Its canopy was a green carpet of leaves, blazing in a rainbow of colors as sunlight filtered through.
Dotted in its branches were clusters of glowing mushrooms, emitting a soft, unearthly light that danced along the gnarled bark. This enchanted illumination gave the tree a magical sheen, making it a breathtaking centerpiece in the world.
Small forest creatures scurried about the ancient tree, their tiny paws deftly collecting gleaming sap into delicate jars. With careful attention, they fastened colorful, speckled eggs to the inner walls of the tree, creating a lovely brocade of life.
They were miniature Alces, mischievous wendigo beings made from nature itself, with rough tree bark armor and leafy fur forming their bodies, but with tiny antlers that sprouted playfully on their heads. The air was heavy with the whisper of leaves rustling and the muted hum of their industrious activity.
King Alces: He was tending to the nature surrounding the tree, adjusting the leaves from the massive tree above to give the glowing mushrooms enough darkness to prosper properly. He leaped from branch to branch, landing on the ground gracefully. "Younglings, let us make sure we are storing the sap properly; it is crucial for the seasonal changes."
Natruis Youngling: The babies were stacking the jars in the far corner inside the tree's trunk, using vines to secure them against the wall to ensure nothing would happen to them.
King Wiliaquo: With a quick breeze flowing through the trees, he appeared near the tree. He kept his distance to ensure he wouldn't startle any of the hard-working creatures. He turned toward a large purple colored flower that looked like the center part of it had...teeth? He reached toward the flower, but Alces quickly jumped toward him, pushing him back a bit. "Whoa-"
King Alces: "Yeah, you do not want to touch these things. Parasolia Flowers, carnivorous plants." He grabbed a twig, poking the center of the flower, and suddenly its mouth revealed itself, snapping onto the twig. Two small flowers opened up, revealing the beast's purple eyes. "You have to be more careful with what you are trying to poke."
King Wiliaquo: "Got it, don't touch giant flowers." He put his hands to his sides, trying to stay back from any enormous flowers nearby.
King Alces: He rubbed the head of the plant, watching it retreat into the bushes. "Now, wasn't there something you wanted to talk to me about? Something with Monse?"
King Wiliaquo: "Oh, right, yeah. Do you have somewhere less busy we could go to talk?"
King Alces: "There's a small stream I could take you to real quick, it's not far from here." He pointed off down the path of trees. "We can talk while we walk there." He walked past Wiliaquo, heading down the dirt path towards a large mountain in the distance.
King Wiliaquo: He quickly followed behind him, not wishing to have any more issues with the plant life.
King Alces: "Okay, so, talk me through this. What exactly happened between you and Monse because she seemed disinterested in talking to you? Did something bad happen at your event?" He jumped across some stones while passing over a river.
King Wiliaquo: "Kind of, we went up to my castle view to get a better look at the event down below. I set up some chairs, we sat for a couple of minutes, she looked at me for a short bit, and then just left."
King Alces: He leaped up a large rock, standing in front of a crystal blue colored stream, with flourishing flowers surrounding the entire thing. "She looked at you, and then left?"
King Wiliaquo: His body turned into a breeze and then reappeared next to Alces, "Yeah, and don't say it's because she thinks I'm ugly."
King Alces: He snickered, his wooden teeth clicking together. "Well, I was not going to before, but now I am kind of tempted to say so. However, I doubt it was that. Was she doing anything else on her way out?"
King Wiliaquo: He thought for a moment, trying to recall the memory perfectly in his head. "She was covering her face from the side, like you would when you are embarrassed or ashamed."
King Alces: "Well, when that occurs, I've seen certain forms of intelligence blush afterwards...Wait." He turned toward Wiliaquo, staring at him for a second while trying to connect the dots. "She looked at you, ran away, embarrassed and blushing...Looked...Ran...Blushing...Oh my goodness, Wiliaquo, she has developed feelings for you!"
King Wiliaquo: His pupils shrank, his heart felt like it shattered into a million pieces out of pure shock. "WHAT!" He grabbed his own face, panic setting in. "That can't be, if she has feelings for me, then she could be put to death for simply looking at me that way!"
King Alces: "Calm down, Wiliaquo!! The more we freak out about it, the worse it is going to get! Now there is a chance that we are wrong and she could just have been experiencing something at the time."
King Wiliaquo: "But what if that was why she was so ashamed to even look in my direction at the meeting?! If she is caught feeling anything involving love, she will be executed immediately, and then a new hier will come forth. I can not have that on my conscience!"
King Alces: "Wiliaquo! Calm down!" He grabbed him by his shoulders, attempting to calm him down. "Kneel, listen to the stream." He helped him to his knees, enhancing the sounds of the water.
"We can figure this out; it is not too late for things to change. We are not going to have to pick a new water elemental. We just have to make sure that none of the other elements find out about this little situation, especially Valkun, because he is the one who made the rule."
King Wiliaquo: He cupped his face with his hands, "I can't just keep this thought inside of me, it's going to eat me alive."
King Alces: "Then it is best that you visit her, talk to her about it, before someone else does. Valkun was already suspicious of her during the meeting; it's only a matter of time."
King Wiliaquo: "Okay...I'll try to talk to her tomorrow about what has been going on. It is probably best that it all comes from me."
King Alces: "Good. In the meantime, just relax here and try to collect your thoughts." He sat down fully next to him, patting him on the back to try to comfort him. "I am sure it will all be okay."
