Chapter 75
Lily's POV
From the tiny barred window in the dungeon, I could count the days by the way sunlight trickled in. Two mornings had passed since I was thrown in here. Two silent and hungry sunrises. Two days and I haven't seen or heard from anyone outside. And I haven't seen Joe in two days, which means he really forgot about me.
It hurts, but I have made my peace with it. I'm going to try and move on, but, today is the day I am supposed to be leaving high school and that means today is the graduation ceremony. The day I'd been dreaming about for years.
But now, I was just dreaming about food. I haven't had anything solid or liquid since then, right now, the mucus on the floor looks attractive
The door creaked open, and I flinched.
Two guards stood there, stone-faced. "You! Get out," one of them barked.
I staggered to my feet, too weak to even question what was going on. They didn't cuff me, just dragged me through the corridor until we reached a small, cold room.
