Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Everyone Looks Like a Marked-Head for Sale

"Everyone quickly form ranks, prepare for battle, that man doesn't seem to be dead yet!"

Silver Wolf didn't dare to be careless, afraid that the situation where Emiya suddenly burst out killing people earlier would happen again. She couldn't afford any more personnel losses.

However, at Silver Wolf's words, everyone only sneered. 'That Emiya was clearly just a mere mortal of flesh and blood. He had only killed three Stellaron Hunters because of relying on a powerful weapon for a sneak attack.'

Emiya now had most of his bones shattered, his organs damaged badly by Blade's violent power, and even his heart was twisted into fragments. Even a fool could see that he was already dead to the bone.

"Silver Wolf little sister, even nonsense should have its limits." Meiya covered her mouth, yawned, then swayed her way over to Emiya's side, kicked his head a few times to confirm there wasn't a trace of life in him, then picked up the Excalibur and tossed it to Silver Wolf's feet.

"Alright, even if that pile of rotten flesh came back as a corpse, he couldn't beat you all. I'm leaving first."

With Meiya taking the lead to leave, the other Hunters also cast a silent glance at Silver Wolf, then got up carrying their comrades' corpses and headed out.

What should have been an easy and pleasant errand had been made into six brothers dying miserably because of Silver Wolf.

And now, at this point, this little girl was still spouting nonsense. Did she really think they were fools to toy around with?

If not for Silver Wolf's ability being such a troublesome one, they would definitely have cursed her out, maybe even tracked her to her hideout and dragged her out for a good beating to vent their anger.

"Don't go, it's true, I really just saw him grin!" Silver Wolf was almost crying in panic.

"Grin my foot. I'll chop his head off right now and kick it around like a ball!" The bald hunter Hano lifted his golden-backed broadsword, striding toward Emiya with his head held high.

"I'm still in a hurry to get home and marry my wife, don't have time to bullshit around here with you!"

"Wait. He's my prey." Blade's face was gloomy as he walked toward Emiya step by step.

Hano seemed to dread Blade very much, and the moment he spoke, Hano didn't say another word and simply stepped aside.

"It's too late, hurry and leave, quickly take the Stellaron from the ship and leave that star system!" Elio's voice rang out hoarse and torn, he was shouting so hard his throat broke, black blood endlessly flowing from his seven orifices.

Just so these good-for-nothing subordinates could survive, he had nearly burned through half his life in divination, yet didn't expect them to still push the matter to the worst possible outcome.

'Tch, Boss Elio always muttering and rambling… has he finally turned into a lunatic?'

Hano helplessly rolled his eyes, quietly making up his mind inside: after finishing this job, he'd honestly just stay home with his wife and waste away, following this kind of boss was a sure death sentence.

"You all heard too, boss told us to retreat quickly." Hano stretched out his hand, rubbing thumb and index finger together toward Silver Wolf.

"Silver Wolf, settle the payment, and the others' money too, give it all to me, I'll pass it on to them later."

"At a time like this you're still thinking about money!" Silver Wolf stomped her foot angrily.

'For Elio to lose control like that meant the situation had really gotten so bad it couldn't be fixed.'

"I'll teleport you all out of the star system first, then we can settle the accounts!"

"No. I have to split him apart to be at ease!" Blade's brows were tightly furrowed.

His instinct told him this man was even more dangerous than the girl in the jar. He had to be eliminated early.

"Everyone move back!" Blade shouted loudly, activating his ability to burn his own blood. At the same time, his aura soared higher and higher.

The already-ruined hall couldn't withstand this burst of energy. Winds roared everywhere, the ground cracked open with fissures, and even the massive battleship began to shake violently.

Finally, Blade's life force was cut down to the limit, while his battle strength peaked. He immediately raised the ancient sword high overhead with both hands, bringing with it thunderous might as he slashed toward Emiya.

"Turn to ashes for me!"

BOOM!

Blade's shout was cut off halfway by a deafening explosion. Outside the hall, Silver Wolf and Hano peeked in curiously, and the sight before their eyes they would never forget.

Blade, who had just been clamoring about chopping Emiya to pieces, was nowhere to be seen. In the hall, it looked as though a comet had streaked through, leaving behind a massive bottomless crack in the ground.

It went all the way forward, completely piercing through the battleship. Blinding sunlight shone straight in from the outside, falling upon Emiya's intact body lying on the floor.

"Ah hahahaha, hahaha!"

Having been suppressed for so long, Emiya finally got what he wished. He couldn't help but laugh out loud, laughing so wildly, so recklessly.

Even though it tugged at his broken, battered body and brought waves of pain, he still wanted to laugh, to laugh at the top of his lungs.

"See, see, I told you he smiled, and you all didn't believe me!" Silver Wolf was crying from anger.

"I'll laugh at your damn third uncle's leg!"

Hano first jumped in fright, then when he realized, his face flushed with shame and rage.

He, after all, was someone who had roamed across multiple star systems, and yet he had been scared by a resurrected piece of rotten flesh.

'Unbearable! Absolutely unbearable!' Today, he had to hack that rotten meat to pieces and drink with it.

But just as Hano lifted a foot, the Godslaying Spear attacked with unmatched might. He could only immediately steady his footing, gripping his blade with both hands to block and deflect, dispersing most of the force and diverting the spear's trajectory.

Yet the power of the Godslaying Spear was too fierce. Even with Hano's perfect defense, most of the bones in his hands inevitably shattered, leaving him with no combat strength.

BOOM!

The Godslaying Spear didn't give Hano a chance to breathe. After smashing through layers of thick walls, it instantly turned its spearhead back and struck again at Hano.

"Not good!" Silver Wolf didn't dare to delay. She immediately used Aether Editing to try to teleport Hano away. But the always-reliable Aether Editing failed at this crucial moment.

Luckily, the other Stellaron Hunters rushed in time.

Meiya unleashed a shield with all her strength to protect Hano for an instant, the heavy-armored Hunter immediately raised his shield to stand in front of him, the support began healing, and the others threw themselves into fighting with the Godslaying Spear.

Outside the fierce battlefield, a middle-aged uncle in a neat suit, looking every bit the workplace elite, was quietly slacking off.

His gaze was completely locked onto the Excalibur lying in the dirt. As a follower of the Path of Destruction, he had always dreamed of possessing a divine weapon.

Earlier, seeing Emiya kill three Hunters in a flash, he had desperately wanted to pocket that Excalibur. But since he had just joined the Stellaron Hunters, his words carried little weight, and he hadn't contributed in this mission anyway, so he really couldn't open his mouth.

"Silver Wolf, I don't have a handy weapon. How about this, this mission I don't want any money, just give me this weapon!" As soon as he finished speaking, the suited Hunter didn't even wait for Silver Wolf's reply before snatching the Excalibur straight into his hands.

Hiss, this smooth and warm touch, this perfectly balanced weight, this exquisite ancient patterning.

Wiping away the unconscious drool at his mouth corner, the suited Hunter swung the Excalibur casually at the wall.

That composite metal plate that looked at least ten centimeters thick was cut by the Excalibur's edge as though it was less than tofu.

'Hahaha, I'm invincible!'

Confidence swelling to the extreme, the suited Hunter completely cast off his usual timidity. Face full of arrogance, he drove everyone else back with his shouts, then alone charged with the sword at the Godslaying Spear.

"Out of my way, all of you! Struggling this much against just a weapon, I can only say every single one of you here is garbage!"
