Chapter 2 - Wish

In the cafeteria, students formed a circle, watching as Jule was being bullied by Tony and his classmates. They enjoyed the show, and this was not the first time it had happened. Jule was always bullied by Tony, but he never tried to fight back or defend himself, because he knew no matter how much he resisted, it would only get worse.

This time, Tian joined in, bullying Jule even more while laughing. Jule, being an intelligent man, understood why this kept happening. The students were all afraid of Tian, so he focused his bullying mostly on Jule. Because of this, Jule became the main target, and Tian had no time to bully other students.

The crowd surrounded Tony and Jule, eager to watch the scene unfold.

"Jule is going to get beaten by Tony again. This is going to be interesting," one student whispered to his friends.

"Let's see how long he can endure Tony's punches before he loses consciousness," another said with a smirk.

All the students were talking loudly, and even though their words cut into Jule's heart, he ignored them, staying silent. He didn't even pay attention to Tony, who was walking toward him with an evil smile.

Tony was tall and muscular, standing at six feet, while Jule was of average height and build, though his face was far more handsome than Tony's.

Tony reached Jule, grabbed him by the collar with one hand, and lifted him up easily.

"Jule, where is Stella? I don't see her anywhere in the cafeteria," Tony demanded, his voice filled with anger.

"I don't know," Jule replied calmly, not bothering to explain anything to dead-brain Tony. He knew that whether he explained or not, Tony wouldn't let him go without a beating. Tony had a huge crush on Stella.

"Why should I answer your questions? She's not my girlfriend," Jule thought to himself bitterly. "She just sits with me because she struggles with her written exams and I help her study. That's all. But trying to explain this to a brainless idiot like Tony or Tian is pointless."

Tony's face twisted with rage at Jule's calm response.

"You don't know? Then who does? You're always with her, commoner!" Tony shouted angrily, and with a roar, he threw Jule to the ground.

Jule didn't move. This was not the first time he had been beaten like this.

"Why don't you fight back?! Tomorrow, when I awaken my abilities, you're dead, Jule! With my own hands, I'll crush you, you lowly human!" Tony screamed, his rage boiling over.

Then, Tony beat Jule continuously for an entire hour, punching and kicking him until Jule finally lost consciousness.

---

As Jule faded in and out of awareness, his thoughts grew dark and bitter.

"Why does he always bully me? I never said or did anything to harm him. In this world, power rules everything. If I want to live peacefully with my family, I need power. These classmates of mine… they're like wolves, enjoying the sight of my suffering. Tomorrow, during my awakening, I'll finally gain strength. After that, I'll never have to see their faces again. I don't care about revenge — what's the point of fighting back? Once I'm recruited into a guild, I'll escape from this hellish college forever."

His vision blurred, and finally, Jule fainted, blood flowing from a cut on his forehead.

Tony and his friends looked down at his unconscious body, smirked, and walked away. The surrounding students also left, not offering any help — because this wasn't the first time.

---

Two hours later, Jule slowly woke up, his head pounding. Looking around, he saw that most of his classmates had already gone to attend their classes.

Like his daily routine, he had once again missed his second class.

Sighing, he got up, staggered to the washroom, and washed his face and body clean, hiding the worst of his injuries. Afterward, he went to wait outside the college for his younger sister.
