Naynah's POV
I wake up rubbing my eyes. It's already morning—and damn, the first night without a strange dream. That's a first. I get out of bed, immediately sensing Ava is deeply unsettled.
" Ava, what's wrong? Is there danger? Why are you so restless?" I asked
She doesn't answer, pacing back and forth in my head, giving me a headache. I leave her alone and get ready for university. A new day, a new beginning, like my aunt always says.
After washing up and brushing my hair, I slip into jean shorts and a T-shirt. I know, not very "Alpha-like," but I honestly don't care. I know my entrance won't go unnoticed since I enrolled late, while classes have long been underway. I just grab an apple and head out.
Thirty minutes later, I arrive at Immortality. The place looks more like a castle than a university. I try to find the headmaster's office—it takes me an entire hour of wandering. Finally, I knock softly at the door.
"Come in," a voice answers.
The headmaster greets me, asks who I am, and starts droning on about the rules of the university. He hands me my schedule. When I turn to leave—damn it—I realize I'm doomed. My mother registered me in the Business Department, something I couldn't care less about.
I head out, muttering curses under my breath. The size of this place is insane—twice as big as any normal university. After more searching, I finally find my classroom. I burst in, clearly late. All eyes snap to me.
"Spectacular entrance." teased Ava
" Shut up, Ava." I said with agacement
The professor, Mr. Fonley, stares at me.
"Well, I suppose you must be the other student." said Mr Fonley
Other? So I'm not the only one late.
"That's me." I said
"Would you introduce yourself?" asked Mr Fonley
"Naynah Athènirah DELMAL." I said
"Nice. Couldn't you be a little friendlier?" said Ava with disbelief.
" Rule no. 33: An Alpha must never make friends." I replied
I snap at my wolf, who doesn't appreciate my coldness—but I don't care. The silence in the room is suffocating. Then finally, a student dares to speak:
"That's it? Nothing else?" said a student
I ignore him, heading for the only empty seat. As I walk, whispers break out.
"Who does she think she is?" said girl 1
"Such arrogance." said girl 2
"They say she's strong… she gives off a powerful aura." said girl 3
"Talking won't change anything. She's stronger than all of us combined, aura-wiser." said boy 1
"But what if she sucks at studies? Here, brains matter more than rank." said boy 2
I let them whisper while I sit down. Fonley tries to calm the class—it works, but Ava's agitation returns.
Then suddenly, I catch a scent—vanilla and pine. My two favorite things. Ava stirs instantly.
"MATE!" shouted Ava
No. No, this can't be happening. As if hearing her, he turns his head. Our eyes meet.
" Ohhhh, he's gorgeous! Our mate! He's ours!" she cheered
Shit. No, no, I tear my gaze away while Ava growls in protest. This can't be real.
" What are you doing? Look at our mate!}" said Ava, furios
No. Goddess, why him?
"He's perfect." said Ava
Perfect?! She must be blind—or that bond is rotting her brain. I shout at her in our mental link:
"Perfect? He's a damn vampire, do you get that? A VAMPIRE—the enemy our Alpha ordered us to kill! Do you think he'll ever let us bond with a vampire? And besides, he's probably here for the same reason we are—the princess. I doubt he feels anything for us. We're wolves. He's nothing but another damn vampire. So stop getting excited." I said
Ava whines in defeat and withdraws.
I grit my teeth. Why, Moon Goddess, why tie me to the very enemy of my kind? If it had been any other supernatural—fine. But a vampire? If he's the Vampire Lord himself, I'm screwed.
I force myself to listen to the boring professor. Yeah, I know I sound toxic right now—thank the Moon Goddess for that. How the hell am I supposed to handle this?

POV Kemran
A few hours earlier, I'd been wandering around this oversized university that looks more like a mansion than a school. But thanks to my senses, I eventually found my class. Just like that girl who walked in late—I did the same.
Her voice, though. So cold. Damn. She's the future Alpha of SM. Why does such beauty have to be a werewolf? If she weren't wolf-blooded, I'd have put her in my bed, broken that wild heart of hers, and moved on. What, you think I'd fall in love with her after sleeping with her? Dream on. I'm Kemran Kan TALOR—I never get attached, not even to family. Get that straight.
Then suddenly, I heard a voice: 'Mate' . It came from the direction she was sitting. I looked at her—and saw her staring back. That voice again: 'He's so handsome, he's our mate, he's ours.'
Shit. She looks away quickly, fighting to control herself. My instincts scream to roar and destroy something, but I can't—there are humans around. This girl is stunning, more than anyone I've ever seen. I try to focus on class, but my mind won't let go.
Wolves have mates chosen by their Goddess, but why the hell did I hear her wolf? How is that even possible?
The professor finally ends class, and I lean back, resting my head on the desk. Out of the corner of my eye, I see three guys approaching her. I know them—the Alpha triplets of the Black Moon Pack: Mathieu, Norgan, and Octavius Jackson. A surge of anger burns through me.
"Hey, beautiful. You look strong—and gorgeous. Want to have dinner with us?" said Mathieu
She sighs. I look up, curious about her reaction. Her cold, arrogant expression sends shivers down my spine—and I'm the damn Prince of Vampires. What a shame.
"And who exactly am I speaking to?" she asked
Her voice is pure ice.
"The Alpha triplets of Black Moon." replied Mathieu
She arches a brow.
"Am I supposed to know your names by heart?" she asked
The sarcasm is sharp. The triplets grit their teeth. Even I know who they are—thanks to Father's spy cameras inside the pack's house.
"Mathieu, Norgan, and me, Octavius. If you'd attended the Alpha Banquets, you'd know us." said Octavius
She smirks.
"Listen, idiots. First, I'm not falling for your little game. I won't be added to your list of cheap toys. Got that? Or you'll regret even laying eyes on me. Second, whether I attend banquets or not is none of your business. Third, I don't trust you. So get lost." she said
Damn. She's got a demonic streak like mine.
Mathieu tries to punch her. I almost leap from my chair to tear him apart—but before I can, she catches his fist effortlessly. My lips curl into a grin. She's well-trained.
Then it happens—the wolves lower their heads. Even the triplets. Submission. Why? Because she unleashed her aura. For someone without her wolf yet, her dominance is terrifying. What will it be like once she does?
She smirks darkly, whispering:
"Listen closely. Don't you ever dare touch me again. Or that hand will vanish, and that pretty face—you won't even recognize it. Alpha." she whispered but I hear it. The way she says Alpha, mocking him, makes me laugh inside. She lets go. The triplets slink away.
Idiots.
I feel her notice my gaze. Our eyes meet. Her black eyes shift, struggling against her wolf's control. She looks away again.
This will make my mission far harder. But she'll have a hard time finishing hers too. Still, as my father always says: A sovereign must sacrifice for the good of our race.
So I'll sacrifice my soul if I must. For the survival of our kind. To destroy SM, Harmony, and every supernatural being forever. Then, they'll all be nothing but legends—while we remain eternal.
