Chapter 5 - The Meeting

King Wiliaquo: He appeared from a beam of light, walking onto a circular platform that levitated down onto another platform. He stood inside a giant gold and blue orb-shaped structure, in a constant state of rotation, named 'The Orb of Origins'. He walked down the hallway until he entered the large meeting room, a round table sat in the middle of the room, weirdly enough, no chairs.

"Huh, I must be one of the first people here." Right as he said that, something large dropped down from the ceiling behind him, and the sound of rustling leaves sounded extremely familiar to him. He spun around, smiling widely at the familiar face. "Alces!"

King Alces: A large wendigo-type creature stood above Wiliaquo; rather than fur, leaves, and twins covered its skin. Wooden and leather armor covered its forearms, claws, legs, chest, and a wooden deer sat on its head. Yellow eyes pierced through the skull, and it tapped its claw-like feet on the ground, adjusting its bow across its chest.

It remained serious for a moment, but he broke character to pick him up and hug him. "Wiliaquo! Oh, it is wonderful to see you, brother."

King Wiliaquo: "As it is wonderful to see you! I didn't think anybody else was here yet."

King Alces: "I arrived an hour ago. I knew you would have been one of the first people to show up, so I wanted to try to scare you. But I believe we are on too good a level for that to ever work."

King Wiliaquo: "You could never scare me, let me tell you that right now." The two of them laughed amongst each other.

Queen Gena: A transparent-skinned woman floated into the room, rolling her white eyes at them, her pale colored hair waving behind her. She wore a combination of blue crystal armor with a deep blue dress. She clicked her halberd onto her back, the spirit orb spiraling around it, stopping. "You two are insufferable."

King Alces: "Aw, come on, does the queen of spirits really not have kind of kindness in her heart?" He appeared behind her in a flash of leaves.

Queen Gena: She waved her hand, her bracelet sparking to form a ghost chair. "You can try to check if you'd like, but you might not leave here with your hands."

King Alces: His eyes glared brighter, "Is that a challenge, your highness?"

Lord Eartakiel: A large rock figure walked into the room, slamming his hammer on the floor. "Shut up and get into your spots, Lord Valkun will be here soon, and we don't need to prove his point that most of you act like children."

While others had mostly human appearances, this being was a massive, muscular, stone, and metal being, with his only discernible facial feature being his spikey rock beard. He placed his hammer next to the door, sitting down cross-legged on the floor where his earth symbol was. Sitting didn't even matter; he still towered over the rest.

King Alces and Queen Gena: "Yes, sir." Alces walked away from where Gena was sitting, walking toward his symbol.

King Wiliaquo: He formed a chair for himself and Alces, since their symbol placements were right next to one another. "Here I gotcha."

King Alces: "Thanks, Wiliaquo." He took a seat on the cloudy chair, hearing a couple of pairs of footsteps down the hall. The sounds of heels and then loud thumping joined together as Monse walked into the room first, quickly waving to everybody and then standing in her spot rather than creating a chair.

Following her was a large, volcano-shaped being that walked into the room, silencing everyone. His sharp magma teeth and fierce fiery eyes scared everyone just a bit. His spiked head represented a crown.

Lord Valkun: "Alright, this meeting is called to order." He placed his large, clawed magma hand on the table, picking up a circular-shaped clipboard; somehow, the golden paper wasn't burning. "We need to discuss this year's exchange, who will be getting what for their rotation, and what is required on one side more than the rest."

He quickly read through the pages, "Eartakiel, you are going to distribute more earth-based resources to both Monse and Alces to form new spots of both sea and nature elements within the upper and lower timeline sectors."

"Alces, for you it is going to be 2 orbs each, but you will need to provide a little more nature resources for Monse's ocean sectors to create more underwater sea life. Plants are a huge part of the natural chain."

King Alces: "How are two nature orbs not enough to form life?" He chimed in, looking toward Monse across the table.

Queen Monse: "You do realize that making life underwater is far more tedious than making life above water, right? You can understand that simple concept?"

Lord Valkun: "Enough, Monse! There is no need to jab at a different element for not seeing things your way. Yes, Alces, you will have to provide at least 4 orbs for this year's cycle. With the timeline order beginning to spread more into other timelines, there are a lot more places that require nature in the water."

Lord Eartakiel: He raised his hand, attempting to be respectful.

Lord Valkun: He stared at him, "This isn't element school, Eartakiel, you may speak freely."

Lord Eartakiel: He looked over at Monse, "If it would help, I can also provide 4 orbs of earth to your sectors, Monse, to help raise the sea level and help with different plant life formations."

Queen Monse: "That is very kind of you, Eartakiel, but please do not overwork yourself; your element works the hardest out of all of us. We can't build anything without your element of earth."

Lord Valkun: "It is okay, if he believes he can provide that and more for the rest of us than we can trust his word. He has provided for us in the past. I do not see why he can't this time around."

"Next, Gena, we need you to provide 6 spirit orbs to each of the sectors in everyone's current jurisdiction. We have to make sure that everyone is creating life fairly in every section."

Queen Gena: "Shouldn't be too difficult for me, last year I needed to give 8 orbs each, so this will be a lot less painful to pull off."

Lord Valkun: "Wiliaquo, I am going to need to push those wind crystals a little harder this year to get more of our elements pushed out there, with the expansion we need to make sure we are providing for every single timeline."

King Wiliaquo: "I'll make sure to build a couple more wind crystal channelers to make sure my station is at maximum power."

King Alces: "And how many sectors are going to be getting your fire orbs? Any resets this year?"

Lord Valkun: "Unfortunately, we have more this year. Acceleration is becoming more demanding with the destruction and recreation of worlds. We are looking at 40 orbs at least, that's 10 times as many as last year, and it's only going to get worse."

King Alces: "I was hoping it would be less..." He slouched down in his chair, fidgeting his fingers against the shifting table.

Lord Valkun: "I almost forgot, Monse, we are going to need 4 orbs distributed into each area-" His voice trailed off inside Monse's ears.

Queen Monse: She stared down at the table, still stuck on and thinking about the strange feeling from yesterday. Could it have been feelings? She wasn't supposed to feel anything; she is not meant to feel anything on that scale. Those feelings are against the rules; this can't possibly be true.

Lord Valkun: "MONSE!"

Queen Monse: She jolted up, startled by the sudden shout. "Yeah! Yes- 4 orbs for each, got it."

Lord Valkun: His eyes narrowed, placing the clipboard down. "Are you feeling alright?"

Queen Monse: "Yes, yes, I'm okay. Just a little beat up about all the destruction this year."

Lord Valkun: "Right...Well, try not to zone out again. This stuff is important."

Queen Monse: "Of course, I apologize."

King Wiliaquo: He watched her from across the table, his concern growing larger.

Lord Valkun: "Alright, a rather short meeting, but that is all we need to discuss for this year. We will meet up again towards the end of the year to check up on everything in each sector."

Everyone dispersed from the area, some quicker than others, but Wiliaquo stayed behind for a short bit.

King Alces: "You okay?"

King Wiliaquo: "Yeah, yeah, just- thinking I guess."

King Alces: His ears twitched, "Well, I'll tell you what, how about you stop by my world tomorrow and we can discuss what's on your mind."

King Wiliaquo: He nodded, "Yeah, that sounds fun." He felt a little calmer after talking with Alces, walking back to his rift gate to head home.
