Synopsis: Once again, the two pals are facing off. However, Ranma seems to be at the top of his game. How will this turn out?
At school, during recess, Hou & Ranma are reviewing their channel statistics through Ranma's computer.
Ranma: Woah, Masato's vid has pump up big time.
Hou: Thunder Dragon Tornado really is Thunder Dragon Tornado.
Ranma: Though it has Lightning in it, so I wonder why it's not called "Lightning Dragon Tornado".
Hou: Uh, Thunder means Lightning ???
Ranma: (Scratches his head in {awkward})Oh right, sorry.
Ranma then checks his vid. Featuring his matches. But sadly...
Ranma: Great...my vid is down in the dumps.
Hou: Those people don't know anything. Don't let them get to you.
Ranma: Easy for you to say. It's because you have a buddy. That's why my views have gone down.
Hou: Ranma...
They hear some noise outside and go to check it out. Apparently, Ion is interviewing some students.
Ion: Who do you think will win this Cup?
Student #1: I'm thinking Masato Rikuo.
Student #2: I'm thinking Daryl Hoshino.
Ion: That so?
Hou: An interview, huh?
Ranma: Ion does this every year to have students' opinions on who being the victor. But sadly, this year, I heard the Majority goes to Daryl & Masato.

A few hours later, it's home time. Students are leaving and Hou and Ranma are preapring to leave too. Garga then comes out of his pack.

Garga: I'm thinking we should head to a card shop. Your deck needs strengthening.
Ranna: I was thinking the same thing. For my deck.
Hou: Sure, why not?
Later, after coming out of the card shop, they are holding their new packs and even a booster box.
Ranma: I'm surprised your mum was able to give you an advance on allowance. I never thought we would be buying a booster box each.
Hou: She's gonna kill me after this, but I guarantee this will be worth it.
Garga: I'm aware she gave you that money for lunch. So doing this is wrong. But when you think about it. Sometimes, Great Reasons and Great Success require great sacrifice.
Ranma: True that. Okay, gotta go. I'll see you at tomorrow's match.

Later, Hou & Garga make it home, and they are very shocked & scared that Hou's Mother is standing before them angrily upon reaching the door.
Hou's Mother: What did I say about using Money Wisely?

Hou's Mother: I know you used that allowance I gave you to buy those stupid cards.

Night time...In Ranma's room, Ranma is disappointed.
Ranma: Just my luck. So many new cards, yet no buddy rare.
Ranma starts reviewing footage from Hou's matches.
Ranma: [Hou mostly relies on Garga for offense. And now that he has sonic mode, the same for defense. Obviously, he plans to create a deck that centers around Garga. Still...]
Ranma remembers the times when the two were having fun as good friends. Even when they're in Junior.
Ranma: [Even if he's my best pal, I can't lose. I'll show this whole world what I'm capable of. This is Ranma Kakogawa we're talking about.]
The day of the match arrived and every student and teacher came to spectate. Ion & Tako once again appear.
Ion: Alright, folks. It's time to start the second match of the Helping Hands Cup. This time features Hou Ren & Ranma of the 7th Grade.
Tako: Those two are famous for their antics on their Whaddup Pals channel. But only one side will win. Who shall the fortune smile upon?
Masato: Hou's going to win right? He got this.
Agito: Yep.
Daryl: No way we're missing this one.
Cross: Indeed.
Ranma: I'll crush you with my crimson fist. Luminize, Crimson Dragon Fighter.
Hou: A deity dragon's brigade descends onto the battlefield. Luminize. Dradeity.
Ion & Tako: Buddy...Fight.
Both: Raise the Flag. Dragon World.
Hou: Here's Garga.
Garga appears as SD.
Ion: Ranma goes first.
Ranma: Draw. Charge & Draw. I equip Crimson Fist, Dragoblaze. (Equips Item) Here I come. (Attacks)
Hou receives 3 damage.
Ion: Ooooh. What a deadly strike. Hou just received 3 damage, leaving him at 7 life. Now, let's see how Hou responds.
Ranma: This won't be like last time. You won't beat me.
Hou: Ranma's fired up.
Garga: Yes, I can feel his burning spirit. Let's respond the same way.
Hou: You read my mind. Draw. Charge & Draw. I equip Deity Dragon Sword Garblade. Garcat to the left. And I buddycall Garga to the right.
All of Hou's cards are summoned.
Garga: All are powerless before my blade.
Garcat: This cat is going to run with fun.
Ranma: Not so fast. I cast. Dragotrap. (Pays 2 life and 1 gauge)
Suddenly, Garga is affected, and he can't move.
Hou: What's wrong?
Garga: can't move.
Ranma: Of course, you can't. Dragotrap freezes an opponent's card in place. You relied on Garga too much, but now he can't do anything. How you like them apples?
Masato: Whoa. If I only knew I could do this.

Ranma receives one damage. Hou attacks with Garblade, causing another 2 damage. He goes for the double attack.
Ranma: I cast. Blue Dragon Shield. (Gains 1 gauge)
Hou: My turn is done.
Ion: Hou buddycalls Garga, but now he can't do a thing. Nevertheless, he also dealt 3 damage. Let's see how Ranma responds.
Ranma: Draw. Charge and Draw. I call Crimson Battler, Drum Bunker Dragon to the right. And Crimson Battler, Spin Nail Dragon to the left.
Ion: Ranma just summoned two monsters. He also casts a spell that enhances their critical by 1.
Ranma: Drum Bunker Dragon. Attack the fighter.
Hou: I cast. Gargantua Formation. I move Garga to the center.
Garga moves to the center.
Garga: I won't let anyone lay a finger on him.
Drum (NOT THE ACTUAL DRUM): Get out of my way, you cocky one. (Destroys Garga)
Garga revives with Soulguard.
Hou: You're not the only one with new cards.
Ranma: Says you. Drum gains penetrate when I have a fist Item equipped.
Hou: WHAT?
Hou receives 4 damage.
Masato: WOAH.
Agito: Intense.
Ranma: Spin Nail. Get Him.
Spin Nail also destroys Garga.
Garga: Sorry Hou. (Destroyed)
Spin Nail: Penetrate.
Hou receives another 3 damage.
Masato: Hou's on the ropes.
Agito: Uh Oh...
Ion: Wait a minute. Spin Nail doesn't have penetrate.
Ranma: The spell I cast earlier was "Burning With Crimson". It not only gives Crimson cards extra critical, but it also gives them Penetrate. Bonus, I also drew a card earlier.
Ion: Whoa. That means Hou now has one life. If Dragoblaze lands, it's game over.
Ranma attacks with Dragoblaze.

Ranma: FYI, people. I know, just because I don't have a buddy, that doesn't mean I'm like very weak and stupid. In fact, I'm the one who knows Hou Ren best. If anything, I was the one who kept encouraging him to buddyfight in the first place.
Hou: He's telling the truth, guys. We didn't bring this up before, but back then, I wasn't interested in Buddyfight. But Ranma kept going about it, and when I found Gargantua Punisher, here I am.

Ranma: Hou...no wonder you're my best pal...you know what, someday, I will have a buddy of my own. A buddy who's stronger than Garga. And I know that no matter what, we will always be best pals and rivals.
Hou: Yeah...
Garga: (In the dropzone) I always admired Good Friendships like these. Very Harmonious. Very Touching. Humans are really fascinating creatures.
Ranma: Now, enough talk. It's your turn now. Show me what you're made of.
Hou: Draw. Charge & Draw. Once again, I call Garga to the right.
Garga: I rise up once more.
Ranma: I cast. Dragotrap. Garga cannot attack.
Garga: (Affected) Not again.
Ranma: And I cast. Dragon Spell, Hiding Bomber. I destroy Garcat.
Garcat: Curses. (Destroyed)
Ranma: Now I cast. Barbed Wire. Garblade is on rest.
Hou: What?
Ion: Unbelievable. Hou's unable to do a thing during this turn. Spells cast one after another, and with G-EVO off limits, is this the end of Hou's turn?
Masato: For Share. Battling like this without a Buddy? Ranma, you're amazing.
Agito: His deck-building skills are top-notch. We could learn something from him.
Cross: We did not expect this, didn't we?

Hou: I cast. Gargantua Switch Mode.
Ranma: Wha... what is that card?
Hou: It's a spell that lets me G-EVO.
Ranma: Say what?
Hou: Change. Gargantua Dragon Sonic Mode.
Garga: (G-EVO) Sonic Mode.
Ion: Whoa. Garga's able to G-EVO.
Masato: That's a new one.
Daryl: Interesting...
Ranma: How did you...
Hou: You're not the only one with memory skills. In fact...
Flashback...
Hou: I knew you were building a deck that counters mine. So I decided to also do the same thing. You know me, and I know you. Mano Y Mano, they say.

Hou: Impact. Deity...Gargantua...Punisher!!!!
The impact is about to hit him and...
Ranma: I was so close...why are you always something, man?
Ranma's flag is destroyed.
Ion: Game End. Winner. Hou Ren.
Hou: That's how I roll.
The Crows cheer loudly. Some are giving applause.
Ion: Our Ace of Games is moving on to the SEMIs.
Garga: Well Done, Hou Ren. You fought Hard. Ranma, the same for you.
Ranma: Yeah...I guess I did.
Sunset arrives. Ranma, Hou & Garga are seen walking.
Ranma: Man. I almost had you.
Hou: Don't worry about it. Besides, I'm sure a lot of people will say you're the real victor.
Garga: Indeed. My buddy was cornered earlier.
Ranma: Earlier...

Ranma: Nah, another time. I'm a bit tired.
Hou: Let's get some dinner. I'm sure my Mom wouldn't mind having some guests around.
Masato: Sure. Why Not.
Daryl: Sounds good to me.

Ranma: Hey guys, It's us again, and today we're going to introduce today's card.
Hou: "Gargantua Switch Mode". This spell allows you to G-EVO. Keep in mind that this spell only works for Dragods. In other words, Garga. By paying one gauge, you can summon one of Garga's forms from your hand on top of him. Allowing him to attack once more.
Ranma: You can also use this card in order to avoid Garga's destruction or immobilization. For example, if Garga is on rest, and if you have one of Garga's modes, you can cast this spell to make him stand again. Wicked huh?
