Chapter 204 - Chapter 015: Gathering Information

The problem was obvious-Conan didn't have 100 million yen, let alone a billion.

"Then forget it. I don't have the money," he muttered.

Emiya raised an eyebrow. "Your father, Kudo Yusaku, is a world-renowned novelist. He can't come up with 100 million yen?"

Conan shook his head firmly. "That's his money, not mine."

Ah, pride. Emiya wasn't surprised. In the original story, after shrinking, Conan had refused to rely on his father's money to move to America. He wanted to solve cases using his own abilities. Independence like that was normal for him.

"Fine. Come find me when you have the money," Emiya said lightly.

Conan nodded.

Emiya clapped his hands. "If there's nothing else, we'll end here for today. Dismissed."

Miyano Shiho immediately grabbed her sister. "Let's go, Sis."

Miyano Akemi, still dazed, asked, "Where?"

"To a manga shop," Shiho said. She wanted to see One Piece for herself.

Emiya paused a moment. "Stop by a bookstore and get me some of the Baron of the Night series."

The Baron of the Night was a recurring character in Kudo Yusaku's novels-a mysterious phantom thief or cold-blooded killer, familiar to most mystery enthusiasts. It wasn't as famous as Sherlock Holmes, but still a strong detective classic. Emiya, now in this world, felt he should at least read it.

Shiho rolled her eyes but bought a set for him, handing it over. Emiya later read the series with keen interest before going to bed.

Meanwhile, back at the Organization's base, chaos reigned because of Chianti.

After being injured by Emiya's psychic bullet, Chianti hadn't died from blood loss. She managed to bandage herself and was rescued.

Upon returning, she reported the incident to the Boss, emphasizing Gin's plan to kill "with a borrowed knife."

The higher-ups were immediately concerned.

Gin, hearing the report, initially scoffed. Nonsense! How could someone catch a bullet barehanded? It was impossible. Chianti must be lying.

But Gin quickly calmed himself. Chianti wasn't a fool, nor a liar. Her report carried weight.

So Gin rushed to confront her directly.

"Gin!!" Chianti barked, fury in her eyes. If she weren't injured, she would have pounced.

"Whether you believe it or not, it wasn't my plan. I had no intention of killing with a borrowed knife," Gin said coldly.

Chianti wasn't convinced. "No intention? Monitoring Sherry is your job, yet you pushed it onto me. I ran into that monster! Are you saying that was a coincidence?"

"I know nothing of that person," Gin said calmly. "I was busy with another mission. You were available, so it was convenient. Coincidence."

"You expect me to believe that?" Chianti pressed.

Vodka tried to intervene. "Chianti, I can vouch for Gin-"

"Pah!" Chianti spat. "You're practically inseparable. Do you think I'd believe you?"

Vodka fell silent.

At that moment, the large screen in the base flickered, displaying a raven logo. A deep, authoritative voice echoed through the speakers.

"I already know about this matter."

Tension gripped the room. It was the Big Boss himself.

"Chianti, Gin is not responsible. He did go on a mission, which is why he delegated the task to you."

Chianti lowered her head. "I understand."

The Big Boss continued, "Can you guarantee your account of the man who injured you is accurate?"

"I'm not lying. That man is a complete monster," Chianti said anxiously.

"Gin," the Big Boss said.

"Yes," Gin bowed his head.

"No matter what method you use, gather all information about him. Suspend all other work and report to me directly."

"Yes, sir," Gin said slowly.

The screen went dark. The raven logo disappeared. Everyone exchanged surprised glances. No one expected the Big Boss to intervene personally.

Gin turned to Vodka. "Let's go."

They left the base, leaving a frustrated Chianti behind, unwilling to argue further.

Meanwhile, Emiya slept peacefully, unaware that injuring Chianti had drawn the attention of the Organization's highest levels. The Big Boss himself had ordered Gin to investigate him.

The next morning, Emiya prepared breakfast for Professor Agasa and the Miyano sisters.

Professor Agasa looked refreshed, but the sisters were tired-especially Akemi, who had dark circles under her eyes.

"So, what were you two doing last night?" Emiya asked, casually eating a sandwich.

Shiho calmly sipped her coffee. "I watched One Piece to understand Dr. Kureha, so I went to bed late."

"And you?" Emiya asked Akemi.

"Why is Dai-kun my cousin?" she muttered, mashing her sandwich with a fork. Her expression was conflicted.

Emiya nodded. "Ah... so that was on your mind all night."

"I had my first crush and found out I have a living relative here. Two happy things, but... why did it turn out like this?" she groaned.

Emiya gasped. "Could you not talk like that?"

Shiho looked puzzled. "Why?"

"Stomachache," Emiya said, rubbing his abdomen.

"Stomachache? You, a psychic?" Shiho asked.

"No, hearing that just gives me a stomachache," Emiya replied.

Shiho gave him a confused look.

"Let's eat. After breakfast, we'll go meet Dr. Kureha," Emiya said.

"Okay," Shiho agreed.

Akemi looked uneasy, but Emiya wasn't worried. She'd come around eventually.

After breakfast, Emiya led the sisters to the world of One Piece, arriving at Drum Island's castle.

"Chopper, I'm here to see you!" Emiya called out.

Moments later, Chopper appeared in the hallway.

"Ah! Mr. Emiya! Welcome!"

"Yo, Chopper. It's been a while," Emiya said with a smile.

Chopper's eyes fell on the Miyano sisters.

"Mr. Emiya... who are these two?"

"Miyano Akemi and Miyano Shiho. They're my subordinates. Akemi is a hopeless romantic. Shiho is a genius-she invented the poison APTX 4869."

Chopper recoiled. Poison? That was disgusting.

Emiya continued undeterred. "But it has a very interesting side effect."

"An interesting side effect? Does it make people die even worse?" Chopper asked, annoyed.

"No. Rejuvenation."

Chopper froze, jaw nearly hitting the floor.

"Rejuvenation. Genuine rejuvenation," Emiya clarified.

In an instant, Chopper bolted deeper into the castle.

"Doctorine! Doctorine! This is bad!"

Emiya chuckled. "Let's go upstairs too."

He led the Miyano sisters to Kureha's laboratory, pushing the door open to see Kureha with a bottle of wine and Chopper standing nearby.

"No matter when I see you, Dr. Kureha, you always seem to be drinking," Emiya remarked.
