Synopsis: In the school's debate club, a student also works part-time at a Cafe. She meets a couple of new friends, even a buddy...
At the Buddyfight Stage, The Crowd Cheers loudly all of a Sudden. Daryl & Mamoru won their fights, and then Ion comments on it. While Daryl feels calm, Mamoru waves at the crowd.
Ion: And there you have it, folks. Daryl & Mamoru just won their matches. They're moving on to the semi-finals.
While Light waves goodbye, Lilah cries on the ground...
Ion: And meanwhile, Light waves goodbye with some hearts, and Lilah is...um...yeah.
Tako: Anyways, this means the SEMI finals will include Hou Ren, Daryl, Masato & Mamoru. Masato will be facing Mamoru first, and then followed by Daryl vs Hou Ren.
Ion: The SEMI finals will be held in a weeks time. Stay tuned.
Later on, one stormy day. The rain is pouring all over the place. Completely cats and dogs. Hou & Ranma & even Garga are running in the rain while panicking.
Hou: Why did it have to Rain Now?
Ranma: I don't know, especially after class.
Garga: There's a shelter there. Hurry.
They made it to the shelter, which is under & outside a restaurant's roof. All three are exhausted as they let out their panting while holding themselves on by knees.
Hou: I'm soaking wet.
Ranma: Ya think? I'm the same.
Hou: Oh, like you're any better. I'm way more soaked than you.
Ranma: Says who?
Garga: Calm down, both of you. We're all soaking wet. (Sigh) This is going to take a long while.
Hou checks his phone but...
Hou: Man...I got no signal...Mom's gonna be furious at me if I don't let her know we're in a jam.
Ranma: Luckily, mine won't. Cuz they're out for work.
Hou: Yea,h Yeah.
Suddenly, they hear a knock behind them. They see a teenage girl waving at them. Later, they are sitting at a table. They are also given some towels to wipe themselves off.
Ranma: Why are we here, though?
Hou: Dude, it's better than staying out in the rain. But I think we're gonna need to like order something if we're gonna stay for a while.
???: No need. Sorry to keep you waiting.
The same teenage girl serves them some Pizza.
???: Here. Some Pepperoni Pizza. On the House.
Garga: Pizza, huh? This is another Earth food I haven't tried.
Hou: Then let's dig in. (Realizes in Pause) Wait a sec. I know you. You're Gwen. Gwen Hanoaka. From the school's debate club.
Gwen: (Bows in skirt) The one and only.
Garga: My, A beautiful Maiden you are.
Ranma: But why are you here? I mean, it's Wednesday today, so shouldn't you be in club?
Gwen: Well, apparently today's club activity was cancelled. And my family has been running this restaurant for years now. I thought, Why not help them out while I can? Funny, the same question should go to you two.
Hou: My club has a day off as well.
Ranma: Same here.
Gwen: What a coincidence. By the way, you must be Hou & Ranma, and you must be Gargantua Dragon.
Hou: How'd you know our names?
Gwen: I'm a fan of the Whaddup Pals Channel. Your skits are kinda funny and entertaining.
Ranma: Aww, thanks. If you want, we can help you bring some publicity.
Gwen: I love that, but not today. I'm not really into being on camera unless necessary.
Hou: Oh...
Gwen: [Though then again...it's not the only way on how I know him. I guess he must've forgotten. ]
Suddenly, she hears some burps.
Hou: Excuse us...
Garga: Pardon me.
Gwen chuckles. Later ,the rain stops, and they are about to leave.
Hou: That pizza was delish. Do you mind if we come again tomorrow?
Gwen: Not At All. Please Come By Anytime You Want. (Tehe)
As they leave, Hou is wondering something about her. His heart is beating loudly.
Hou: Gwen, Huh?
Garga: Something wrong?
Hou: Nothing. Just thinking out loud.
Ranma: Let me guess. (Teasing) Someone's in love.
Hou: {Embarrassed} What? No!!!
Ranma: Hehe. Sure...
The next day, once again, school ended. The three are once again walking together.
Ranma: {sarcastic} Wooo, another day at school = another exhaustion.
Hou: Yeah...School, not gonna lie, is boring sometimes. But hey, on the bright side, we get to go to that cafe again.
Ranma: Does your mom know you're having lunch there?
Hou: Yes. Don't worry about it.
Ranma: Sweet.
They made it inside.
Gwen: Welcome to Cafe Blossom. Oh, hey guys.
Ranma: Sup, Gwen. We came to eat Pizza again.
They made it to a table and, of course, Gwen served them their Pizza.
Gwen: Enjoy yourselves.
Hou: Thanks.
Gwen: So what's new for the channel?
Hou: About that, we haven't had a new Idea yet. We're working on it, though, but it's going to take a long time.
Ranma: Plus, there's also the cup we have to focus on. Hou's in the SEMI's after all.
Gwen: I see. Funny you should mention that, because I'm also a buddyfighter.
Hou & Ranma: For Real???
Gwen: Well, to be precise, I don't have a buddy yet.
Ranma: {Surprisingly excited} No way. Me too. We're like two peas in a pod.
Gwen: Yep. It'll be nice to have a buddy of my own one day.
Garga: As long as you remain hopeful and patient, I'm sure your future buddy will be amazing.
Hou: Hmm...(Snaps fingers) I have an idea.
Gwen: Huh? What is it?
Gwen suddenly becomes excited as she's right in front of the Ace of Games.
Gwen: Please Tell Me. Hou.
Hou: Uh...
Later, all of them are out walking.
Hou: Are you really sure you want to tag along? My Idea is basically us doing an unboxing video and buddyfight using the cards we got.
Gwen: Of course. I can close the cafe for a bit. Besides, I want to see how you guys develop your video.
Ranma: Boy, you sure are excited.
Garga: But Hou, that Idea is preposterous. There are random cards in packs, and they are from different worlds. It's really unbalanced.
Ranma: Well, to be precise, the cards we're gonna use will still activate regardless of the world or attribute. Otherwise, it wouldn't be much of a match.
Garga: I see.
They pass by a park, and Hou stops for a moment and looks at it. Suddenly, he remembers that when he was really young, he used to go to this park every day after kindergarten. And Gwen was there too. Followed by a toddler Ion. The two are having fun playing on the swings, the slides and etc.
Hou (Toddler): Hey. I just have a cool Idea.
Gwen (Toddler): Huh? What is it? Please Tell Me, Hou.
When the Flashback ends, Hou suddenly realizes something.
Hou: Wait...Gwen...We went to the same Kindergarten once !!!
Gwen: You finally remembered !!! (Hugs Him) Took you long enough.
Ranma: Huh? What are you guys talking about?
Gwen: We'll explain later.
While they have their moment, little did they know that they are being stalked by a familiar punk. Later, at a card shop, they all purchase their cards.
Garga: I see. So Gwen was also one of your childhood friends.
Hou: Yep. We were placed in the same class as Ion's.
Gwen: We played a lot together after our class ended. It was so fun.
Garga: But if that's the case, how come Hou has forgotten about you?
Hou: Well...back then, I had to move one time because of my Dad's Company. Because of that, I had to say goodbye to both Ion and Gwen.
Gwen: We were sad to see you go because you were mostly entertaining in kindergarten. And 6 years have passed since then.
Garga: Interesting...
Hou: However, we had to move back because I heard the company didn't go well. I enrolled in the Academy, reunited with Ion, but Gwen, however. I'm sorry I forgot about you after all those years.
Gwen: That's okay. The important thing is that you remembered it now.
Hou: Yeah...Wait, where's Ranma?
Meanwhile, Ranma was outside, sitting on a bench. However, the cards he got...
Ranma: (Sigh) It's always like this. First No Buddy Rare, then I'm not in the scenes, and then...
Ranma remembers Hou, alongside his achievements.
Ranma: Hou is getting better. Even better than me perhaps...And Gwen, being one of his childhood friends, it's like...
Hou: Ranma.

Hou & Garga walk in.
Hou: I haven't open one yet. What's wrong?

Ranma: Where's Gwen?
Hou: She says she's gonna head to the toilet.
Ranma: Oh...You know, Garga said, be hopeful and be patient. But now I feel like I'm losing them.
Hou: Don't say that, I mean...
Suddenly, they hear a loud scream. A loud yet familiar scream.
Hou: What the !!!
Garga: Gwen???
A paltuber just appears on the Camera.
???: Da Dan Roar !!! Welcome back to the Da Dan Channel. Today, Da Dan is going to show you this.
Da Dan focuses the camera on a very afraid and shy Gwen.
???: Ho Hoo...It's the fact that we get to scope out the cutest cutie, aka Gwen.
Gwen: Hey. Stop That. I said I don't want to be on camera many times. You kept dragging me without my consent.
???: Shut Up Girl. (Harasses Her) Now...Give Me A Kiss.
Gwen: NO!!!
Suddenly, Hou, Ranma & Garga come in.
Hou: Gwen.
Garga: THAT EVILDOER AGAIN.
As Da Dan is about to touch her even more, Hou rushes in. It's in slow motion, but suddenly one of Gwen's card packs glows. Everyone's shocked. The card comes out of her pack and reveals herself as...
???: I am Electrodeity of Light, Amaterasu. I am a deity hailing from Katana World. What's your name, little one?
Her form is a beautiful goddess wearing a velvet red and white robe with gold and brown accents and blue spots. She has light black hair with blue highlights and wears a sun crown on top of her head. She has red and yellow eyes with black pupils.
Gwen: I'm....Gwen. Gwen Hanaoka. Ma'am?
Amaterasu: Gwen Hanaoka? A really beautiful name. Nice to meet you.
Hou: Gwen just got her first buddy rare.
Da Dan: So...That Gwen here now has a babelicious Buddy. I'm going to have so much fun filming this.
Amaterasu: Close your eyes.
Gwen closes her eyes and suddenly, Amaterasu and Gwen glow gold. Amaterasu disappears as she goes inside her buddy? "Gwen" opens her eyes and becomes serious.
Garga: She's been possessed.
Amaterasu: I will not forgive those who harm my buddy. No matter who they may be.
Da Dan: WHAT?
Amaterasu fires two blasts, destroying his camera and directly at Da Dan. Luckily, Da Dan dodges, and he flees while saying, "I'll get you back for this". Amaterasu then releases Gwen from possession.
Amaterasu: You're safe now, my child. No one can ever hurt you.
Gwen: Thank you...You're really beautiful. Is it okay if I also think of you as a big sister???
Amaterasu: {Flustered} Of course. Anything you like. Funny, you're not the first person who said that.
Gwen: Really?
Amaterasu: Now, tell me, what's your favorite Animal?
Gwen: I like Cats. Why, you ask?
Amaterasu: (chuckles) Watch this.
Amaterasu suddenly transforms into a cat. Cat version of herself, to be precise, as she lands on Gwen's arms.
Gwen: So Cute. (Purrs Her)
Hou: That's New.
Garga: A shapeshifting monster, too.
Hou: You know... Ranma, do you think?
Ranma: Say No More. Do It.
Hou: Gwen. Change of Plans. How would you like to buddyfight me instead?
Gwen: Great Idea.
On one of the benches, Amaterasu advises Gwen on which cards to use.
Amaterasu: And that's why you should include this card.
Gwen: Wow. You're so smart, big sis. But what about this one? (Shows another)
Amaterasu: Hmm, tough choice...
Meanwhile, Hou unboxes his cards and acquires even more new cards.
Hou: Whoa, I got a bunch of rares.
Garga: You're right. And these ones are strong.
However, Ranma, who is watching them, is down in the dumps...His eyes are completely blocked by shadow as he continues looking down.
Ranma: Even Gwen has her own buddy...(clenches his fists) What about me? Why....Just why?
Hou: Ranma?
Ranma: I'm sorry... (Runs away)
Hou & Garga watch this with worry.
Hou: Garga...I have a proposal in mind.
Garga: I'm listening...
Later, Gwen & Hou, alongside their buddies, are on stage. Ion once again appears.
Ion: Whenever there's a buddyfight, you can find us, Ion & Takokichi. Today, The Ace Of Games, Hou Ren, is facing Gwen Hanoaka, who just got her first buddy rare. Hey Girl, took you long enough, too.
Gwen: You know it. All three of us are Childhood friends after all. But that doesn't mean we'll go easy on you.
Hou: Um, sure...
Gwen: Purge evil, purify the unclean, and protect the innocent. Luminize! Blessed Heavenly Light!
Hou: A deity's dragon brigade descends, come on. Luminize, Dradeity.
Ion: And...Buddyfight.
Both: Raise the flag.
Gwen: Katana World.
Hou: Dragon World.
Ion: The first move goes to Gwen herself.
Gwen: Draw. Charge & Draw. Equip. Kagura Bell of Worship. (Equips a Kagura Bell) (Attacks)
Gwen deals 1 damage.
Ion: Gwen just dealt one damage towards Hou, and her turn ends.
Hou: Okay. Draw. Charge & Draw.
Suddenly, Hou & Garga hear bells chiming. It was from Gwen as she waves her item left and right slowly.
Hou: What's going on? It's my turn, right?
Gwen: Buddy Posses.
Amaterasu, who's beside her, nods and once again possesses her. Gwen once again glows bright.
Ion: Say what? Gwen chose not to buddy call but to Buddy Posses. What's going on?
Gwen: With Buddy Posses, not only we gain 1 life, but we also have 8000 defense. Unless you have power that's over 8000, you cannot deal damage.
Ranma: So her possession applies in Buddyfight, too.
Hou: If that's the case, I call Garbird to the left. Garcat to the center. And Gardog to the right.
All three Gar Trio are summoned.
Garbird: This Bird's ready to Rumble.
Gardog: You're close to the edge.
Garcat: We'll give you a knuckle sandwich.
Ion: Whoa. Hou just starts off by calling three monsters.
Amaterasu: My ability activates. (Gains 2 life) Increasing my defense by 4000. For a total of 12000 defense.
Hou: 12000? Gar Trio, triple link attack on the fighter.
The Gar Trio attacks.
Amaterasu: I cast. Ceremonial, Fire Mirror. (Blocks the attack)
When Hou's turn ends, Amaterasu releases her possession.
Hou: For a first timer, that was pretty good. My turn is now over.
Amaterasu: Gwen. I must admit you're a good host.
Gwen: Thanks. Alright, it's my turn. Draw. Charge & Draw. I choose Unruly Electrodeity, Susanoo from my hand and possess.
Susanoo appears.
Susanoo: Gwen, your victory is assured as long as I'm around. Now, Brace Yourself. (Posses her)
Hou: Say what?
Ion: Interesting. So her buddy's not the only one.
Susanoo: I call Guardian Electrobeast, Komaji, to the left.
Komaji: (Appears) Yes, yes, I'm here.
Susanoo: Komaji's effect lets me gain two life, one gauge & draw. Now I call Guardian Electrobeast, Komaichi.
Komaichi: I shall aid Gwen to my fullest.
Susanoo: Komaichi's effect increases our power and critical. Now to activate my ability. I pay 1 life and I gain triple attack & penetrate.
Garga: What? Triple Attack?
Hou: I cast. Dragotrap. (Pays cost)
Suddenly, Susanoo's affected by the spell, unable to move. Susanoo struggles to move left and right as he lets out a grunt.
Ion: Whoa. Hou wasted no time and cast Dragotrap to prevent her from attacking.
Susanoo: Stopping me won't save you. Komaichi.
Komiachi: Yes. (Attacks)
Komaichi attacks with a kick and hits Garcat.
Garcat: I'm hit, cat. (Destroyed)
Susanoo: Komaji. Follow Him.
Komaji: Whatever. (Attacks)
Hou receives 3 damage.
Susanoo: I'm not done yet. Cast. Electrodeity Festival. I stand Komaichi back up.
Komaichi: I won't waste this opportunity. (Attacks)
Hou: Cast. Deity Blue Dragon Shield. (Blocks the Attack) I gain 3 gauge.
Susanoo releases his possession.
Gwen: My turn is over.
Ion: Whoa. Hou is incredibly cornered. However, now Gwen has 14 Life. Can Hou top them all?
Ranma: If I know well, Hou still has Garga. So maybe...
???: What are you talking about? I'm right here.
Ranma: Huh?
Ranma turns right to see Garga is beside him??? He's shocked.
Ranma: Wait, what? Garga, what are you?
Garga: It took you long enough to notice.
Hou: Yep. I've been fighting without Garga this entire time.
All: WHAT?
Ion: Wait, wait, what??? You've been fighting without a Buddy this whole time??? But why?
Hou: Relax, we didn't have a fallout whatsoever. It was all my idea, and I want to show something to a special friend of mine.
Gwen: What? What are you?
Hou: Draw. Charge & Draw.
Gwen: Hold it. Amaterasu.
Amaterasu possesses Gwen once again.
Hou: Equip. (equips) Deity Dragon Sword, Garblade. I cast. Demon Lord's Roaring Dragon Blast.
Batzz (Not the Real Batzz) appears and destroys All of Gwen's Monsters.
Gwen's Side: Ahhh. (Destroyed)
Amaterasu: My monsters.
Hou: For each monster destroyed, I draw one card. (Does so) Cast. Dragogenius. (Draws again)
Hou notices what he drew and smiles in confidence. Ranma & Amaterasu notice this in surprise. Once again, he stomps the ground and his eyes become cat-like.
Amaterasu: Not so fast. My ability to activate.
Ion: Amaterasu now has 12000 defense.
Hou: Cast. Loud Voice. I discard two cards from my hand. Reducing the opponent's power.
Amaterasu is suddenly affected.
Amaterasu: What The???
Ion: Say what? He has a loud voice card???
Ranma: Now Amaterasu has 6000 defense!!!
Hou: And there's more. Garbird increases my cards' power by 3000. One more time, guys. Attack one at a time.
Garbird & Gardog: (Attacks) Right.
Amaterasu just received three hits, marking her total of 8 life.
Ion: Uh Oh. Now Hou has no attacks left.
Hou: Cast. Gar-Cmon. Calling Garcat from the dropzone to the center again.
Garcat is summoned once again.
Hou: With Garcat's ability, I draw one card. Garcat. Attack Amaterasu.
Amaterasu: Cast. Ceremonial Fire Mirror. (Blocks the attack)
Hou: Cast. Gargantua Tactic: Triple Timer. (Pays 2 gauge, 1 life & draws a card) Garcat stands, and since I have another deity dragon tribe on the field, I deal 2 damage to the opponent.
Ion: And Garcat just dealt another one damage. But even with that spell, Gwen still has 6 life remaining.
Hou: Cast Again. Gargantua Tactic: Triple Timer. Gardog stands and 2 damage to you.
Ranma: Wait, what?
Garga: {Awkward} Okay, Hou's Luck is something else...
Gardog: One more time. (attacks)
Amaterasu again receives 2 damage; now she's at 1 life.
Amaterasu: Whoa...
Ranma: I never thought Hou would even the odds. Even without a buddy.
Hou: There's more where that came from. I cast. Victory Slash.
Amaterasu: Huh?
Hou: You and I must play Rock, Paper, Scissors. Should I win, I inflict 2 damage to you.
Amaterasu: Ah?
Ranma: Oh boy...this is awkward...
Garga: It all comes down to this...here goes.
Both Amaterasu and Hou raise their right hands and...
Both: Rock...Paper...Scissors!!!
Hou shoots Scissors, and Amaterasu shoots Paper. She is shocked and thus Hou raises out his right hand...
Hou: Victory...(slash) SLASH!!!
Just as the slash is about to hit her, Amaterasu's spirit flies out and shields Gwen. They both yell out, and Gwen's flag is out.
Ion: I...I can't believe what I'm seeing. Hou Wins.
The Crowd cheers. Ranma's stunned.
Ranma: Unbelievable...
Garga: You said it...
Ion: Hou was able to win without using a buddy??? How did the Ace of Games become this strong?
Hou: I was lucky. If anything, I took a massive risk when I gave up most of my defense spells. Let's just say 65% of my deck was all attack spells.
Ion: SAY WHAT????
Ranma: YOU'RE CRAZY.
Garga: Honestly, I disapproved, but in Buddyfight, anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
Hou: Anyways, Gwen, I had a blast. Sorry for the Win.
Gwen: No worries. I had a blast too. What do you think, Big Sis?
Amaterasu: I must admit, even though we lost, I feel partially useless. But other than that, I feel enjoyable. (Bows) Thank you for the great match, Mr. Hou Ren.
Gwen: Right? Buddyfight is so fun.
Hou: And you don't have to call me "Mr.". {Awkward} That would sound like I'm an uncle...
Everyone's all smiles. Sunset arrives. Hou, Garga, Gwen & Amaterasu meet up with Ranma.
Hou: Well, Ranma, did you get all the footage?
Ranma: I sure did. Now leave the editing to me.
Hou: Sweet.
Ranma: There's one thing I want to ask, though.
Hou: What is it?
Ranma: Why would you...you know?
Hou: Well...(scratches his head) it was stupid, yes. But...I noticed you were down in the dumps for not having a buddy.
Ranma: Ah?
Garga: So we both decided that Hou should not fight with me today. In order to show you that you can be strong even without a buddy.
Gwen: I see...
Hou: As for the offense part, I just thought that could be like a great idea for the vid.
Ranma: You did all of this...for me?
Hou: Yeah. Ranma, if I don't feel sorry for you, I wouldn't have done so. Besides, look at the past record, you really cornered me back at the tournament.
Ranma: {Astonished} You guys...
???: That was an excellent fight, man.
Masato, Agito, Daryl & Cross walk up to them.
Hou: Masato.
Ranma: Daryl.
Masato: We saw your match today, and man, you were absolutely crazy.
Agito: No Buddy yet an all-out offense play??? You really are the Ace of Games.
Daryl: But the fact that you pulled off such an impossible feat.
Cross: You're an odd one, Hou.
Hou: Yeah, Yeah. But let me say it, I'm not doing that again.
Everyone laughs.
Hou: Anyways, I'm surprised you guys are nearby.
Gwen: And since you guys are here, shall we head back to the restaurant?
Hou: Sure.
Masato: What restaurant?
Hou: Just trust me. The Pizza there is delish.
Daryl: If you say so.
Everyone walks together. Meanwhile, at Ranma's house, Ranma's drawer is rumbling as power spirals around it...
Intro Segment Plays.
Both: Whaddup Pals.
Hou: Hey guys, it's us again, and we're going to introduce a special card.
Ranma: This is today's card. Check it out.
Hou: Electrodeity of Light, Amaterasu & Kagura Bell of Worship. It's two cards yes but don't underestimate them. Kagura Bell is an item that lets you to place an Electrodeity monster on top of it. In other words, it's being treated as an item.
Ranma: The monster won't be destroyed and you can do so at the start of every player's main phase. At the end of each turn, you must return the monster to your hand.
Hou: As for Amaterasu, when she's used as an item, the fighter gains her stats. And her two abilities. One being gaining 8000 power and double attack. The other is to gain 2 life and 4000 defense.
Ranma: Be sure to use these two wisely. The key is to use it at the right time with the right abilities.
