Three of him now, each dripping malice, their crimson eyes locked on the fighters.
Piccolo slid one foot back, lowering into stance. "Don't let them separate us! They'll pick us off one by one."
"Too late!" one Buu bellowed, his body stretching like molten gum, a fist elongating toward Trunks.
Goten shoved him out of the way, energy flaring as he blasted upward. "We'll hold them! Trunks—Fusion?"
Trunks' jaw clenched. He nodded, but his eyes darted nervously toward Bulma as she staggered toward the console.
"Just do it!" Piccolo barked. His aura snapped to life, green lightning dancing across his form as he intercepted the second Buu with a brutal kick. The creature bent like rubber, then snapped back, its grin never fading.
"HYAAA!" Goten unleashed a wild barrage, energy bolts hammering the monster back. The hangar walls cracked with every impact.
Above the chaos, the ship's engines surged louder, pulling the ship up. Flames seared the floor, the entire chamber rattling like it might collapse.
Bulma's voice cracked. "Launch sequence—initiated!"
The ship lurched upward, steel clamps snapping free.
"Trunks!" Goten shouted. "Now!"
The boys dashed toward each other, their movements sharp, synchronized—fingers splayed, steps mirrored.
"FU—"
"Do you seriously think I'll allow that?"
The second Buu slammed between them, gooey arms snapping around their wrists.
Piccolo roared, his ki exploding in a blinding wave that tore the creature off the boys, sending it skidding back across the floor. For the first time, one of the Buus faltered.
Goten and Trunks didn't hesitate.
"—SION! HA!"
Light engulfed them. Their bodies twisted, fused, and the hangar trembled as raw power surged outward.
When the glare faded, Gotenks stood tall, aura flaring in wild, chaotic colors. A smirk spread across his face. "Heh. Now things get fun."
Above them, the ship ripped through the hangar roof, fire trailing from its engines as it shot toward the sky.
Inside, Bulma gripped the controls, her chest heaving with every breath. "Just hold together… please…" The black of space loomed ahead.
Back below, three Buus faced Gotenks and Piccolo, their laughter mixing with the thunder of battle.
Piccolo's chest rose and fell as he locked arms with one of the creatures. "It's too late… Bulma and the ship are gone. The chance to reach Namek… lost."
Another Buu tilted his head, grin widening. "Is it, though? Heehee… You might be surprised."
-Author here: I've fixed a small error in the story, but that's not the only reason I'm here… Porunga grants three wishes. I already have two, but for the third one, what do you suggest? (Note: I do have a wish in mind, but I'd like to hear your thoughts—maybe I'll change it.)
