Chapter 11 — A Sun That Burns Black
MC POV
The Cocoyasi coast was quiet—too quiet for a place about to drown in blood.
Sunny leaned against a lamp post, hands in pockets, grin stitched across his face. His Observation Haki painted every heartbeat on the incoming ship. He felt their arrogance, their hunger, their certainty of victory. It tickled him.
> Sunny (chuckling): "Perfect. Sharks walking into a butcher's shop."
{Ego}: Correction: a slaughterhouse.
[System]: Please record everything, Master. Your cruelty is… exquisite.
The Arlong Pirates stormed ashore, muscles bulging, jagged teeth flashing under the moon.
Arlong stepped forward, tall and proud, his saw-nose cutting the night air.
> Arlong: "This land belongs to me now! Kneel, humans, or drown in—"
CRACK.
Sunny didn't let him finish. A casual flick of his finger sent a shockwave splitting the air. The dock planks splintered. Half the crew stumbled, ears bleeding.
> Sunny: "Blah, blah, blah. Heard it all before. Sharks should stay in water."
---
The Hunt Begins
A massive brute lunged first, gills flaring. Sunny sidestepped lazily, pressed two fingers against his spine. Knock.
The fish-man dropped, limbs spasming, paralyzed.
Sunny crouched, patted his cheek almost kindly.
> Sunny: "Shhh. Don't move. The game's just starting."
Then he stomped down, ribs snapping like twigs. Blood sprayed.
Another rushed him with a sword. Sunny's Haki hardened the air itself—Air Crunch. The blade shattered in his grip. Sunny twisted the fish-man's arm until tendons screamed, then ripped it clean off.
> Sunny (cheerful): "You dropped something."
He tossed the severed arm at Arlong, who stiffened but didn't flinch. Yet.

Crew's Perspective
Hatchi's thoughts (the octopus swordsman):
What the hell is he?! That's no human brat! He's moving faster than sound, twisting reality itself. This isn't a fight—it's execution.
Kuroobi's thoughts (the manta bruiser):
Impossible. He's one boy! We're superior! We're… superior…
His thoughts faltered as another comrade screamed, collapsing as Sunny used knocking to shut off his lungs for thirty seconds. The fish-man clawed desperately at his throat until he passed out, foam spilling from his mouth.
---
Illusions of Madness
Sunny extended his Haki, layering Observation and Conqueror. Reality bent.
The dock twisted into a fleshy nightmare—boards rotting into ribs, sea churning into blood. Fish-men saw their own reflections, skin peeling, eyes melting.
Crewmen dropped their weapons, shrieking. Some slashed at their own arms to tear away invisible insects crawling beneath their scales.
> Sunny (laughing softly): "Oh, don't worry. None of this is real… yet."
One fell to his knees, sobbing for his mother. Another curled into a ball, whispering prayers.
Sunny's grin widened.
---
Comedy in Cruelty
A shark-faced thug tried crawling away. Sunny casually stepped on his tail fin, pinning him.
> Sunny: "Where do you think you're going? Sharks don't run… they swim. Want me to toss you back in the ocean?"
He yanked the fish-man up and hurled him into the sea—except Sunny's illusion turned the water into boiling acid. The pirate screamed as if flesh melted, though it was only his mind breaking.
{Ego}: Host displays impressive creativity in torture.
[System]: 10/10 sadism. Replay button, please.

Arlong's Fall
Finally, Sunny turned to Arlong, who still stood tall, though sweat dripped down his temples.
> Arlong (snarling): "You're strong… but you're still human! I'll—"
Sunny vanished. Reappeared inside Arlong's guard, fist rammed into his jaw. Teeth shattered like glass shards.
Sunny forced a crackling black orb down his throat—a Haki Bomb.
Arlong gagged, eyes bulging as black lightning burned through his insides. Blood frothed from his nose. His muscles convulsed, scales bursting apart.
> Sunny (smiling softly): "Swallow. Be a good fish."
BOOM.
The explosion ripped Arlong's stomach outward, chunks of flesh painting the dock. His legs collapsed, his jaw hanging half-destroyed.
Sunny crouched, whispering like a friend.
> Sunny: "You thought you ruled humans? No, shark. I rule monsters."
Then he pressed a foot down, caving Arlong's skull into paste.
---
The Silence After
The crew was nothing but mangled heaps—limbs torn, minds broken, bodies twitching in pools of blood.
Sunny stood in the middle of it, chest rising slow, grin never fading. His clothes were drenched crimson, his hair matted with gore.
He looked at his bloody hands, then laughed.
> Sunny: "Messy… but fun."
He walked back to Belle-mère's house, stripping on the way. In the shower, he hummed, steam mixing with the faint metallic scent still clinging to him. Water ran pink, then red, then finally clear.
{Ego}: Efficiency: 100%. Overkill: excessive.
[System]: Overkill? Please, Master, do it again tomorrow.
Sunny's laughter echoed against the tiles.

The Morning After
At breakfast, Aqua and Nami sat glaring at each other over the table. Belle-mère poured tea, eyeing Sunny's suspiciously satisfied grin.
> Aqua: "Why are you smiling like that?"
Nami: "Yeah… it's creepy."
Sunny (buttering toast): "Just had a good workout."
[A/N: hit me with that stone please]
