Chapter 18 - Action Game

Adam: Todor? So he is... who is he exactly?

Greg: People usually refer to him as the perfect perfectionist.

Adam: Perfectionist?

Greg: Someone who always wants to make the maximum out of what is possible, and he seems like he has never failed that so far.

Adam: Like... what? What has he achieved so far?

Greg: Well, there are some of them, like he earned PhDs, three of them to be exact, quantum physics, computer science and psychology. He also climbed Mount Everest without any supplemental oxygen. Have black belt in karate. He became the youngest grandmaster in chess, they say he has an IQ between 190 and 210, should I keep going?

Adam: Uh... ah, well... I feel dumb compared to this guy. It's not a wonder I didn't have a chance...

Greg: Yeah... I know, and as I saw, he is also pretty good in mind games as well.

...

The next morning, everyone was down in the main area since the alarm woke everyone up.

Referee: Listen up everyone! It's time to introduce you all to the third game! First, I will explain the rules of the game! It's called "Action Game"! In this game everyone will play with players with the same score and once again, will be played in groups of four! This time, the game will end in one day, but players with different scores will not play the same day. To be exact, those who have 0 points will play their games on the first day, those who have 1 points will play on day 2, those who have 3 points will play on the 3rd day and finally on the 4th day, those who have the perfect score of 3!

Referee: All four people will sit around a table, for every round, everyone will have two cards at the start of the turn, a turn will last 5 minutes, in that given time, you have to decide what you will play. The two cards will be "Action" and "No Action" every round. There are three possible outcomes considered with the ratio of Action and No Action.

Referee:

- Firstly, if everyone uses the same, either Action or the other, everyone will lose points. The one having the most points will lose 3 points, the one having the second most loses 2 and the other two loses 1. Same if there's 2 with the same points. If everyone has the same amount, everyone loses just 1 point.

- If the ratio is 1:3, then the individual that used a different card than the other will gain 3, and the others lose 1 point. So to put it simply, the one with the ratio of 1, steals a point from the others, and it's not matter who used the Action or No Action.

- And the last one, 2 Action and 2 No Action. Those who used Action gains 1, and those who used No action loses one.

After every round, the cards will be dealt.

Referee: everyone will start with 10 points, the one who has the most points after 10 rounds will win. If someone loses all their points, meaning they have 0, will lose, and because this game needs 4 players, if that happens, or if someone is cheating, so gets disqualified from the game, the game will end, it won't continue with 3 players and again, the one having the most points wins. If there is more player that has the most points, all of those players are considered as winners.

Referee: The teams will be sent to your devices. It should have already arrived to you, and remember, if anyone will still have 0 Big Points after this game, will officially have to say goodbye from the Big Win Chance Game.

Referee: Also, while you are not in a game, and there are ongoing matches, you are free to spectate other matches.

Later that day, in Greg's room

Adam: Okay, so let's check who we will play against?

Greg: You should start, who will you play against?

Adam: Let me check fast. It's Frank, Joe and Karson, I don't know any of them.

Greg: Neither am I. Well, of course, not a lot of people here is at least a little popular.

Adam: And what about you? Who are you playing against?

Greg: Let's see... Hmm... I see.

Adam: Who is it?

Greg: Brielle, Oli, and of course, as I thought, Todor.

Adam: Oh, that's tough. And you actually predicted it, just because you knew the show want the views as high as possible, you were really calculating with every information. Anyway... Is there a way to win? Or at least just to increase my chance of winning?

Greg: And once again... You have to play by yourself, if you win because I tell you some really efficient strategy. Is it really your victory?

Adam: Haah, yeah, so you're still not helping anything.

Greg: Just one piece of advice.

Adam: Advice? What advice?

Greg: Well, you are always thinking too strictly inside the game rules, not thinking about how to exploit it, you should "think outside the box", you know?

Adam: Think outside the box? Well... maybe, I could try.

The next day:.......

Adam: The games of the 0 pointers will start soon, I wonder what the outcomes will be.

Greg: Does it really matter who wins?

Adam: Well, if I end up losing tomorrow, it's better to know who my opponents might be in the game after this.

Greg: Yeah, that's for sure, but you think you will lose?

Adam: Of course I hope not!

Greg: Not just hope, do everything you can to win, I can see a high potential in you, you are much smarter than you think but somewhy, something blocks you, it might be because of how stressed you are in these games, just maybe. With the potential you have you shouldn't have any problem winning tomorrow.

Adam: You really think? I'm not sure. You're just overrating me.

Greg: Not at all.

Referee: The Game of the 0 pointers, day 1, starts now! You can watch the matches in your rooms on your TV or in the main hall of the hotel!
