Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Demon Spell

"What? You want me to take a ship to Udon? I refuse!" Luo Xia rejected outright without a second thought.

Taking a ship was absolutely out of the question—not now, not ever.

King the Conflagration: "..."

Left with no choice, he dialed Kaido's Den Den Mushi.

"Kid, just go when you're told to! Stop with the nonsense! This is a captain's order!" Kaido bellowed with authority.

Luo Xia: "..."

After a long silence.

"Fine!"

Luo Xia reluctantly agreed.

Since Kaido, as the captain, had invoked a captain's order, it wouldn't be right to refuse outright. After all, a captain's order was the highest command in a pirate crew—no joking matter.

Kaido: "..."

Since when did this brat become so obedient?

"However, I have one condition!" Luo Xia added.

I knew he'd pull something, Kaido thought.

"What condition?" Kaido asked gruffly. As long as it wasn't too unreasonable, he could accommodate it.

"I want to bring a few people with me."

"Go on, who do you want to bring?"

"First, Page One. You know he calls me 'big bro,' so I need to keep training him."

"That's it? Granted!" Kaido agreed without hesitation.

"Next is Ulti. You know how close those siblings are. If I take Page One, Ulti won't be happy," Luo Xia continued.

"Minor issue! Approved!" Kaido said.

"Lastly, Yamato."

"Fine—"

"As expected of Captain Kaido! Since you're so agreeable, I won't drag my feet either. I'll take up the post today!"

"Wait—"

Click.

Without giving Kaido a chance to speak, Luo Xia immediately hung up the Den Den Mushi.

Left Brain Tower, Pleasure District.

The dinosaur siblings were, as usual, enjoying their playful antics.

"Big bro~ Save me~"

Seeing Luo Xia approach, Page One's eyes lit up as if spotting a savior.

"Xia Xia, you're here~" Ulti's eyes similarly sparkled, instantly switching from a violent little dragon to a demure lady mode.

This was something Black Maria had taught her—men loved delicate, cute girls who could trigger their protective instincts.

Luo Xia: "..."

At some point, the headstrong girl who used to clash with him the most had started acting strangely.

Whatever!

Luo Xia shook his head and didn't dwell on it.

"Page One, Kaido just ordered me to take over the mining field in Udon. I told him I'd bring you along. You in?" Luo Xia asked.

"Udon? Isn't that that bastard Queen's turf?" Page One scratched his head.

"Not anymore—it's mine now!" Luo Xia grinned.

"I'm in!" Page One immediately raised his hand.

If he went to Udon, he could finally escape his sister's clutches. Hahaha!

"Hold on, Xia Xia, Pei pei, how could you bear to abandon such a delicate, helpless little girl? Sniffle~" Ulti 'teared up.'

"Of course I can bear it! What about it?" Page One nodded reflexively—he could bear it all too well.

"Pei pei, you little brat, you're asking for a beating!" Ulti reverted to her true self, immediately wrestling with Page One again.

"Alright, alright, Ulti, you can come too if you want. I already cleared it with Kaido," Luo Xia said.

"Really~?" Ulti's eyes sparkled as she leaped up, koala-hugging Luo Xia. "Xia Xia, you're the best! I knew you wouldn't leave a poor little girl all alone~"

Ulti kept referring to herself as "a delicate lady," yet the strength in her hands could strangle an ox.

"Page One, Ulti, I'll leave the preparations for departure to you."

Ten minutes later.

Luo Xia arrived at the mountain hideout.

Hah~ Ha~

Yamato was vigorously swinging her spiked club, engaged in her daily training.

"Oh, Luo Xia, you're here! No time to waste, let's get started!" Yamato said enthusiastically.

Tap!

Luo Xia flicked Yamato's forehead with his finger, leaving a red mark.

"No training today. Pack up and come with me."

"Go? Where to?" Yamato was stunned.

"To Udon!"

"Udon? Huh? Wait—" Yamato gasped in realization, "I-I... I can't leave Oni Island." Her voice dropped dejectedly.

"Just come when I tell you to. Stop with the nonsense—your father already agreed," Luo Xia said.

"Really~?" Yamato rubbed her hands excitedly. "Luo Xia, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Yamato was already waving from dozens of meters away, clearly unable to wait any longer.

Another ten minutes later, Luo Xia brought Yamato to the harbor.

Ulti, who had been grinning earlier, immediately stopped smiling when she saw Yamato.

"Xia-Xia, why did you bring that idiot Yamato?" Ulti huffed angrily.

"I'm coming with you too... Dad the Ox-King agreed!" Yamato cheered, bouncing onto the ship.

Unlike her previous unauthorized escape, this time she had permission—a legitimate voyage.

Though she still couldn't leave Wano Country, this was a significant step forward.

A small step today, a giant leap tomorrow.

"Idiot Yamato, that's the VIP seat I prepared for Xia-Xia! Don't just take it!"

"What's the big deal? We're all friends here!"

"Who's friends with you?!"

Enemies—or rather, romantic rivals—clashed with fiery intensity.

Yamato and Ulti were at each other's throats within minutes.

Page One crouched at the bow, grinning foolishly.

He had thought he was doomed to suffer under his sister's tyranny, but unexpectedly, Luo Xia had brought Yamato to divert her attention. This was... perfect.

"By the way, big bro... what are you waiting for? We're setting off!" Page One called to Luo Xia, who was still on the shore.

"Oh! Coming!" Luo Xia took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself, then leaped onto the ship.

Perfect!

Luo Xia immediately sat cross-legged at the bow.

The Dragon Slayer Wizard's weakness—motion sickness—was still in effect in this world.

Now, his anxious heart could finally rest in peace.

Thud!

Yamato sent Ulti flying with a swing of her club, crashing right onto Luo Xia, who was meditating with his eyes closed.

"You're done for. You've pissed off big bro—he's super petty," Page One gloated, eagerly waiting for Luo Xia to rise up and teach both girls a lesson. Yamato and Ulti tensed up, but after a long wait, Luo Xia remained motionless.

"Big bro, what's wrong?" Page One exclaimed. This wasn't the brother he knew.

"The world is so beautiful, yet I'm so irritable... That's no good~ No good~" Luo Xia murmured, his expression perfectly composed.

Page One: "..."

Before he could say anything else, Ulti yanked him over to join the chaos.

Amidst the bickering and fighting, about half an hour later, the warship docked at Udon Port.

Luo Xia leaped off the ship and instantly dashed hundreds of meters away—not because he wanted to distance himself from the vehicle, but because he had spotted yet another gleaming object: a silver treasure chest.

The first chest on Sirius Island had granted him Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, laying a solid foundation.

The second chest on Oni Island had bestowed upon him Armor Dragon Slayer Magic, forging an indestructible body.

What Dragon Slayer Magic would this third treasure chest contain? Luo Xia was brimming with curiosity!

Ding~

The silver chest opened successfully.

[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained the Demon Spell—Command.]
