Kureha let out a puff of air from a mouthful of sake, glanced at Emiya and his companions, and chuckled, "What's the big deal? Plum wine is something that makes you addicted."
"That's true," Emiya nodded.
"After all, plum wine is your favorite."
Kureha laughed heartily. "You're a sharp one, little Emiya. Chopper told me you seem to have invented something quite remarkable."
"It's not my invention," Emiya said, pushing Miyano Shiho forward.
"The one who invented it is Miss Miyano Shiho."
Kureha narrowed her eyes, examining Shiho closely. "To have such medical skill at a young age... admirable."
Shiho corrected her gently. "APTX4869 isn't a drug. It's a poison."
"Every medicine has its toxins. What's the difference?" Kureha took a sip of plum wine.
"So, why did you come see me today, little Emiya?"
Emiya smiled. "You should be able to guess my intention."
Kureha nodded knowingly and extended her hand. "Bring that thing here."
Shiho handed over a single APTX4869 pill. Kureha held it up to the sunlight.
"So this is the elixir of youth."
"It's just a poison," Shiho reminded her.
"So far, everyone who has taken this has basically died. Only one case survived and shrank."
Emiya spoke up at the right moment. "That's why I need your cooperation, Dr. Kureha. I hope you two can work together to remove the poison's toxicity while preserving its youth-reversing properties-to create a true elixir of youth."
Kureha nodded firmly. "No problem. Leave it to me. An elixir of youth is a legendary miracle. Let's make it happen."
"I have no objections," Shiho said.
Emiya nodded. "From now on, you can stay in this castle. Anything you need, I'll provide."
He handed Shiho a smartphone. "You can contact me across worlds. I've already saved my number."
Shiho looked around Kureha's lab. "I'm still missing some equipment."
"You name it, I'll get it," Emiya replied.
Shiho didn't hesitate. She wrote out a list on paper and handed it to Emiya.
He used his abilities to create some of the items instantly. For the specialized ones, he returned to the world of Conan and gave the list to Professor Agasa.
"Can you get these things?" Emiya asked.
Professor Agasa nodded. "Yes, but it will cost some money."
Emiya placed a few fist-sized diamonds on the table. "Money is no issue."
"No problem, then," Agasa said. "I'll have it ready soon."
However, "soon" ended up taking a week. When everything was ready, Emiya brought it to Shiho's lab in Kureha's castle.
"How is it? Missing anything?" Emiya asked.
"No, perfect," Shiho replied. The lab rivaled her old one in the Organization, if not better.
"Well, I won't disturb you then. Get to work."
Emiya left to let Shiho begin her research. He visited Cocoyashi Village to see Robin and Nami-a long-overdue reunion filled with laughter. After lunch, he returned to the Conan world.
With Professor Agasa and the Miyano sisters on board, the next target was Vermouth. Unfortunately, he didn't have her contact info. Emiya called Miyano Shiho, but Akemi answered.
"Where's your sister?" Emiya asked.
"She's working. She gave me the phone," Akemi replied.
"Do you have Vermouth's number?"
Akemi paused, then realized. "Boss, are you trying to recruit Vermouth?"
"Yes. She's worth recruiting."
"I'm just a low-level member. I don't have her number. Shiho should know a way to contact her."
Emiya nodded. "Then put her on the phone."
Shiho took the call. "Boss, I'm not that familiar with her. I don't have her number."
"Alright, I'll figure it out myself." Emiya hung up.
Vermouth was mysterious but had a public identity: the famous Hollywood actress Sharon Vineyard. She also played a dual role as Chris Vineyard, her daughter. Tracking her wouldn't be difficult.
Emiya had Professor Agasa call Conan to arrange a meeting that evening. When Conan arrived:
"The professor said you were looking for me?"
"Yes. I need your help to contact someone."
"Who?"
"Yukiko Kudo."
"My mom? Why?" Conan was surprised, though seeing the Night Baron novels, he had a wild imagination.
"I need her to help contact Sharon Vineyard."
Conan asked curiously, "The Hollywood actress?"
"Yes. In acting, she surpasses my mom, but this is about connecting her to me, not fandom."
Conan nodded.
Emiya picked up the phone. "Hello, Night Baroness. I'm Shinichi Kudo's friend."
Yukiko's voice came through calmly. "You sound young. Who are you?"
"Not much older than you," Emiya replied. "I want Sharon Vineyard's private number."
"I..." Yukiko hesitated.
"Don't refuse yet. You can call her and mention 'Silver Bullet.' She'll understand and help."
Yukiko was stunned.
"What's 'Silver Bullet'?"
"It's a promise between us. When she hears it, she'll agree."
Yukiko finally nodded. "I understand. Since you're Shinichi's friend, I'll help."
"Thank you."
Conan asked, "What does 'Silver Bullet' mean?"
Emiya explained, "'Silver Bullet' was the Miyano couple's research project. They were killed before completion, but Shiho used their work to develop APTX4869."
