Chapter 15 - Chapter 14 Sandra’s Pets

They quickly made it to Eden 2, he only intended to take

pictures like they did before. But Sandra spotted some dogs among this group,

and unfortunately, they had puppies as well, without asking she landed her

craft next to the Camp area, he quickly followed, and exited his craft, fearing

they may see her as a threat, he shouted to their leader, Joseph waved back at

him, with arms wide he welcomed them both, the women and children gathered

around Sandra, they had never seen a female angel before. The men of course

were agape, never had they seen a woman so well kept. She of course had her own

agenda and asked about the dogs, one of the older children grabbed her hand and

led her to the puppies, they looked to be about six weeks old, the mama dog

looked like a giant hound and was getting tired of the little teeth, she jumped

up and moved to one side. Sandra sat down and gathered the pups in her

lap. Heaven's people had never allowed pets in the Bunker but today was a

new day and her man was the leader of the world. He looked on with knowing

eyes; in his heart he knew he could deny this woman nothing. He handed their

leader books on learning a language, like a first-grade primers, though they

had been taught words and formed their own language for different things, they

needed to be able to read to follow his simple book of

instructions. Joseph their leader, offered two puppies to her, both male

dogs, Sandra happily accepted and handed him a tin of wafers, telling him use

them on anyone who got sick, or in case of emergency. He then gave her a

leather bag with several holes in it, to store her pups for transport.

Repeating the same process, Michael taught how to make bows and arrows and

Sandra taught lessons in pottery.

They returned to their craft and lifted off, they probably

could have made the next stop Eden 3, but it was getting late, so they landed

their craft on the next open place near a stream, they were not the only ones

that liked this spot, there where horse prints all over it. She led her pups

the stream and let them drink their fill, then she fed them some dry meat, then

laid down spooning into Michael's arms for warmth, she pulled her new pups up

next to her body, and they fell asleep without complaint accepting their new

mother.

Light burned his eyes as he welcomed the new morning, this

is going to be an interesting day, his priority had shifted, there have never

been wild horses in this area before he mused, this will be a very great

benefit for his people in the future if he could manage to get them back to the

facility, but how could he do it? Thinking back to some of the novels he had

read in the bunker library on wild tribesmen, he knew they could be tamed. Regardless,

they still had work to do. Sandra was already up, tending the fire and playing

with the pups. They gathered the gear, and got in their aircraft, flying

further south to Eden 3. Micheal met with their leader, Josuah, handed him the

books on language.

 Again, teaching how

to make bows, arrows, and pottery. Promising in the future he would return with

more rules/guidelines by which they could live in peace.

 Flying away he

instructed Sandra to look for horses or other beasts they may have use for at

the Bunker, flying in a zigzag pattern they searched from the sky the area

around where the tracks had been spotted, it did not take long, Sandra spotted

about twenty horses following a large brown stallion, I want one she screamed

into the com, again without asking she landed her craft, I swiftly followed her

with a lot more trepidation, large animals do not survive without killing

things that threaten them, leaving the pups with the aircraft she walked toward

the herd I followed closely behind, the horses had spotted us, she calmly

walked to a fallen log and sat watching the beasts as they grazed, I sat next

to her. The horses, being naturally curious beasts kept getting closer, until

the stallion could no longer contain his curiosity, and walked toward them

purposely. I'm wondering how we are going to manage to get them home.

Sandra held out her open hand, containing some grains and berries, the big stud

sniffed, snorted, and started eating from her hand, she was one continuous

smile, she handed me some grain, and I fed a few of the mares. Being at a loss

I asked Sandra how can we get them home, well we will have to ride them she

said excitedly.

 I looked at her like

she was crazy. But I pulled off my wide braided belt and started pulling out

the braids, after I had gotten all 50 ft. spread out, I started braiding it

with a three strand braid technique, the single strand may have been strong

enough to restrain the stud horse, but I was afraid it would cut him or my

hands, seeing his actions Sandra started the same process with her belt. When

they finished, they had two thirteen-foot ropes just enough to form a halter

and have about seven feet of rope to use as a lead rope. I much as Micheal

dreaded the next part, he had Sandra feed and pet the Stud while he furtively

slid the halter over his nose and behind his ears, the horse was so engrossed

in eating the sweet grains ne never noticed. Micheal had positioned them by a

young sapling about five inches in diameter, he quickly took one turn with the

rope around the tree, when the stud felt the halter tighten, he exploded,

bucking jumping, chasing Micheal around the tree numerous times, but in the end

settled down, he then led the somewhat tired horse to a nearby stream, stripped

down to just his shirt and jeans, he then led the horse into waist deep water.

Leaping quickly with horse's mane already in his fist he mounted it, then the

fun began, the Stud bucked violently, and in a few seconds, Michael flew of his

back. Still maintaining his grip on the lead

rope, he remounted. This went on for a good ten minutes until finally the horse

just stood still trembling in the water, he kicked his heels and rode the exhausted

horse out of the stream only to be met by Sandra astride a mare, she hardly

bucked at all Sandra giggled. Michael, who had been kicked and bitten several

times did not find much humor in it. If he had be a lesser man, he would probably

have been stomped to death. It was now getting late with the two horses tied to

trees, they made camp and played with puppies, the rest of the herd stayed

close since the Stallion was their leader, they sniffed the puppies and all

received a little treat from Sandra.
