Arthur watched the news. Which was of himself and the newly ascended Nephis. Calling them the prodigies of the century. Perhaps they were right, but there was still Sunny. And while he still lacked the raw power, his other abilities were great. He would have a full arsenal when he becomes a Saint, then he will stand among the strongest, perhaps beat out even Arthur and Nephis.
Soon, Arthur turned off the news, sat at his table, and rubbed his head. The word has been buzzing for the past week after learning his true name. It was like a world-changing event for them. But Arthur didn't see anything surprising in that. If they called an ascended at the level of a Saint. Why wouldn't such a person have a true name?
Finally, Arthur stood up, Regis yawning on the sofa, disappearing in motes of Aether and Destruction, coming back to Arthur's soul sea.
He had to prepare for the trip to Antarctica.
Arthur stood in Saint Cor's office, negotiating Arthur's leave for Antarctica.
"Listen, Arthur, I understand your reluctance to leave, but you will be needed there". The old Saint rubbed his temples, visibly haggard by the young man's stubbornness.
"And I say, I only leave if you can guarantee everything I've listed" Arthur shot back in a monotone, expression unchanging.
The Saint let out a sigh, waving Arthur off.
"Yes yes, I will do my best, you should be heading off to the ship".
And Arthur did leave, if worst came to worst, he might be able to Godstep back to his home. At least Arthur hoped he could; he had never used Godstep at such a distance.
But he now had Regis, which not only helped with destruction, but also his Aether abilities in general.
Brushing off the thoughts, Arthur teleported home, with all the necessary things he would need already neatly packed.
Arthur picked up the heavy bags, teleporting to the docks.
Only to stop moving once he actually saw the ship.
Saying it was massive would be an understatement.
It was gigantic, enormous. The cold back steel covered the entirety of the ship. Dozens upon dozens of turrets were set up on each side of the metal beast. The ship stood tall, almost like an actual titan. Arthur turned and his eyes met with a shadow. The shadow only waved at him, pointing to Arthur's right.
And sure enough, as Arthur turned his eyes, he met with Sunny, who was walking alongside Jet, otherwise known as Soul Reaper. Arthur remembered the times he fought together with the woman. He was actually pretty disappointed that she was coming along. Since Arthur knew Jet was from the outskirts, he would protect the people there. But Arthur also knew how many people were in Antarctica, and having such an accomplished master would definitely help out, especially with morale.
The trio exchanged greetings, moving towards the ship.
Arthur noticed three shadows slithering about, no doubt Sunny's. Which also meant that Sunny was at least a demon now. Soon they walked upon the metal surface of the ship.
And of course, Arthur was immediately recognized, his yellow hair with the white cloak immediately giving him away.
Soon they hit the waters, sometimes a few turret shots ringing out as a flying nightmare creature approached, but nothing that would require Arthur's own personal attention.
And so the ginormous ship sailed through the waters, its front seemingly cutting the water currents in half.
Arthur just spent the days in his own room, resting for what will come.
