Chapter 19 - The World Will Begin to Change at This Moment

Not far from Stormhill City, the six people looked at the guards wandering around the city walls in the distance.

"Are those zombie-like people like this because they've lost the blessing of the Golden Rule?" The enhanced daylight allowed Kevin to easily spot the strange features of the Stormhill City guards.

Xiling nodded and replied, "Yes, because the ring's shattering and the eternity have become a curse, these people's souls are already troubled."

Xiling turned his gaze to Luo Tianyi, "I'll be counting on you, Tianyi."

Luo Tianyi's blessing, Voice of the Stars, transforms sound into power. This power is so powerful that it can even animate ordinary trees, transforming them into something like dryads, and can even make stones move. Of course, this requires mental energy, which can be restored after rest.

Because of Luo Tianyi's ability, the group came up with a plan, one that didn't require much combat: use her power to hypnotize the soldiers. Luo Tianyi rubbed her head and said, "I don't know if I can succeed."

Houraiji Kyuushou pounced on Luo Tianyi from behind, hugging her and saying with a grin, "I believe you can do it, Tianyi. After all, you're the Savior's partner."

Xiling reached out and flicked the Savior's head hard. Houraiji Kyuushou withdrew her arm from Luo Tianyi in pain, covered her forehead, and looked at Xiling pitifully, "Hero, what are you doing?"

Xiling withdrew his arm and pulled Luo Tianyi behind him, then looked at Houraiji Kyuushou, "This is our Hero team's auxiliary. Don't mistake her for someone else, okay?"

"Hmph, Hero, you'll regret this!" Houraiji Kyuushou snorted, then two daggers transformed into legs and flew out, landing behind Houraiji Kyuushou before transforming into a pair of wings. Houraiji Kyuushou excitedly said, "Alright, let's get moving! I can't wait any longer."

The Dark Night Wings possessed the ability to teleport. As long as it was within Houraiji Kyuushou's sight, she could teleport precisely there. Now, they were planning a surprise attack on Stormhill City.

Xiling placed his hand on Houraiji Kyuushou's shoulder, and the others followed suit. Like an eagle catching chicks, the six of them lined up in a row.

"Are you ready?"

"Let's begin."

"OK." With that, Houraiji Kyuushou's wings spread wide, staring intently at Stormhill City. A certain energy began to pulsate from her wings, and in the next second, she vanished from the spot.

Inside Stormhill City.

"Did you hear the wailing last night?" a lifeless soldier addressed his companion. "I heard it."

"Do you think it will be our turn one day?"

"Don't overthink it. How could Lord Godrick consider guards like us so worthy?"

"...Lord Godrick has gone mad. Haven't you seen? Those nobles are also having their limbs reattached, but he pays no attention!"

"...Stop talking."

"He's never cared about us. Do we really want to serve someone like him?" The soldier's tone was filled with confusion, and those who heard it around him shared the same look of bewilderment.

They didn't know what to do. They had once been proud of their loyalty to the Golden Order, but now everything had changed.

Just as they fell silent, a sound horn blared, the kind that is blown when an intruder is spotted. Countless soldiers sprang into action, surrounding the six intruders.

The coat draped over her shoulders was swung fiercely by Houraiji Kyuushou, sending it rustling in the air. "This is the power of the savior."

"Well done," Xiling offered his praise without hesitation.

"Can't you just take a moment to check your surroundings?" the Tarnished said unhappily to the two, gazing at the dense crowd around them.

"Tianyi, it's up to you," Xiling gave a thumbs-up. The others also exchanged encouraging glances. Houraiji Kyuushou even shouted, "Go, Tianyi, show them your world-controlling Word Spirit!"

The leading guard stepped forward and shouted, "Hey, who the hell are you!"

Xiling stepped forward. "To save the people of the Lands Between. We're here for only one reason."

Countless soldiers' gazes fixed on Xiling, their eyes fixed on a madman. And that madman was Xiling, the one who had spoken of saving the Lands Between.

"Perhaps you think I'm crazy, but I must say this," a voice, enhanced by magical power, echoed throughout Stormhill City.

"Everyone, listen! The world will begin to change from this moment. We will repair the Circle of Rule and construct a new Rule. Order will be restored to the world!"

The voice echoed endlessly, and time seemed to stop. The people stared in astonishment at Xiling's loud words. Is he crazy? Does he know what he's saying?

How dare he say such things?

Above the city wall, a young girl lifted her hood, revealing her delicate face. She looked down at the figure surrounded by the crowd, her eyes flickering with uncertainty.

A tall figure at the gates of Stormhill opened his eyes.

"...Is this just a madman's lies, or..."

"...If you truly have the ability, then step forward, over this body, and stand before me."

Inside Stormhill, a man covered in arms also heard Xiling's voice.

"Order...glory...new laws. This ridiculous world can no longer return to its former state. No one can make it work. No one can..."

"Mad! Madman, you madman!" roared the leading soldier, then raised his weapon and shouted at Xiling, "Kill this madman!"

The soldiers rushed forward, intending to hack the man who was speaking nonsense into pieces. But at this moment...

"Stop!"

A voice echoed in their ears, its voice incomplete, but their bodies instinctively obeyed its command and stopped.

"What's going on? Magic?" The guards began to struggle, trying to break free from their impasse, but just then, another voice rang out.

"Please ignore us!"

As these words fell, the men found themselves able to move. They looked around in confusion, as if wondering why they were there, before finally dispersing and returning to their original positions.

Kevin waved his hand in front of a soldier, who completely ignored him. More than that, he couldn't help but sigh, "That's quite a powerful ability!"

Hearing this, Xiling immediately retorted, "Isn't your ability even more outrageous?"

Kevin looked away. "It's fine. By the way, let's get going! Let's go!"

With that, he led the way forward.

The others exchanged glances, chuckled, and followed.
