Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: I'll Cover For You For The Rest Of My Life!

Buzz!

The Excalibur suddenly burst out with dazzling, brilliant light.

The people still chatting, joking, and eating snacks only felt a flash before their eyes, and then the light drew itself back into the Excalibur again.

At the same time, Blade and six other Stellaron Hunters who didn't dodge in time were all split into halves.

"Take cover!" Someone shouted loudly, and without thinking everyone quickly retreated out of the hall.

They crowded by the door, dumbly staring at the corpse of a big man in black armor that had been sliced in half.

That man's name was Taro, one of the figures in the Stellaron Hunter organization with the strongest physical defense.

Ordinary battleship shells hitting him were no different than scratching an itch. Even if the Black Star heavy cannons bombarded his head in succession, at most it would just raise a bump.

Such an indestructible legendary figure, and wearing full heavy armor on top of that, had actually been cut clean in two as if slicing tofu.

"Godslayer Spear!" Seeing the timing was right, Emiya didn't hesitate to summon the Godslayer Spear, pouring nearly all of his remaining mana into it, and threw it with all his strength toward Vera.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Godslayer Spear, carrying unstoppable power, let out a string of sonic booms in the air, and in an instant reached ten meters in front of the glass tank.

A strange thing happened. The Godslayer Spear seemed to crash into a hard transparent barrier. Every inch forward was extremely difficult, and in the end it could only drop powerlessly to the ground one meter before the glass tank.

"Phew!" Silver Wolf patted her little chest and let out a long breath of relief.

Luckily she had beforehand ordered the Stellaron Hunters' assistants to layer shield after shield around the outside of the glass tank.

Otherwise, even if the tank was made from the hardest material in the whole universe, it probably would have been in danger.

"Form up!" Meiya raised her staff and shouted loudly.

The Stellaron Hunters, hearing the words, immediately moved. The heavy-armored warriors raised shields and stood in front of the group.

The supports hurried to stack buffs on everyone, then quickly hid behind the specially made protective gates.

"Archers, find your own sniping points! Fatty, Gorilla, Chunli, Gutter Oil, Wage Slave, Cockroach, you six hunters go block the escape routes! The rest of you, stay sharp and be ready to dodge attacks!"

Once the basic encirclement was formed, Meiya turned to Silver Wolf. "This extra mission was started with your money."

"Did you fail to investigate that man's background, or did you deliberately use our lives to collect data? You'll have to give everyone an explanation afterward."

"Don't worry, I'll take full responsibility!" Silver Wolf's face was full of guilt, but her eyes burned ever hotter with fanaticism.

"But all this is worth it. I've already preliminarily determined that the energy he carries doesn't belong to this universe. We may very well be creating history!"

"So what do you want to do? Keep him alive to take back for research?"

Meiya was tempted. They had already lost so many people now. Even if they killed Emiya, it couldn't make up the losses.

And she had never seen Silver Wolf so fanatical, which showed Silver Wolf had really discovered something extraordinary.

"I'll pay five times more, no, ten times more. You only need to fight him for another ten minutes!" Silver Wolf teleported in another batch of robots to the battlefield, sealing off all surroundings so tight not even water could leak through.

"Just make sure he doesn't die. Everything else doesn't matter."

"No, we can't wait. Kill him quickly!" Suddenly, Elio's voice rang out in everyone's minds.

"Cough cough… I saw the Devil's Eye… planets shattering, comrades' corpses piling up into mountains… cough cough cough…"

Everyone looked at each other. From each other's eyes, they saw unprecedented fear. Elio's prophecies were absolutely accurate. It was precisely because of his prophecies that they had gathered together.

"Ahhhh!" Suddenly, a roar filled with madness echoed through the entire hall. At once, thunder and lightning roared endlessly. Blade's shattered body and shattered sword actually restored completely.

"Damn it, why am I still not dead!" Explosive energy swept out in all directions from Blade's body. Even the specially reinforced hall couldn't withstand the impact, and in an instant was blasted into ruins.

Bang!

Emiya had lost all mana, falling into a severe kidney-deficiency state.

He was blown high into the air by the shockwave and fainted, then crashed hard to the ground and was jolted awake by pain, mouth spewing so much blood it smeared his whole head and face.

"It's you!" Blade's gaze locked onto Emiya, instantly filling his eyes with blood-red. Bloody tears flowed down and dripped onto the ground. "Why didn't you kill me? Why!"

With a furious roar, Blade leapt above Emiya, both hands gripping the ancient sword, hacking down at Emiya's chest with all his strength. He too wanted to split Emiya in half, let him taste it.

Clang!

At the critical moment, Emiya barely lifted the Excalibur to his chest. At the cost of every rib shattering and severe damage to all major organs, he finally avoided the outcome of being dismembered.

"Ugh! Damn thing, who the hell knew you were this hard to kill!" Blood mixed with bits of organs spilled from his mouth as he spoke. Emiya was now breathing out more than he was breathing in.

"Shut up!"

Blade shouted angrily, thrust his sword into Emiya's heart, twisted the blade, grinding his heart into pieces while energy invaded his organs and continued destroying. Then he kicked Emiya high into the air, intending to finish what he hadn't earlier.

"Stop!" Kafka's sharp voice suddenly rang out. The nearly berserk Blade actually stopped his movements.

'As expected, word-spirit only doesn't work on you.'

Her eyes complicated, Kafka glanced once at Emiya's ruined body and those clear eyes that had completely lost their light. She felt something in her heart shatter. But her gaze returned to its usual icy indifference.

"Silver Wolf, as agreed, all my work for the next six years is yours." After saying this, Kafka turned and quickly walked out of the hall without looking back.

"Don't worry, don't worry! You rest well. Not just six years, even if you want to rest sixteen, I'll cover for you!"

Silver Wolf was overjoyed, not noticing Kafka's strange expression at all. Her mind was filled only with hurrying to pack Emiya up and dissect him for research.

"That Blade was way too rough!" Silver Wolf looked heartbroken at the heart fragments scattered all over. That was one of the most important research materials.

"Ah well, just gather them up, take everything back first."

Silver Wolf ordered the other robots to collect the scattered blood and flesh fragments. She herself used her ability to teleport over a glass tank ten meters wide.

This thing was the same model as the one holding Vera. Not only did it have powerful defenses, it could also block all energy and consciousness from leaking out or invading.

No matter how great the strange energy inside Emiya's body, he should not be able to escape.

"To buy this thing nearly cleaned me out. Don't let me down!" Silver Wolf rubbed her hands together, happily getting ready to carry him away.

"Hey!"

"Damn it!" In a daze, Silver Wolf seemed to see Emiya, whom she had already confirmed as dead, curl his lips into the faintest, barely audible smile.

This eerie scene made Silver Wolf's whole body hair stand on end. Her teeth chattered as she staggered backward in panic, completely forgetting that she was actually in Punklorde's home, and only controlling robots on-site.

[T/N: I am really sorry guys but it might be harem. I didn't expect it to be harem, but I guess, I expected too much. I am really sorry.]
