Chapter 59 - His confession

The car stopped before a shimmering hotel, all marble and chandeliers. Hana stared, breathless.

"Wow," Yuri said. "Babe, you really caught a rich one."

"Yeah, right." Hana laughed weakly. "I'm just trying to survive him."

They followed a receptionist into a private suite filled with soft jazz and champagne. But Hana saw only one person.

Kai.

Standing apart, in a fitted ivory shirt and silver chain that caught the light. Calm. Collected. Deadly handsome.

As if sensing her, his gaze lifted—and everything else disappeared.

Yuri leaned over, whispering, "He's looking at you."

"Good luck," Nari added, smirking as they slipped away.

Kai walked toward her, each step slow, deliberate. "Seo Hana."

His tone carried her name like something sacred.

Hana smiled faintly. "What? Did you miss me?"

He nodded once. "I missed you. A lot."

She blinked. "You… what?"

"Did you miss me?"

She tried for defiance. "Why should I?"

He stepped closer, lips quirking. "Are you sure?"

"Ahem."

Both turned.

A tall man with mischievous eyes and a glass of whiskey grinned. "Hi, sister-in-law."

"What?" Hana asked.

"I'm Jung Taemin—Kai's brother."

"Oh! I—nice to meet you."

Taemin chuckled. "Can't believe someone actually fell for him."

"Hey—" Kai started, but Hana laughed, covering his protest.

Taemin smirked. "You know what they call him at work? Stone face. Ice statue. Emotionless."

Hana raised a brow. "That's hard to believe."

"With you, maybe," Taemin said softly. "He smiles too easily when you're around. It's… nice to see."

"What?" Hana whispered.

Kai slid his hand into hers. "Yes and it's because I'm in love with Hana. Happy now?"

Then he pulled her away.
