The morning sun rose warm and bright, the forest buzzing with life. Bulma stifled a yawn as she stretched outside the Capsule House, brushing her long blue hair from her face. Buu was already awake, crouched lazily atop a rock, watching the trees with a faint grin.
Suddenly, a faint voice piped up from the path."Excuse me… could someone help me?"
Both turned their heads. A turtle—large, old, with a heavy shell—was waddling slowly through the underbrush.
Bulma blinked. "Wait… is that… a turtle talking?"
Umigame sighed, bowing his head. "Yes… my name is Umigame. I was trying to return to the sea, but I got lost. I've been wandering for days… could you perhaps guide me to the ocean?"
Bulma's face softened. "Aww, poor thing…" She turned to Buu. "Hey, come on. Let's help him."
Buu chuckled, hopping off the rock. "Heheheh… Lost for days, eh? How slow are you, turtle? Fine. I'll take you."
Before Bulma could object, Buu extended his arm—his flesh stretching unnaturally. He grabbed Umigame gently by the shell and, in a blink, shot into the sky. Bulma yelped. "H-Hey! Wait for me!" She scrambled onto her bike, chasing after them as best she could.
It didn't take long. Buu landed smoothly on a wide sandy beach, the waves glittering under the sun. He dropped Umigame onto the warm sand. "Here. Sea's that way. Don't get lost again."
The turtle bowed gratefully. "Thank you… thank you so much! You saved me."
Bulma finally arrived, panting. "You could've at least waited! Geez…"
But before she could scold more, a figure approached from the shoreline: an old man with a long white beard, sunglasses, and a turtle shell on his back. He leaned on his cane, grinning.
"Well, well, Umigame. You've returned. And it seems… you've brought guests."
Umigame beamed. "Yes, Master Roshi. These two helped me find my way home!"
Bulma's eyes widened. "Wait—'Master Roshi'? You're that famous martial artist, aren't you?"
The old hermit chuckled. "Hohoho… Indeed. And to thank this young man for helping my turtle, I'd like to offer a gift."
He clapped his hands. From nearby, a small golden cloud zipped through the air, hovering playfully before Buu. "This is the Kinto'un—the Flying Nimbus. A magical cloud that can carry only those pure of heart. It will serve you well on your journey."
Bulma's jaw dropped. "Whoa… that's so cool!"
Buu raised an eyebrow, smirking faintly. "Pure of heart, huh?" He stepped onto the Nimbus—only for the cloud to reject him instantly, slipping from under his feet. Buu dropped to the sand with a thud.
Bulma burst into laughter. "Pfft—HAHAHA! Guess we know what kind of heart you have!"
Buu dusted himself off, his grin turning sharp. "Heheheh… Cute trick. But I don't need toys to fly." He floated a few feet off the ground effortlessly, crimson aura flickering around him. "So keep your cloud."
He landed again, eyes sliding toward Roshi. "But… I'll take that instead." His gaze locked onto the glowing orange orb tucked under the old man's arm.
Bulma gasped. "A Dragon Ball!"
Roshi blinked. "Oh? You mean this? Yes, yes… my precious three-star ball. It's not something I just hand out."
Bulma's eyes sparkled with mischief. She stepped closer, swaying her hips ever so slightly. "Come on, old man… I'll make it worth your while. How about a peek at my panties, hm?"
Roshi's glasses fogged instantly. "E-Eh?! Really?!"
He leaned forward eagerly—only for a tall shadow to fall over him. Buu's hand shot out, resting firmly on the orb. His grin widened. "No deal, old man. She's not showing you anything. You want to thank me? Give me the Dragon Ball."
The tension in his voice left little room for argument.
Bulma pouted. "H-Hey! I had it under control!"
Roshi trembled under Buu's piercing gaze. After a moment, he sighed, clutching the cane tighter. "Fine, fine… You did help Umigame after all." Slowly, he handed over the Dragon Ball.
Buu caught it smoothly, the sunlight gleaming off its three embedded stars. He chuckled low. "Heheheh… Much better than a cloud."
Bulma folded her arms with a huff. "Tch. Buzzkill."
Buu smirked down at her, pocketing the sphere. "Don't pout. We got what we came for, didn't we?"
Roshi, still recovering, stared at Buu uneasily. "That one… he's dangerous."
Umigame nodded gravely, though Bulma was too busy sulking to notice.
