Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: A Miracle Really Happened

He had just come face to face with Russell who was about to emerge from the cave.

Seeing Russell's vicious, greedy face and the woman he was dragging, Henry immediately understood what was happening.

"Pfft!" Henry's right-hand dagger swiftly sliced across Russell's throat, severing his windpipe in one stroke, then threw it at a bandit three meters away who was facing him directly, instantly piercing his throat.

Then Henry drew throwing knives from his knife harness with both hands.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh" - three throwing knives flew at high speed one after another, striking the other three bandits in the cave like lightning.

Henry didn't even need to activate his Super Reaction talent. At such close range, he could accurately hit targets with throwing knives even with his eyes closed.

With his agility boosted by an additional 20%, his knife-throwing speed probably didn't exceed 0.2 seconds. Three knives took about half a second to one second total - the three bandits couldn't react at all before having throwing knives pierce their throats.

At this moment, Russell's originally vicious gaze instantly turned to overflowing despair!

He released his tight grip on Madeline's hand, both hands instinctively covering his throat as he fell with rattling sounds.

Henry charged like a pouncing tiger toward the two young bandits five meters at the back.

The sudden turn of events stunned Bick and another young bandit who had also been watching. In less than a second, the enemy had pounced right in front of them!

The two were momentarily flustered, not knowing whether to draw guns or knives, and were immediately struck by Henry's lightning-fast left and right hooks to their jaws. They fell backward unconscious.

Henry took out two towels from his coat - actually from his space - and stuffed them into their mouths, then handcuffed their hands behind their backs. As a sheriff, it was perfectly reasonable to carry two pairs of handcuffs, right?

Edith had just screamed and rushed to Madeline's side at this moment, finding the villain had already fallen. Her cousin Madeline stood in a daze while Richard stopped struggling and stood close to Madeline to prevent her from falling.

The dramatic change left her stunned, her mouth emitting unconscious continuous screams.

Then she noticed a tall young man as handsome as an ancient Greek war god statue walking toward her.

Henry reminded quietly: "It's okay now, don't shout loudly anymore."

At this time Madeline finally regained some clarity. Seeing her devoted husband beside her, she immediately buried her head in his embrace, sobbing softly.

Henry nodded to Richard in acknowledgment and made a "shush" gesture to Edith, placing his right index finger vertically against his lips.

This indeed worked, causing Edith, whose mouth was still unconsciously screaming, to quickly cover her mouth with both hands, finally stopping the screams.

Henry quickly walked to the bandit with a dagger in his throat, gripped the dagger and made a circular cut to finish him off quickly, then repeated the same circular cutting motion on each of the others.

At this time, sounds came from over ten meters below the cave.

"Russell, hurry up, we all want our turn too."

Henry followed the sound and walked down, discovering eighteen bandits guarding over a hundred horses in a circular basin about thirty meters in diameter carved into the mountain.

They were about twenty meters away from him.

To prevent them from raising an alarm, Henry activated his Super Reaction talent this time, waving both hands continuously in a blur, like a goddess scattering flowers.

With his storage space's instant access function combined with Super Reaction talent and speed talent, Henry didn't even know how fast he could be.

Anyway, after one second when the Super Reaction talent stopped, all eighteen bandits had throwing knives in their necks, with two of them having two knives each.

Henry felt like he had become a throwing knife machine, his forearms transforming into high-speed launchers. Small-amplitude high-speed movements combined with powerful wrist strength made throwing knives fly out densely like a torrential downpour.

Continue!

Only after ensuring each still-standing person had another throwing knife pierced through their heart did Henry stop.

Seven white pearls and sixteen gray pearls appeared below the release progress bar, indicating these people had successfully gone where they needed to go.

Henry quickly walked over, collected all their weapons and wallets into his space, then threw the bodies to the edge of the basin in piles so people wouldn't discover them immediately.

Henry acting alone was the complete Henry - Henry cooperating with others had at least sixty percent of his strength sealed.

Henry returned to the cave and used his dagger to cut the rope binding Richard's hands.

As soon as Richard's hands were free, he immediately turned to hold Madeline tightly in his arms.

Henry said quietly: "I'm Sheriff Henry from Fresco Town. Who are you people?"

Richard and Edith looked at Henry with great excitement - it really was him!

The miracle they had hoped for really happened!

Thank the Lord!

Thank almighty God!

Having seen quite a few scenes, Richard was the first to calm down somewhat and said: "I know you, Sheriff Henry, thank you for saving us! These bandits were here ambushing you. I'm Richard from the Pittsburgh Mellon family. Thank you very much."

Henry said: "You're safe now. Go sit on those rocks over there first. I need to interrogate these two bandits."

"Alright." Richard walked toward the inner rocks holding his somewhat calmed wife in his arms. Edith quickly followed, though her beautiful eyes kept staring intently at Henry.

The maid Ruth also quickly came to help support Madeline.

Henry first walked in front of Bick and stepped on the end section of his left pinky finger. The severe pain immediately woke him up.

Henry wasn't in a hurry and lifted his foot, letting him slowly regain consciousness.

After all, he probably had some concussion and needed to recover a bit to avoid giving wrong answers later.

After a few minutes, seeing Bick's eyes were relatively clear, Henry stepped on his left pinky wound again.

Bick was in such pain he wanted to howl but couldn't make a sound. Unable to release the pain made it feel even more agonizing.

Henry's cold voice seemed to come from beyond the heavens.

"Who are you people? How many came to ambush me this time?"

"Impressive, not even making a sound. You're tough, I admire you."

After speaking, Henry continued applying pressure, this time stepping on the first two sections of the ring finger as well.

"Still not making a sound? Admirable." Henry seemed about to apply even more force.

Bick was both anxious and in pain, desperately shaking his head and making muffled sounds.

Henry acted as if suddenly understanding and said: "Oh, I forgot to take the towel out of your mouth. Do you want to confess? If yes, nod. If not, I'll send you to hell - there's another one alive over there anyway."

After speaking, Henry drew his double-action revolver and pointed it at Bick's head.

Bick immediately nodded desperately - this guy was a devil! He was only eighteen and didn't want to die yet!

He had been living rough since very young and could clearly see that if he said no, Henry would really shoot.

Henry had specifically kept the two youngest because they were easier to break through.

They weren't soldiers with strong faith defending their homeland, just guys trying to make a living. How much unyielding spirit could they have?
