They walked into the mansion while the aides carried their bags inside.
Valzella went straight to her room, she had a lot on her mind to process while mrs adolpha went to check on the chamber in preparation for the following night.
The silver moon day finally arrived and the spirit of the school lifted, everyone had their potion ready in anticipation to receive special powers from the special moon, valzella also took a special potion bath and applied the ointment on her body in anticipation of the pain and tumult she'd have to face later at night.
The chamber was all set and the medical team were prepared for the night.
Evening came, valzella went down to the chamber located underground, she changed into a transparent silver suit designed to filter the moon light through a liquid that the chamber bath is filled with, she would be immersed in it unconscious with an oxygen mask for air, different wires plugged into different parts of her body to read her organs vitals, once she's inside, the tube would seal shut then the roof of the chamber would open allowing the tube to be hit directly by the moonlight powering it up then the transmission of energies would begin.
*** meanwhile at school ***
Lupus sat moody on the field's bench and watched the party go on unenthusiastically, he couldn't join the fun because he had a lot on his mind that made him lose interest in whatever activity was going on, even the beautiful brightly lit silver decorations couldn't lit his spirit, he drowned in self sorrow.
Theodulf walked up to him with two drinks in his hand. "Here!" He extended one to lupus. Lupus scoffed and turned his eyes elsewhere after seeing who stood in front of him.
Theodulf ignored him and took a seat close to him on the bench.
"So...how come the hottest guy on campus is all alone on such a special night?"
Lupus jeered at him.
"What? Am i in trouble for asking?" Theodulf shrugged his shoulders as he asked
"What do you want?" Lupus asked him in an unfriendly tone.
"Nothing much, just to have a drink with mr hottie" Theodulf teased.
Lupus rolled his eyes. "Is that what you call me behind my back?"
"Nah, it'll place you too high. Drink? You look like you really need one" he made another offer to lupus again.
Lupus glared at him for a while then took it.
"There, that's the spirit!" Theodulf teased him.
"Don't even think of starting a conversation cause i am not speaking to you." Lupus said in a really cold tone.
"Good, cause i only need you to listen to what i have to say."
Lupus sipped his drink without saying a word.
Theodulf continued "i couldn't help but eavesdrop on your conversation with val yesterday." Lupus looked at him. "Don't blame me, it's a vampire's thing. I've been thinking hard about it, you sounded really sincere and i believe you. I respect your efforts of apologising countless times to val (each time theodulf says the word val, lupus felt a bite of jealousy but he tried really hard to control it) for hurting her in the past. Everyone makes mistakes, realising it and owning it makes the lesson more important than the mistake made. I know you like val." Lupus have him a hard stare. "Yeah wolf, it's obvious. I know you watch her from the corners of the hallway, the caf, school field, literally everywhere she hangs out, i've heard your grits and boy they can be really loud and sharp, i know you lean on walls just to hear her laugh from her room. You think of me as a rival but i assure you, i and val are just friends, even if i wanted more than that i can't have it. Her soul has your imprint patch."
Lupus' eyes widened in surprise. No one knows about the imprint and mate matching except mrs adolpha, his father and the council, even valzella doesn't know about it yet, how did he...? "I'm a vamp wolf. Expect nothing less from me." Theodulf said bringing lupus back from his thoughts then he winked at lupus.
Lupus stayed quiet short of words.
"I can help you earn her trust. And maybe love, if you do as i say."
Lupus eyed him "what's in it for you?" He asked Theodulf suspecting he was doing this for a price like luna did before. He would not fall for another free treat trick again.
"Do i look like i need your favors? The Ilcynders are known for our balance keeping duty. Consider it a gift from the northern province. But if you break her heart or treat her in a way that makes her sad. I will crush your soul, believe me i can." His tone grew dark and scary and his eyes reddened as he warned lupus to show it's a word he would never go back on. "Deal?!" His tone changed back to being friendly in a glimpse.
"Deal!" Lupus answered in a semi perplexed state of mind, wondering what just transpired.
Vampires have a way of twisting the minds of other creatures and putting them in a state of delusion with their hypnotic abilities, Theodulf did not hypnotize lupus but when his eyes turned red, it frightened lupus a bit and made him question reality, he has never been afraid of anyone before but having the end of his hair stand, put him in a state of confusion.
Confusion of why Theodulf is making serious promises just to protect valzella to the point of making a sworn promise to destroy him if he hurt her.
He sipped his drink and tried to conceal his thoughts using his double fur ability else Theodulf would have lots of entertainment on his plate this evening asides the buzz of activities going on.
The full moon gradually came out in view changing the scenery, its reflection bounced off the silver decors giving the school an illuminating ambiance, the school looked divine. His mind drifted towards valzella.
