Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

'This again?'

Gojo muttered in his heart.

Ever since coming to this world, many people he met would always ask the same question—

"Does that blindfold really not block your vision?"

"Can you see the outside clearly?"

Or, "Does it have some special effect? Is that why you always wear it?"

But only Gojo himself knew the truth.

This blindfold was actually… completely useless.

He just wore it because — It looked cool.

The reason is that simple.

As for whether it blocked his view?

Oh Please—did they think his Six Eyes were just decoration?

With them, he could observe everything around him from a full 360-degree angle, lock onto enemies no matter the distance, even see down to the level of atoms, and perform with limitless precision.

Unless someone destroyed his eyes completely, nothing could ever stop him from seeing anything.

"Oh—about whether I can see clearly with this blindfold, the answer is…"

Gojo deliberately dragged out his voice, even reaching up with his right hand to tug at the blindfold, as though he were about to take it off.

The class collectively leaned forward.

Curious—

And then—

"This is a man's secret, Chitanda-san. You can't just go poking around out of curiosity."

Gojo dropped his hand with a teasing smile.

Scald!

It shouldn't have been a surprise.

In just these short ten minutes, the class had already started to grasp their homeroom teacher's personality.

Their Teacher have a very nasty personality.

He clearly enjoyed teasing them, dangling answers just out of reach.

"Okay then…"

Although Chitanda Eru felt a little disappointed at not getting the truth, her curiosity about Gojo only grew stronger.

This Gojo-sensei… he's so mysterious!

"Then, let's have the next Poke—uh… I mean, the next classmate."

Gojo-sensei, you were definitely about to say Pokémon, weren't you? Absolutely!

"Mei Misaki. Please take care of me."

The girl with the pale face stand up to introduced herself coldly and sat down.

The atmosphere instantly shifted.

A chill spread through the room, and students around her instinctively pulled back a little.

"Mei Misaki…" Gojo tilted his head in slight doubt.

Through the Six Eyes, he could sense strange power flowing in her body, but it was very faint.

Her left eye, however—the one under the blindfold—was brimming with cursed energy.

(Note:- I am not 100% sure but it should be Mei Misaki from "Another".)

'A transplant, huh?'

Just half a second of observation told Gojo the answer.

Seems I'll need to find a chance to talk with my cute little student.

After all, ever since he came to this world, the birth of curses and strange creatures had only become more frequent.

Take Shizuka Hiratsuka, for example.

For twenty-seven years, she'd been fine, blessed with strong spiritual energy. But just half a year ago, filth drew near her and nearly devoured her to absorb that energy.

If Gojo hadn't happened to pass the intersection at that moment, Hiratsuka-sensei would've been done for.

"Hey, I remember we had a Kitagawa Marin in this class, right?"

Gojo glanced around, puzzled when he didn't spot the blonde gyaru he remembered.

Before the first day, he had already checked the student list while perched on Sobu High's rooftop, using his eyes.

He'd been a little disappointed that his class wasn't full of "main characters," but he still recognized a few familiar names from his past life's anime and manga knowledge.

One of them was, of course, KitagawaMarin—The cosplay-loving beauty.

Before he crossed worlds, the internet had been full of her.

And yet, now that he thought about it, wasn't it absurd?

A battle-hardened fanboy like him ending up in the same daily life as Kitagawa Marin?

"Kitagawa-san? Is Kitagawa here? If so, please raise your hand."

The room fell silent.

"Ahem. Seems Kitagawa is late. Really, how could she be late on the very first day?"

Gojo lowered his hand awkwardly, pretending to scold her in a serious tone afterwards.

"Um, Gojo-sensei…"

A soft female voice rose timidly.

Gojo turned toward the speaker, a plain-looking girl raising her hand.

"What is it, Tomatsu-san?"

"Well, about Kitagawa-san… she actually had a car accident today and was admitted to the hospital. She might need some time to recover before being discharged. I was her junior high classmate, and she asked me to pass this message to you."

"Oh, so that's how it is." Gojo nodded, his tone softening. "I'll call personally to check in on her condition later. Thank you, Tomatsu-san. You can sit down."

Tomatsu nodded quickly, her cheeks flushing pink.

Even though Gojo-sensei acted a little shady at times—half playful, half teasing—his looks were impossible to ignore.

Even with only half his face visible under the blindfold, it was obvious.

This man is ridiculously handsome.

Just exchanging a few words with him made Tomatsu's heart skip a beat.
