Third person point of view
The next day, Junkyu went to work on time and it was the same as usual. He checked the time and there were 45 more minutes before he could clock out. He let out a sigh and continued with his work. Haruto walked out of his room as he called Jeongwoo. Jeongwoo picked up pretty quickly. " Yes ? "
Haruto spoke from the other side. " I am going for a meeting and I want someone to assist me. It won't be tough; only to note down a few details and just in case, I want to have someone from our side ". " Alright. I will see and send them to you ". " I will be in the parking lot ". " Okay ". Jeongwoo thought about it and decided to tell Junkyu.
" Kim Junkyu-ssi ". Junkyu heard Jeongwoo's voice and immediately stood up. He saw Jeongwoo looking in his direction and went to him. " Yes ? " " Pack your things and go to the parking lot. Sir is waiting there. He needs an assistant it seems. So go with him and just go home after the meeting ". Junkyu nodded. He wondered why he suddenly chose him.
But he still packed his things and left. He went to the parking lot and saw Haruto waiting on the side of the elevator. He didn't expect that the sir Jeongwoo mentioned was Haruto. He went up to him and Haruto looked up from his phone. He also looked surprised. " Junkyu-ssi ? " " Team leader said you needed an assistant ".
Haruto raised an eyebrow. " So you are in his team ? " Junkyu nodded. " Fine. Let's go ". Haruto said and they went to his car. Haruto took out a tablet and gave it to Junkyu. Junkyu took it and they both got in the car. Haruto drove them out of there. " Unlock it and there is a file open already. You can skim through it once ".
Junkyu nodded and opened it. He did find a file right there. He started looking through it as they drove. If he had any doubt, he asked Haruto who would explain it to him. They reached the place and the both of them got out of the car. " You can take notes in it ". " Okay sir ". They walked in and went to the lobby of the hotel.
They sat down on the chairs. Junkyu held the tablet looking at the content and also looked fully prepared for taking notes. Haruto glanced at him and couldn't help smile. " Don't need to be so nervous. Relax ". Junkyu nodded. He sat a little comfortably. Haruto smiled wider and they waited for 10 minutes before the other party arrived.
The both of them stood up. Two men stood before them. They gave big smiles when they saw Haruto. " I didn't expect to see you here sir ". Haruto smiled and they shook hands. They then turned to Junkyu. Junkyu gave a bow and greeted them. " He is my subordinate ". Haruto informed and the two of them greeted Junkyu back.
" Please sit down ". Haruto gestured to the chairs. They all sat down and started their discussion. Junkyu carefully took notes while they talked. And if required he would assist Haruto with the information or discuss a little. It did some quality time. Junkyu felt exhausted by the time they were done. They stood up and sent them off.
Both of them plopped down and let out a sigh at the same time. They looked at each other and burst out laughing. " That took too long ". Haruto said and Junkyu gave a nod. " Sir ". Junkyu called and showed him the notes and briefed on what was where. Haruto nodded, impressed by Junkyu's work. " You did well ".
" Thank you sir ". Junkyu smiled. Haruto put it away and they looked at the time. " Are you hungry ? " Junkyu slowly nodded. " Then let's go have dinner ". Haruto stood up and Junkyu also did. They walked out and Haruto took Junkyu to a restaurant nearby. They sat down and Junkyu was a little hesitant when he noticed the prices.
Haruto looked up at him. " Please order whatever you want. It is my treat today ". Junkyu was surprised. " Why ? " " You helped me today, right ? So please accept it ". " No way. It is part of my job. I can't agree to it ". Haruto let out a breath. " Then... how about manager treating their employee to dinner ? You can't reject that right ? "
Junkyu was at a loss for words. Haruto smiled when he saw his face. " Please enjoy it ". Junkyu gave up on trying to convince Haruto and ordered it. " If it is not wrong to ask... will they sign that deal sir ? " Haruto smiled. " It is fine to ask and yes. They will sign it ". He did think Haruto was really awesome throughout the meeting.
He maintained his cool without showing the slightest bit of tiredness. His tone was also very professional. The way he handled their questions was also perfect. Junkyu thought that he really deserved to be in the position he was. " You are very cool sir ". " Huh ? " Haruto laughed hearing Junkyu's words.
Junkyu was flustered. He didn't expect himself to blurt it out. He was just thinking and before he could stop himself, he already said it. But luckily Haruto didn't mind it. " Thank you. But what is this out of the blue compliment for ? " " Just... I saw how you handled the deal and thought so ". Junkyu said, a little embarrassed. Haruto nodded.
" It is nothing great though. Just a skill. And... I need to make a living too ". Junkyu chuckled and nodded. Junkyu did start admiring Haruto a little. He was a nice guy, gentle, he didn't show off just because he was an alpha, was talented at work and much more. He was the perfect guy. Their food was served and they had the food while talking about some work matters.
They finished and Haruto paid just like he said he would. They went to Haruto's car. " Get in. I will drop you. You live around here right ? " " How did you know that ? " " Jihoon sent me your address that day ". Junkyu nodded. He forgot about it. He did feel a bit lazy to find transport. So he decided to accept the offer.
Haruto raised an eyebrow and Junkyu nodded. They got in the car and Haruto drove to Junkyu's apartment. He parked outside to the side of the road. " Thank you so much for today ". Junkyu gave a bow. " It is nothing ". Junkyu smiled and got out of the car. " Drive safe ". He said and walked into the building.
Haruto smiled and was about to drive away when he saw his phone light up. He almost forgot. He called for Junkyu. " Junkyu-ssi ". Junkyu stopped and turned around. Haruto got out of the car and walked up to him. " What happened ? " Haruto gave his phone. " Your contact information ". Junkyu was surprised.
" I do agree we were just higher official and employee before but now we can be considered as acquaintances right ? Taking into account the fact that, we actually have common friends too ". Junkyu nodded. There was nothing wrong with it either. He took Haruto's phone and gave his contact information.
He called his phone and took Haruto's. " Thank you ". Haruto said, taking his phone back. " No mention ". Junkyu smiled. Haruto also did and walked away. Junkyu walked into the building and to his house. He sat down on the sofa and took out his phone. He saved Haruto's number and they also added each other to their friends list.
He couldn't help thinking about how they were meeting more often. He has been working there for a while and he has only ever seen Haruto from afar. But now he seems to be strangely getting entangled with him. He let out a sigh and went to take a shower. He felt a bit tired and wanted to sleep. So he did exactly that after the shower.
