Makoto roared in anger, cutting her off.

Makoto charged like an arrow, fist cocked, ready to strike. But Ais barely moved. A flick of her hand parried his punch; a step back avoided his kick. It was effortless. She toyed with him like an adult with a child.
Emiya, observing, sighed. "400 consecutive wins aren't all good things."
Makoto finally understood the gap. He hadn't landed a single hit. His punches and kicks were trivial to her. The difference between them was staggering.
Ais's strength wasn't natural; it was honed over more than a decade of Dungeon adventures, combined with Nen mastery. Makoto's era of peace left him unprepared for such a warrior.
After a few minutes, he bowed his head, admitting defeat.
"I lost," he said quietly.
Emiya nodded approvingly. Makoto knew how to accept defeat-a rare trait.
Makoto then asked seriously, "I want to feel the exact difference between us. Please, fight me at full strength."
"Don't," Emiya said. "Even if Ais used full strength, you wouldn't survive. This match is already enough to show the gap. You're not on her level."
Makoto looked confused.
"Think of it like this," Emiya continued. "You're a wolf. You don't leap straight to a T-Rex. You face a tiger first, then a lion, then an elephant. Only then could you even think about a T-Rex."
Makoto grimaced. "So... even a T-Rex isn't a match for Ais?"
"Not even close," Emiya said.
Makoto smiled wryly. "The gap is enormous."
Loki seized the moment. "Ais is mine. If you join my Familia, you might catch up to her."
Makoto shook his head. "No. I'll catch up on my own."
Loki's smile twisted. "Impossible. You don't even know Ais. You think you can surpass her through training alone? Don't underestimate her."
Loki released a fraction of her divine aura. The sheer pressure crushed Makoto to his knees. Sweat soaked his clothes.
"You... what are you people?" he gasped.
Loki smiled. "Ais should have told you. I'm Loki."
Makoto blinked. "Loki? A codename?"
"No. My true name. Engraved in my soul since birth." She laughed, an almost evil sound.
Makoto's mind raced. "No... that's impossible!"
"Nothing is impossible here, Makoto Kyogoku." Loki's eyes gleamed.
"Do you want to join my Familia?" she asked.
Makoto hesitated. "Are you taking me to Valhalla?"
Loki laughed. "No. Valhalla is for the dead. You'll join my Familia instead."
"Familia?"
"Yes. Only by joining and receiving my divine blessing can you hope to catch up to Ais. Without it... you'll never reach her, no matter how hard you try."
Emiya nodded. "Without divine intervention, humans cannot cross the limits of LV.6 adventurers. Nothing else is enough-except... for a certain bald person, perhaps..."
