A man grunted in pain, as he was blasted by magic. It was an invasion of humanity, unknown beings wanted to kill humans. As a protector he defended the world, but right now the numbers were to much for him to go against.
He crashed against the ground, creating a huge crater beneath him. He saw a magi arrow being created and multiple beings came together to create it. As their advanced ships came closer to the ground.
An imposing scene as they took over the sky's. Their technology looked more advanced than mankind's on earth. Mages of their race pour lots of mana for this attack.
As they shot it forward wanting to exterminate the man who was having a hard time moving.
*Fwooosh*
It was instantly blocked by another attack, as a figure stood in front of him.
""Grrr! Enuma Elish!"
A menacing weapon glowing with power was unleashed by it. The woman shouted with presented rage, she wasn't going to let no one damage the man behind her. Not going to let him die, as her most powerful weapon and attack. Obliterated all ships, the whole world trembled.
The ships tried to activated their barriers, but even that was no match before the power of Ea. Her golden hair blowing through the wind. She was a captivating beauty, her red whine eyes carried anger, and a flame that wasn't going to extinguish.
"Get up you! Mark don't you dare give up on yourself"
The man named Mark looked at the beauty who had eyes filled with worry.
"Gil...."
"Bastard do not die on this king!"
She hurriedly got to his side, watching a massive hole in his chest. A gap that was mortifying, as he was loosing strength. But this was enough for them to take the woman who was a king of heroes, someone's name that many respected and feared. Her breath was ragged as she sustained battle injuries. Cuts, bruises and the depletion of her mana.
"Gil!"
Gil was a bit slow to respond, as the attack was as strong as the first one. Gil was already exhausted after the one day of fighting without rest. Along with the man she tried to help out. Both have fought side by side tearing down the unknown invaders forces. But it was quite a to many, probably half of their forces was cut down.
Gil felt the words get stuck in her throat. As she saw Mark the one she stood side by side, her first friend, the first person to not fear her, the first one to talk back to her. The first to put up with her demeanor and...her first love.
"Haaaaaa!"
Mark was blocked it with a shield made of the remaining mana he had. But it was breaking, as the ships shot beams of pure energy. Pouring against the shield of Mark's, he gritted his teeth. Blood seeping out of his mouth, nose and eyes. As he was slowly being pushed back.
"Run from this Gil!"
"No i'm not leaving you behind!"
"Don't be thick-headed! This attack will wipe us both out!"
Mark shouted, as he gritted his teeth, Gil felt her fears sinking in as she saw how he was withstanding the attack. He was suffering right in front of her even more, her heart wretched in pain. She tightened her grip on EA's handle as she was going to help.
*Bzzzzz*
More beams from other ships blasted their beams from them. Each beam carried a terrifying amount to destroy a city and level a whole country.
"GO! Stop standing here trying to help!"
He didn't want her to die here, to be hurt.
"This king doesn't back down! I will never surrender and beside you, I'll die with you!"
"Then..."
Mark felt his heart saddened, his eyes carried regret but also was filled with conviction.
"....I'm sorry Gil"
"Huh....!?"
He whispered those words unheard by Gil, who then felt herself being pushed into some sort of portal. As she appeared where she sat, her kingdom and throne. But it was in ruins after the attack.
"N-N-No! No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, NO! Mark!"
She realized what just happened as the portal slowly closed on her, showing the last seconds of him smiling. As he said his words beloved words.
"I love you"
She couldn't hear it but, she could read his lips as he smiled at her.
"I'm sorry"
She witnessed the beam's of energy break Mark's shield and envelope him in the blast. As he screamed in his last efforts to stand his ground. The portal closed, her biggest fear came to life, her worst nightmares came to hunt her. The one person that could put up with her attitude, the person to get to know her as a person than just a king.
He was gone right in front of her very eyes. Gil gave him, her mind and body a one time thing. A week before, but they didn't get to really solidify their relationship. As she was a haughty, arrogant and annoying person as many people would described her. But she could definitely rule a kingdom well.
But they knew of their feelings for each other, Gil heart broke, her very being shook with intense emotions.
Her hand had been instinctively reaching out for him, at a running position. But, she dropped to her knees, instant negative emotions burned through her.
"NO! Aaaaaaaaaah!"
She roared in sadness, anger, and hate. Tears streamed down her cheeks, as the physical pain she had became numb. Her mental shook violently, as she felt her heart shatter, her being become void.
She instantly surged with power, as the world would now know of a king who lost her beloved. A king who would rip those invaders limb by limb.

Her power skyrocketed, Ea by her side shook violently, responding to her chaotic emotions. As she punched the floor creating a massive crater.
"I'll kill you all!!"
She roared in declaration to promising the death's of those who took her partner, friend, man and lover away from her. It was the beginning of Gil's vengeance.
