Harmonica marched towards the doctor's office with visible anger.
She was so consumed by rage, she didn't even realized when her legs knotted some ball of wool, making her trip.
A shrill cry escaped her lips as she fell forward, crashing into a rock hard surface.
''Not again..'' Simon murmured, staring down at Harmonica whose palms where now pressed against his chest.
Regaining her composure, she yanked her hands off his chest, her cheeks stained crimson as she stared at him.
''What are you doing here?''
''I'm a doctor. Remember?'' He said with a raised brow, his index finger pointing towards the name tag on his shirt.
''Oh Yh…'' Harmonica nodded, straightening her dress.
''And what are you doing here anyways? Sick?'' Simon asked, waving his stethoscope in her face.
''Oh no. Just came for a check up.'' She answered, trying to walk past him when he held her hand, stopping her.
''I was thinking…maybe we could have dinner together?'' Simon started, scratching the back of his head nervously.
''I mean..we've been seeing eachother quite a lot lately. Maybe fate just wants us to be together.'' He continued, earning him a scowl from Harmonica.
Slowly, she pried her hands off his and backed away. ''And what about me screamed single?'' She asked, eyeing him.
''Not sure….But you wouldn't have danced with me if you had a partner.'' He teased, a sly smirk gracing his lips
Harmonica scoffed.
''Well I'll be too busy tonight to have dinner with you.''
Simon nodded. ''And tomorrow?''
''I'll be busy.''
''And the day after that?''
Anna paused for a while like she was thinking about it. ''Busy!'' She replied, making the hope in Simon's eyes fade.
''Fine! Just give me your number then.'' He said, reaching for the phone in his pants pocket.
He inputted his pin and stretched it towards her.
Anna sighed, knowing she had been cornered. She inputted her number in his phone before stretching it back to him.
''I'm sure you just missed a major surgery by being here with me.'' Anna clicked her tongue, crossing her arms against each other as she stared at him.
''Someone's getting fired…'' she whispered, just enough for him to hear it while her eyes pointed to the CCTV footage
''Not if I'm the boss.'' He whispered back, making Harmonica eyes wide as saucers.
He owned the place?!
''Hell—
Before she could retort, she watched him walk away. Not before winking at her.
Averting her gaze from his fading figure, she stared back at the CCTV camera as something clicked in her brain.
She looked around to see some nurses behind a desk, whispering as a stared in her direction.
Shrugging, she walked up to them.
''Excuse me..How do I get to the control room?'' She asked.
No response.
''I'm asking how to get to the control room.'' Harmonica said louder, hoping they didn't have some kind of hearing problem.
They didn't seem to have hearing aids on them.
One of the nurses scoffed. ''We don't allow just anyone into the control room. So I'll suggest you get that thought off your head.'' She replied, waving her hands dismissively before going about her business.
Even the other nurse beside her chuckled.
''I guess I'll just call your boss and let him know you won't be at the next shift. And the shift after that. And the shift after that….'' A magnetic voice bloomed, making Harmonica and the nurses whip their heads in his direction.
''Romano! What are you doing here?'' Harmonica asked, staring at him confusedly.
''Zade's nanny informed me about Lucas…I got worried so I came over.'' He said, his voice soft as he reached for her hand.
Anna took it, smiling.
''Now where is the control room.'' He asked again, his expression now morphed into something dangerous. As if he wasn't just soft a minute ago.
The nurses stared at each other in question.
They didn't know who this man was but his aura commanded some kind of respect.
And from what he had said, it seemed like he had some kind of connection with their employer.
They quickly handed him a pass card, careful not to offend an elite. ''The control room is on the 10th floor. To your left, there is a blue door with 'control room' written in it. Just give the guys there this pass and you can get in.'' The nurse said hurriedly, shivering as his icy glare pierced her.
Romano smiled. The type of smile that sent chills down the spine of onlookers.
''Thank you.'' He mused, before leading Harmonica to the elevator.
They pressed on the button, waiting for the door to ding open before stepping in.
''Stop hiding things from me.'' Romano scolded, immediately they stepped into the elevator. They had already unclasped hands and where now waiting for the elevator to hit the 10th floor.
''I can take care of myself. Plus.. I didn't know Lucas was here either.'' She answered.
''What does that have to do with you anyways?'' She asked again, now staring at him.
''Just looking out for you.'' Romano murmured under his breathe, the words not reaching Harmonica's ears.
Just in time, the elevator dinged open and he walked out with Harmonica walking after him.
They turned left just as instructed and walked to the end of the corridor. The door with 'Control room' written on it stood there, guarded by burly men in black attires, black sunglasses and ear piece around their ears.
''Can I help you?'' One of them asked.
''Yes..'' Romano answered, stretching out the pass card to him.
The guy inspected it thoroughly and for a moment, Harmonica didn't think they were going to let them in.
But then the guy nodded, handing the pass back to Romano before stepping aside while the other guy pulled the door open.
With a relived sigh, Harmonica followed behind Romano into the control room.
There, they could see the wide screens filled with every nook and cranny of the hospital, LIVE.
Romano headed to the guys to collect the footage they had came for while Harmonica just stood to the side, watching.
''Let's go!'' Romano mused after taking the footage while Harmonica nodded and followed behind him.
Meanwhile.. 5 floors below them, Rita sat on the hospital bed sulking.
She had actually thought of just going home.
Infact, she had gone home.
But after getting home, she felt lonely.
Even after Lucas came back, he didn't pay attention to her like he did in the hospital.
She had thought his attitude towards her had changed after she convinced him that she wasn't the one that sent that footage.
So she had brought up the issue about their living arrangements.
Told him she wanted to move into his room.
But he had disagreed with her, telling her they could stay together after they got married.
But Rita was not dumb. She was smart enough to know that would never happen!
She was only a placeholder in Lucas's life and she realized that the moment Lucas made mention of his ex-wife again.
Angered by the situation, she had clenched her palms so hard, the stitches came off.
So she made him take her back to the hospital, where he would actually pay attention to her again.
Erasing the scowl off her face, she picked up her phone and dialed a number, a sly smirk on her lips.
