Chapter 26 - CHAPTER - 26 TROUBLE

Liora was lying on the ground, injured, her clothes torn into rags, and her body trembling from exhaustion and pain. Meanwhile, Lily, full of anger, stood spreading flames all around, as if the whole forest was witnessing her power.

Seeing this scene, Snehwal staggered and stood up. He slowly stepped forward and said,

"Stop… Lily!"

But Lily could not control her anger. Flames of red fire shone in her eyes, and she slowly stepped toward Liora, as if with each step her power and rage were growing stronger.

Snehwal ran quickly towards Lily and, holding her back, said, "Don't do this… don't kill her!"

Lily stamped her foot on the ground in anger, and flames spread all around. The intense heat and energy made Snehwal uncomfortable, and his body shivered.

Then Lily's eyes turned toward Snehwal, reflecting regret and a hint of apology. Slowly, she whispered, "I'm sorry…"

Snehwal quickly grabbed her hand and, in a firm voice, said, "No. She saved me. If she hadn't come in time, I… I would have been killed."

Liora lay on the ground, coughing. Her body seemed to have been burned by the fire.

Hearing this, Lily's anger seemed to cool. She immediately stopped, and a mix of shame and relief appeared on her face.

Seeing this, Snehwal's eyes fixed on Liora—she was lying on the ground, injured and groaning. Every breath she took showed her pain. Snehwal quickly moved towards her. Liora tried to get up, but her weak body could not manage. In a worried voice, Snehwal asked softly, "Should I help you get up?"

Liora, in a tired and pained voice, pointed towards Lily and groaned, "Ask her first."

Lily, full of anger and power, exhaled sharply and clenching both her hands, said, "Lift her up."

Snehwal grabbed Liora's hand to help her sit, but at that moment, Liora felt dizzy and fell unconscious again. Snehwal, filled with worry and fear, said, "Listen… what's happening?"

But before he could do anything, Liora had already fainted.

Seeing this, Lily said angrily, "She's acting… her sister acts completely, and so does she."

At that moment, Snehwal didn't understand anything; his mind was trapped in confusion and worry.

Snehwal scratched his head and looked at Lily with a little mischief and cleverness in his eyes, and said, "The world can be deceived, but true happiness comes only from the truth of the heart."

Lily, with stubbornness and anger, said, "Fine, let's see then. What are you going to do now?"

Snehwal said in a serious tone, "We should not leave her here. We have to take her with us and get her treated."

Lily, full of anger and frustration, said, "I won't do anything. You do whatever needs to be done. And yes, don't have any relationship—she is cunning too."

Snehwal nodded slightly and said, "Hmm."

Then he lifted Liora into his arms and started walking slowly. Lily also followed behind, a little angry.

Under the blazing sun, drenched in sweat, Snehwal carried the unconscious Liora in his arms, walking slowly yet firmly toward the city of Inferna. His face clearly showed exhaustion, but his eyes still glimmered with worry and a sense of responsibility.

As he reached the city gates, all eyes turned toward him. Whispers spread around—

"Who is that…?"

"Who's he carrying in his arms?"

"What happened to her?"

People murmured among themselves—some curious, some shocked—but Snehwal didn't pay attention to anyone. He walked straight toward the palace, where cool shade and silence awaited him.

Upon reaching the palace, he gently laid Liora down on the bed in a quiet room. His face showed deep concern as he carefully checked her pulse.

Meanwhile, Lily stood silently in one corner of the room—her face clearly showing irritation. Her arms were tightly crossed over her chest, and her eyes burned with a mix of jealousy and restlessness. She wanted to say something… but held herself back.

Snehwal leaned toward Liora, his face filled with deep concern. Her breathing was weakening, and cold sweat glistened on her forehead. He immediately turned to Lily and said in a firm, anxious voice,

"Lily… save her. She's badly injured."

Lily frowned, irritation and anger clearly written on her face.

"You always bring trouble with you, Snehwal," she said sharply.

Snehwal met her gaze steadily and replied in a calm but resolute tone,

"It was my duty, Lily. She saved my life."

Lily turned her face away without saying a word. Her expression made it clear—she didn't want to help. Snehwal slowly stepped closer to her, his eyes carrying both frustration and pleading, but Lily's gaze remained firm, full of refusal.

Meanwhile, Liora's condition was worsening on the bed—her breath was faltering, her face growing pale. The air in the room felt heavy with unease, as if every second time itself was slipping away.
