"So where is your ship?" Zoro asked Luffy.
Luffy pointed at the small ship, Zoro eyes become bigger.
"Really?" asked Zoro.
Luffy nodded and Jack also nodded.
"Who is our crewmate, only me, you and jack," replied luffy while counting his finger.
Look of disbelief can be seen on Zoro face.
10 minutes later....
Luffy sat cross-legged at the front of the boat, grinning from ear to ear. "We did it! Now our crew become bigger, Jack, and Zoro!"
"Ha...." Zoro grumbled, leaning against the side of the boat with his arms crossed. If he know that this pirate just started their adventure he might not agree, but Zoro is someone who honor his promise.
Jack stretched his arms behind his head. "Admit it, Zoro.... that was fun, starting a pirate crew with a small ship."
"Hmph." Zoro closed his eyes, pretending to nap. "Yeah, I agree. But…" He rested a hand on his swords. "Thanks for bringing me these."
Luffy laughed. "You're welcome! Now all we need is more crew and more meat."
At the mention of meat, his stomach growled loudly enough to make the boat shake.
"Of course," Jack muttered. "The future Pirate King's stomach strikes again."
The sun was bright overhead when Luffy suddenly stood up and pointed at the sky.
"MEAT!" he shouted.
Jack blinked. "What.... where?"
"There!" Luffy said, pointing at a massive bird flying overhead.
"That's not meat, that's a...."
Before Jack could finish, Luffy had already stretched his arms skyward.
"Gomu Gomu no… Rocket!"
His arms shot out and grabbed the bird by the neck.
The creature squawked in alarm, flapping wildly and before Zoro or Jack could react, Luffy was yanked off the boat and into the air.
"Luffy!" Zoro shouted.
His eyes went wide. "You've got to be kidding me.... he just got himself kidnapped by dinner."
Jack grabbed an oar. "Row! We've got to follow him before he ends up miles away!"
"Why did I agree to join this pirate crew?" Zoro growled, grabbing the other oar anyway. "You're the one who can turn stuff into gold can't you just turn the water into a road or something?"
Jack laughed breathlessly. "Sorry, but I think if we both row we will arrive faster."
The boat surged forward as the two of them rowed furiously, the bird getting smaller and smaller on the horizon.
Hours passed before they finally saw land and a small coastal town, smoke rising from its center.
"This doesn't look good," Jack muttered, scanning the shoreline.
As they got closer, they heard shouting and the sound of explosions. The smell of gunpowder stung their noses.
"What is going on in there?" Zoro said, standing up in the boat.
Jack eyes narrowed. "Looks like we're not the only troublemakers around here."
"Yeah, but where's Luffy?" Zoro demanded, scanning the sky.
As if to answer, they heard a distant BOOM and saw a puff of smoke near the center of town, followed by a familiar voice shouting angrily.
"That's definitely him," Jack sighed. "Only Luffy would cause this much noise five minutes after landing."
Zoro pulled the boat onto the shore. "Come on. If he gets himself killed, we'll never hear the end of it."
Jack hopped out of the boat, transmuting a nearby rock into a crude metal spear. "Let's go. Looks like we're walking into a warzone."
The town was in chaos. Villagers were hiding in their homes, peeking out through windows. The streets were littered with debris from small explosions.
In the center square, a massive figure in a red pirate coat stood laughing maniacally, his nose bright red like a clown.
"Bring out the next cannon!" the man ordered. "We'll show these villagers the price of defiance!"
"That has to be Buggy the Clown," Jack muttered, hiding behind a crate with Zoro.
Zoro scowled. "Clown or not, anyone who laughs while terrorizing civilians is going down."
Jack nodded. "Agreed. But first, we find Luffy."
"Already here!"
Both of them spun around to see Luffy standing casually on the roof of a nearby building, grinning.
"Luffy!" Zoro barked. "Do you have any idea how far we had to row to catch up to you?!"
"Yep!" Luffy said cheerfully. "You guys are slow."
Jack facepalmed. "Unbelievable. You get carried off by a bird, end up in a pirate-infested town, and you're still smiling?"
"Of course!" Luffy said, jumping down. "I found our next crewmate!"
Zoro blinked. "You what?"
Luffy pointed toward a nearby cage where a small, angry-looking orange-haired girl sat cross-legged, glaring at the pirates.
"She's a thief," Luffy said proudly. "But she's funny. I want her to join us."
Zoro groaned. "You can't just invite everyone you meet to join the crew!"
But before they could argue, Buggy spotted them.
"Well, well, well," Buggy sneered, grinning wickedly. "Looks like we've got ourselves some guests. Men! Bring me their heads!"
Jack tightened his grip on his transmuted spear. "Looks like we just became the main event."
Zoro drew one of his swords, his grin sharp and dangerous. "Good. I was getting bored."
Luffy adjusted his hat and cracked his knuckles. "Let's beat them up and get some meat."
