The process begun, the silver moon was full and bright and at the centre of the sky.
The moonlight hit the chamber roof which opened by default allowing the light to enter the tube she was in, as soon as it did, she shrieked loudly and laid still while her eyes changed to silvery blue and stayed wide open.
Her vitals were stable but she laid motionless as if unconscious, she stared blankly into the sky with her mouth slightly open.
Mrs adolpha worried as this was happening, she double checked the machines to ensure they were working soundly and if the readings they gave were correct as this was not a usual outcome in full moon nights, being a silver moon may give a slight difference but not as quick as this.
The chamber was designed to stay sealed till the moon goes down to protect valzella.
Few moments later valzella gasped faintly, her breathing was slow, silver lines appeared from the root of her hair to the ends changing her entire hair color from black to silver, mrs adolpha gasped in shock when she saw it.
Valzella started shaking gradually, it grew violent soon then her eyes turned white and she started foaming in the mouth.
Everyone in the room panicked. There was no way to shut the process down except through a by pass which involves pulling down a manual handle in the switch box, mrs adolpha tried but the handle was stuck.
*** at the school ***
"So. What do you suggest i do differently to earn her trust?" Lupus asked Theodulf at their fifth drink.
He'd become comfortable with theodulf within the last four hours they've sat on the bench talking, he feels he can trust him with his problems.
"First of all, every girl likes the idea of being rescued and they never forget the face of their hero. It's simple, always show up when she needs your help. That doesn't imply that you become a stalker it would ruin your intentions. Start slowly till you become the shoulder she literally leans on. She may not want it at first but with time she'll come around. And when she does, we'll go into the next step" Theodulf explained slowly ensuring lupus paid attention to every word he spoke.
"What's the next step?" Lupus asked curiously.
"Relax lover boy you haven't even begun the first step, get through the first step then we'll proceed to the next." Theodulf have him a wink.
"Hmm.." Lupus thought for a while then asked "how sure are you that this plan of yours would work?"
"Because it's coming from a wolf with two sisters, seven female cousins, lots of aunts. So yeah, i consider myself an expert in the women section. And yeah, the plan will work." Theodulf answered in a very sure tone as if he was expecting the question.
Lupus sighed then laid back on the bench to think.
"So. Lover boy, when do you intend to play the knight in shining armour?" Theodulf asked him with a smirk on his face.
"I dunno. She's not even on campus right now, she's home sitting out the..." He stopped as s sudden realisation hit his mind "i know just what to do!" He announced excitedly. "I'll be back!...not immediately but...you know what i mean." He changed into his wolf form and sprinted away.
"Atta boy!" Theodulf cheered as he watched lupus run off till he was out of sight, he sipped his drink with a smile on his face.
*** at the chamber ***
Mrs adolpha grew more worried as the time went by, valzella's shaking grew more violent as the usual movements in her bones started, it begun slowly at first, one bone at a time till it became worse, it seems as if all her bones (including her skull) moved within her, she screamed out loud in pain.
Her vitals began to drop slowly, mrs adolpha and the team tried to shut down the process but nothing worked.
The emergency handle was stuck, mrs adolpha had to change into her wolf form to move it but all attempts proved abortive, even her wolf strength was not sufficient. The more the moon shone over the chamber, the more chaotic the situation became.
*** meanwhile ***
Lupus made his way through the canopy of trees in the woods down the path that led to the mansion, he transformed back to his human form when he got to the door, he knocked but no one was around to open the door, while he waited for reception he admired the mansion.
The mansion stood tall and gigantic, it has a presence about it that only sensitive creatures can feel.
Mrs adolpha being an elder and one of the oldest werewolf made her worthy of such a home.
He knocked again and there was no response, he turned the door handle and the huge door opened, he walked in, not finding anyone he said a loud "HELLO!".
No staff was around (during full moons, they were always sent home) they, being humans made it unsafe to be around during full moon nights.
Unknown to the staff they worked for a folklore creature, mrs adolpha lives amongst humans like some humanoid creatures do, she's been around long enough to fit in.
Lupus looked around the house, the furniture and paintings on the wall says a lot that the owner is a werewolf or maybe an obsessive werewolf and folklore collector.
With no one around, he changed into his wolf form, he toured the house sniffing everything to pick valzella scent, he caught her scent on a book, followed it till it led him to her room, he sniffed out through the window, followed it till it led him to the chamber underground.
Mrs adolpha picked his scent when he was still a distance away, she was glad he was around, she let out a howl to communicate what was going on in the chamber.
He stopped dead on his track when the sound vibrations hit his fur, from the howl he knew valzella was in trouble, he doubled his speed and made for the chamber.
