Synopsis: Mamoru and Masato are going to face each other in the SEMIs. However, it seems one of them has a big secret...
A bright morning in a park. The Sun is shining bright in the sky alongside the clouds. Masato is seen jogging while letting out some sweat and exhaustion.
Masato: Gotta train myself for the Tournament. And I need to be in shape. [When you think about it, I might face either Hou or Daryl. And...]
Suddenly, a wild bang just went off. An illegal monster appears and starts rampaging across the park. Parts of the park are getting destroyed. Citizens are seen screaming and fleeing from the scene. Masato decides to stop due to being jumpscared.
Masato: What in the world ???
Yet suddenly, a boy wearing an orange jacket, red shirt, white trousers, and boots just passed by and ran into the situation. Masato recognizes him.
Masato: What is Mamoru doing here? Isn't he my next opponent?
Mamoru holds out a card and...
Mamoru: Transform.
Mamoru suddenly transforms into "Galaxy Exalt, Cosmoman". Its size is huge, and it towers with the illegal monster. Cosmoman immediately heads into Battle. Masato is shocked. Okay, yeah, it's like Ultraman.
Masato: Mamoru...just transformed. Into Cosmoman??? So this whole time...the defender of justice was him all along?
Cosmoman is able to even the odds with the monster. Punching the monster and deliberately accidentally hitting one of the trees that's near Masato. Witnessing this in shock, Masato immediately evades.
Masato: Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness...Huh...
The next day, Masato decides to find Mamoru. He runs to the school yard and finds him reading a book.
Masato: Hey, Mamoru.
Mamoru: Huh? (Notices Masato) Oh, hey, you're Masato, right? The Ace of Sports.
Masato: Yeah. Do you mind if we talk?
Mamoru: No. In fact, I was meaning to talk to you about something.
Masato: What is it?
Meanwhile, Ranma & Hou are checking their video stats in one of the empty classrooms. They are overjoyed.
Ranma: Woooo, man, your vid of you facing Gwen is absolutely skyrocketing.
Hou: I know. But seriously, I'm not doing that again because that was absolutely reckless.
Ranma: Yeah, good point.
Hou: Anyways, Masato's match is coming soon. And then it's me and Daryl's. Never mind Masato, but I lost to Daryl once, so I'm not going to lose against him twice.
Ranma: Whoa, you sure are confident on Masato winning. Anyway, we should go, the prefects are coming.
Hou: Got it.
The two went downstairs, they made it to the schoolyard, and they are witnessing Masato & Mamoru training??? Masato is holding a bunch of wooden axes connected to some strings.
Masato: Better know what you're doing because training's gonna be tough.
Mamoru: Yes, Sir. I'm ready.
Masato: Now. Show me what you're made of. (Throws axe)
Mamoru bunts off the axe, and Masato throws a few more axes, and Mamoru was able to dodge and bunt them all with his bare hands.
Hou: You seeing this?
Ranma: Yeah.
Masato pulls back the axe and throws the axes one by one again and again, and Mamoru bunts them again and again.
Masato: Come on, Mamoru, you can't just bunt them forever. You have to find an opening.
Mamoru: I'm trying, but I can't.
Masato: Don't say you can't. (Pulls axes back and throws them all at once) You can do it, Cosmoman.
Mamoru: Huh?
Ranma: What'd he just say?
Masato realizes what he said in shock and panics. He pulls the axes back, and it accidentally knocks his head.
Hou: Arrgh... that's gonna hurt.
Ranma: Yikes...
Mamoru: Are you okay?
Masato: I'm fine. Let's just stop here for now.
A few minutes later, Agito hands them both towels. They wipe their sweat off.
Agito: Boy, you guys worked up some sweat.
Masato: You tell me.
Mamoru: Earlier...why did you call me Cosmoman?
Masato: {Surprised} Uh....well those axes I threw, it kinda reminded me of that illegal monster and then it reminded me of Cosmoman, so yeah...
Mamoru realizes what he's talking about in surprise.
Mamoru: You mean Dorcas, huh? I saw it too. Cosmoman is strong, but his time is short on earth, so he had to finish his battle quickly. As for Dorcas, he retreated into somewhere I do not know where.
Masato: I guess that's why you want to be stronger when you asked me to train you.
Mamoru: What are you talking about? I'm not Cosmoman.
Masato: But...
Mamoru: No buts. I'll see you tomorrow. (Gets up and leaves)
Masato: Hey, wait...
Agito: Guess he's not much of a talker.
???: Masato.
Hou and Ranma walk up to them.
Masato: Oh, hey, guys.
Ranma: What were you guys talking about?
Masato: Umm...
???: So you found out about his identity, too.
Hou: Light.
Light walks up to them.
Hou: What do you mean by "identity"?
Light: Well, it's simple. It all started during that one day...
In a flashback long ago...Mamoru was walking while holding a pack???
Light: Mamoru just bought a pack, hoping to find a buddy rare.
Suddenly, a building collapsed in front of him. The debris was about to hit a puppy below. Witnessing this, Mamoru runs in in shock to save the puppy.
Mamoru: Look Out.
Ignoring the danger to himself, another massive debris was about to hit him. Suddenly, Mamoru's pack glows, and out of nowhere, Cosmoman appears and lifts the stone up with one arm. And the other arm carries an unconscious Mamoru and the puppy who's licking his face.
Light: Mamoru's pack happens to have Cosmoman inside. By ignoring his own danger and saving the puppy's life, Mamoru shows himself to be incredibly selfless. Cosmoman was moved, and therefore the two became buddies. And they've been fighting crimes 24/7.
Flashback ends.
Hou: You mean this whole time, the defender of justice, Cosmoman, was Mamoru all along???
Ranma: Incredible. But how did you guys figure it out? It's him?
Masato: I was kinda jogging at a park one day, and then Kapao, the illegal monster, Mamoru nearby, transforms into Cosmoman, and there.
Light: As for me, I have my ways.
Ranma: Oh...
Masato: But then again, there's a saying. "Every superhero has a secret identity". He has to keep his identity unknown to keep his loved ones safe.
Light: True. Best not to reveal his identity at all.
Ranma & Hou: Agreed.
However, little did they know that Mamoru was hiding somewhere behind a wall, listening in while feeling somewhat sad. The next day, again, Masato and Mamoru train. Ranma, Garga & Hou are watching from the side.
Masato: Keep going, Mamoru.
Mamoru: I can do this.
Masato once again throws the axes, and Mamoru bunts half of the axes and side kicks the other half, destroying them.
Masato: Nice one.
Ranma: Toads aces.
The training stops, and the two meet up.
Masato: Nice Work, Man. Great Job.
The two fists bump. The two pal-tubers cheer as they clap their hands.
Hou: Nice one, Man. Maybe you can teach us a few things.
Mamoru: Don't say that. Anyway, I'm a bit tired. What should we do?
Masato: Well...Hmm, I was going to buy new packs to strengthen my deck. You guys can join if you like.
Ranma: Sure.
They all went to a nearby card shop and bought some new packs. 3 packs each to be precise. Agito & the Linkdragon Order even bought an extra pack for Masato.
Agito: Here. (Hands the pack)
Masato: (Takes it) You guys bought it yourself?
Agito: Yeah.
Flashback Time. It was revealed two weeks ago that the Linkdragon order started their own small food stall. Gwen taught them how to cook and sometimes helped out there. Ranma & Hou did some promotion work, and because of it, they were able to earn a lot of cash.
Agito: Let's just say we did some cooking and then this happened. We did a lot of grilling, and running a stall isn't easy at all.
Flashback end.
Harahara: But in the end, it all worked out.
Tategami: Use this to help boost your deck.
Masato: Will do, thanks, guys.
Mamoru: You have a lot of good friends on your side. Masato, I won't lose in tomorrow's match. Consider it as a repayment for training me.
Masato: I was hoping you would say that. I won't lose either. Let's both give it our all.
The two fists bump. The day of the match arrived.
Ion: The Helping Hands Cup is still underway. Today is the day we begin the SEMIs, people.
Tako: And the first two fighters are...THEM. Featuring the Ace of Sports, Masato Rikuo, and a 6th Grader at our school, Mamoru Sekai.
Ion: All eyes on them, who will win?
Meanwhile, Ranma, Hou & Garga are spectating.
Hou: Justice vs Bonds. I wonder who's going to win.
Garga: Although I'm surprised you're here as well.
Garga's point refers to the fact that Daryl & Masato are watching too.
Daryl: There are many strong opponents besides Hou himself. There are others that I have to observe as well.
Cross: Intelligence and Focus are the keys to success, they say.
Masato: The linked spiral is our chain of bonds. Luminize. Spiral Linkdragon Order.
Mamoru: You want me to give it my all, right? Allow me to use my true deck.
Masato: {Curious} What?
Mamoru: I'll protect everyone's smiles with my burning soul of justice! Luminize! Cosmo Justice!
Ion & Tako: And....BUDDYFIGHT.
Both: Raise the Flag.
Masato: Ancient World.
Mamoru: Hero World.
Ion: And the first move goes to Masato.
Masato: Draw. Charge and Draw. I call Kaina to the center. And I buddycall Agito to the right.
Ion: Masato starts off by summoning two monsters. And thanks to Dragon Share, they are able to amp up.
Masato: Agito. Attack the fighter.
Agito: (Attacks) I'm burning with fighting spirit.
Mamoru receives 3 damage.
Masato: My turn is now over. [He said he's using his true deck. Could this mean...]
Mamoru: I draw. Charge and Draw. Cosmo Falcon No.2 to the right.
Cosmo Falcon No.2 appears.
Mamoru: With No.2's effect, I discard a Galaxy Defense Team card from my hand. Looking at the top 5 cards of my deck, I add another Defense Team and an Exalt card among them to my hand.
Ion: Mamoru just increased his hand further, and he just called Falcon No.1 to the left.
Mamoru: Cast. Hyper Energy. (Increases Gauge) Masato, I want to thank you for training me throughout these past few days. And after that day when I left abruptly, I had time to think for myself.
Masato: What do you mean?
Mamoru: It was tough, it was nerve-racking, but after I heard you and your friends decide to support me, I decided to do one thing. (Holds up a card) Buddy Transform.
The card glows bright and suddenly, Mamoru just transformed into Cosmoman. And the Size is fit enough to stand on stage. Everyone's shocked.
Ion: Wh Wh Wh Wh WHAT???? Mamoru just transformed.
Tako: And not just that, his buddy is COSMOMAN??? The defender of Justice Himself???
Daryl: I see. This whole time Cosmoman's true Identity--
Cross: --was that young man all along.
Mamoru: (Deeper Voice) I was moved by how you and your friends bond with each other, and thus I will no longer hide my Identity. So, shall we fight to the earnest?
Masato: Yes, we shall. Come at Me.
Mamoru nods and then places three cards from his deck into his soul.
Hou: What just happened?
Mamoru: Falcon No.2, Commence attack on Kaina.
Falcon No.2 defeats Kaina by firing missiles.
Kaina: Aww, come on, I didn't even get to attack. (Destroyed)
Somehow, Masato receives additional Damage.
Ion: Whoa, Falcon No.2. has penetrate. Leaving Masato with 9 life.
Mamoru: Falcon No.1. Commence Attack on the fighter.
Same Missile Action. Masato receives even more damage, leaving him at 7 life. Now Mamoru is on the offense. In a city-like background, Cosmoman battles a Giant Masato, dealing 6 damage.
Mamoru: I have a critical of 2. I gain 3 more critical thanks to the cards in the soul. Along with Falcon No.1's effect, I have a critical of 6.
Ion: What's more is that Cosmoman also has Double attack. And now he's on the offense. Could this be the end for the Ace of Sports???
Cosmoman attacks again.
Masato: I cast. Undying Link Dragon Order. (Blocks)
Ion: Masato just narrowly escaped his death and gains a life.
Mamoru: My turn is now over.
Somehow, Mamoru's soul is dropped by one.
Hou: His soul went down after his turn ends. Why?
???: Cosmoman is a strong unit.
Light appears beside them.
Hou: Light.
Light: Every time his turn ends, Cosmoman's soul is reduced by one. And when all souls are out, his transformation is cancelled at the end of his turn.
Ranma: Guess that's why Cosmoman's fighting time is very short on Earth. The best way to win is to chip away at his soul cards.
Garga: Now, how will Masato respond?
Masato: Draw. Charge & Draw. I call Tategami to the center.
Tategami: Oh, Yeah !!!
Suddenly, Mamoru's soul went down.
Mamoru: What the?
Tategami: It's my ability, dum dum.
Ion: Whoa, Tategami's dragon share ability just dropped his soul.
Masato: Harahara to the left.
Harahara: I'm ready for a full calorie attack.
Tategami: One more time. Dragon Share. Use my power.
Harahara: You got it.
Once again, Mamoru's soul is reduced.
Mamoru: Oh No.
Ion: Cosmoman is out of soul cards. This means that at the end of Mamoru's turn, his transformation is cancelled.
Masato: Harahara & Agito. Link attack on the fighter.
The two cards link attack.
Mamoru: I cast. Cosmo Barrier. For this turn, damage I take is reduced to 1.
Ion: One???
Mamoru receives one damage...
Masato: Harahara and Tategami. Link attack.
One More Damage...
Masato: Agito & Tategami. Link attack.
One Last Damage.
Masato: Tch. He's strong. My turn is now over.
Ion: Now, it's Mamoru's turn. And the moment his turn ends, his transformation is cancelled.
Tako: He has to finish this now, and oh look, he's on the offense.
Mamoru: Falcon 1, attack Tategami.
Tategami is defeated.
Mamoru: Falcon 2.
Masato loses 2 more life points. Leaving him at 12 life. Now, Mamoru lunges in with a bench assault of his own, another 3 damage, leaving him at 9 life points. Mamoru attacks again, another 3 damage, now at 6 life points.
Mamoru: Cast. Cosmo Blaster. I deal 2 damage. And then, Final Phase.
Masato: What???
Mamoru charges an energy wave attack through his palm.
Mamoru: This Damage cannot be reduced nor avoided. 4 Damage. Say your goodbyes. Impact !!! ASTIUM PHOTON WAVE.
The Wave strikes forth, and thus Masato is HIT !!!
All: Masato !!!
However, Masato is still standing as he braces himself high. Why???
Mamoru: How did you???
Masato: I had Agito to thank for this one.
It's revealed that 5 seconds earlier, before the strike hit...
Past Masato: Cast. Linkdragon Order Links. (Gain 1 life)
Back to the present...
Masato: When Agito bought a pack for me earlier, that pack contained that new spell inside. Gracias, Agito.
Agito: Te' nada, Masato.
Mamoru: So your teammates gave you a hand. Impressive. So be it. My turn is now over.
Mamoru's transformation is cancelled.
Ion: Unbelievable, Masato survived the Impact by a cinch. And because of that, Mamoru's transformation is over. Now is Masato's turn; let's see how the Ace of Sports responds.
Masato: Draw. Charge and Draw. Successive cast. Linkdragon Order's hunt. Dragon Emperor Legend.
Ion: Masato just cast spells and increased his resources.
Masato: Spiral Thunderaxe, King Agito to the center.
Agito: (Appears) Incredible power flows within me.
Masato: Here we go.
Both: Spiral Dragon Share !!!
King Agito glows bright and thunder sparks around him.
Masato: King Agito.
Agito: Right. (Attacks)
King Agito dealt 4 damage. Double attack time...
Mamoru: Cast. I've seen through your moves. (Blocks the attack) I'm not losing this one.
Masato: Neither Will I. Final Phase
Mamoru is shocked.
Masato: Cast...Thunder Dragon Tornado!!!
Impact sequence. The Tornado spins forth and is about to strike Mamoru.
Mamoru: The force of justice always wins. But today, I lose. Because Masato is also a force of justice.
Mamoru accepts his defeat, and the Impact strikes forth. Masato wins the game as Mamoru's flag is down.
Ion: Game End. Winner. Masato Rikuo.
Masato: For Share.
Tako: The Ace of Sports is moving on to the Finals, Everyone.
Outside....
Agito: Order's Anthem. Commence.
Linkdragon Order: The linked spiral is the chain of bonds. We all want to hear Masato say for share !!! So we join forces and fight in his name !!! Oh Yeah. We Are. Linkdragon Order. YAY.
Sunset arrives. Mamoru and Masato shake hands.
Mamoru: Good Luck in the Finals. I'll be cheering you on.
Suddenly, Mamoru's head radar just rang. Meaning an Emergency approach. Dorcas returns on a rampage, and Cosmoman once again appears. Using what he learned from training, Mamoru evens the odds.
Masato: You got this, Mamoru!!!
Mamoru: Eh?
Masato: You can do this, okay. Use everything that you learned in training, and we'll be here backing you up.
Hou: All together now...
All: DON'T GIVE UP, COSMOMAN!!!
Cosmoman nods and gets back into the fight. The battle was intense, but Cosmoman had the upper hand. With one last leap into the air, Cosmoman fires Astium Photon Wave towards Dorcas and destroys him.
All: ALRIGHT.
Cosmoman returns to normal, but suddenly he heads off to a different direction.
Ranma: Hey, where's he going?
Masato: Probably another battle. After all, the life of a superhero never stops. Maintaining the peace on earth is their duty. You got this, Mamoru. Fight hard, Cosmoman.
Intro Segment Plays.
Both: Whaddup Pals.
Hou: Hey guys, it's us again, and we're going to introduce a special card.
Ranma: This is today's card. Check it out.
Hou: Galaxy Exalt, Cosmoman. Not only he's a size 3 but you can transform into him as well. Meaning you can equip him as an item.
Ranma: When placed, put the top 3 cards of your deck into his soul. He gains one critical and 1000 defense for each card in the soul. And when your turn ends, he loses a soul card.
Hou: And when all souls are out, his transformation is cancelled. Cosmoman is strong but you need to use him quickly in order to defeat your opponents. After all, his time fighting on earth is short.
