The news spread faster than wildfire. By morning, the entire city whispered of it: Ryuga, the Black Dragon King, had fallen.
No one could believe it. For years, Ryuga had been the monster parents used to scare their children, the nightmare whispered among rival gangs, the name that even cops hesitated to speak. His reign had been absolute, his power unquestioned.
And yet—two wolves had ripped him down from his throne.
In a dark bar on the east side, gang leaders from smaller crews sat in stunned silence as the story was retold again and again. Some swore it was impossible. Others, shaking in their boots, wondered if they were next.
"Ryuga wasn't just a king," one man muttered, his glass trembling in his hand. "He was the balance. If he's gone… the city will eat itself alive."
Another, grinning despite his fear, leaned forward. "Balance? No. This is opportunity. The Black Dragon throne is empty now. And if those wolves don't claim it…" He tapped his chest. "…someone else will."
Meanwhile, deep in a shadowy office, men in suits sat around a polished table. They weren't gangsters—they were far more dangerous. The underworld council, the hidden hands that had always profited from Ryuga's chaos.
"Two nobodies," one of them spat, slamming a fist on the table. "Two kids took down our most powerful weapon. Do you realize what this means? They've disrupted the order we built!"
An older man in a gray suit smirked coldly. "Or perhaps it means something else. If they can kill Ryuga… maybe they're worth watching. Or using."
But while the city stirred with rumors and power plays, Luv and Ayu had no time for politics.
They stumbled into a safehouse at the edge of the city, barely able to walk. Blood still crusted on their skin, their bodies screaming with every movement.
Luv collapsed onto the couch, his chest heaving. Ayu dragged herself to the sink, splashing water on her bruised face before whispering, "We… actually did it."
Luv's lips twitched into a small, humorless smile. "Yeah… we did." He closed his eyes, but the image of Ryuga's bloody grin haunted him.
Ayu leaned against the counter, clutching her side where blood still seeped through her shirt. "But he was right, Luv. Killing him… it won't end it. It'll just bring more. Worse."
Luv opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling. His voice was steady, cold. "Then let them come."
Outside, the city roared with change. The dragon had fallen, but the shadows he left behind were stirring.
The wolves had made their mark. And now, the true war was about to begin.
