Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Hawke, a lawyer with dreams of becoming one!

Action is better than thought.

Phoenix Constellation is only two stars away; lighting them is inevitable.

Even if he doesn't fight, with his daily training regimen of 10,000 punches, he should be able to light the remaining two stars in no more than three months.

But Hawke still has no clue about the armor.

More precisely, he has no clue about Garmanion.

He's still talking about the other two.

Theoretically, anyone with enough money can buy anything.

For example, meteorites can be used to make silver star sand.

New York City alone, not to mention the entire United States, has a large number of wealthy individuals who collect meteorites, and there are frequent meteorite fairs.

So, anyone willing to spend the money can buy anything.

Although vibranium is in short supply, that doesn't matter.

He knows where vibranium originates on Earth.

If that's all he needs, and if the other party refuses to give it to him after a nice conversation, he won't mind taking it himself.

  Again,

I want vibranium, what's your business?

So, there's only one question left.

  Garmanion!

These days, after class, Hawke would go to the library, borrowing books on gamma rays and researching related topics on the library's public computers.

Incidentally, he'd learned who New York City's wealthiest collector of meteorites was.

  Norman Osborn.

Yes,the same Norman Osborn of Osborn BioIndustries who appeared as the villain in the Spider-Man movies.

Hawke had found a post on a meteorite forum from a month ago.

According to this meteorite enthusiast, there was a room in Norman Osborn's estate dedicated to storing all the meteorites he'd purchased over the years.

He'd even found information online about Wakanda's ambassador to the United Nations.

This ambassador was in New York City, as the UN headquarters were there.

Hawke now knew the whereabouts of the meteorites and vibranium, but the final, crucial piece, Gamma-ray, remained elusive.

Hawke now commandeered a library computer, continuing his online search for information related to gamma rays.

In fact, if anyone in the Marvel Universe were to be most familiar with gamma rays, it would undoubtedly be Dr. Bruce Banner, the father of the superhero Hulk.

Unfortunately even if Hawke wanted to find him, he couldn't.

After the Battle of New York, Dr. Bruce Banner rode his donkey out of the city, and disappeared somewhere unknown.

S.H.I.E.L.D. might know, but Hawke didn't want to deal with any superheroes anymore, let alone S.H.I.E.L.D., which was synonymous with trouble

But that wasn't a big deal.

Dr. Bruce Banner wasn't the only one researching gamma rays; others were also doing the research, though perhaps not as proficient as Dr. Banner.

Take, for example, the paper Hawke had just found.

"On the Discovery of Gamma Rays in Biotherapy."

  "Dr. Curtis Connors."

  "Osborn Bioindustries..."

  "Hiss."

  Wasn't that Dr. Lizard?

Hawke realized, blinking at the paper title on the screen before him.

"Hey, are you reading Dr. Connors's paper?"

  "..."

Hawke came back to his senses, hearing a familiar voice.

He turned his head and looked behind him.

He caught his eye.

Gwen, holding a book in her arms, a few strands of golden hair cascading across her smooth, fair forehead, was standing behind him, leaning forward to look at the screen in front of Hawke.

  "On gamma rays..."

Gwen looked at the paper on the screen in front of Hawke, and with some curiosity, he turned to look at Hawke.

"You want to go to New York University's law school, right? Why are you studying gamma rays?"

"No, I went there for the money,"

  Hawke replied in his mind.

He had set a goal for himself before the cheat was awakened:

  study law.

Actually, he had originally considered medicine.

In the East Country, persuading someone to study medicine would be a crime, because in the East Country setting, a doctor who lives in a mansion and drives a sports car is definitely corrupt.

But that's not the case here.

  Let's put it this way.

If a doctor doesn't live in a mansion and drive a luxury car, they will most likely assume that your medical skills are not good enough.

Therefore, if you can succeed in medicine, you are very popular here, especially as a surgeon.

But Hawke gave up on the medical profession after considering it.

  The reason was simple.

He felt he didn't have the talent for medicine, so he had to settle for a second best option and become a lawyer in the future.

Lawyers are no less capable than doctors.

Most importantly, after studying law, if one doesn't want to work at a law firm, one can still work for the District Procuratorate and become a prosecutor, or even a judge in the future.

However, this was the path Hawke had planned for himself before awakening his inner universe, designed to ease his future.

  It wasn't necessary right now.

While Hawke hadn't even considered skipping college, at least the urgency of studying law was gone.

Hawke pondered this, then shook his head and smiled, saying to Gwen, "I was just browsing online and stumbled across this."

He closed the webpage, then stood up, handed the computer to someone else, and headed to the old library to complete his 10,000-punch challenge for the day.

It was the same old thing.

After over two years of practice, he felt something was missing every day he didn't box.

Gwen watched Hawke leave the library and blinked.

As she was lost in thought, a female classmate woke her up and pulled her along, looking for a place to sit and read.

After all, the end of the month is almost over, and starting tomorrow, Central City High School will enter finals week, the dreaded week for even the most underachieving students.

Every school has its share of underachieving students, and Central City High School is no exception.

With the exception of a small minority, the majority of students are paying tens of thousands of dollars per semester for tuition.

And most of the underachieving students are among them.

So, these days, you can see the once energetic underachieving students cramming for exams.

Hawke doesn't need to.

Before his inner universe awakened, he didn't need to cram, and after it did,he needed even less. His future was destined to be either comfortable or even more comfortable.

  So...

  Hawke maintained his own pace.

  In the old gymnasium,

Hawke practiced his boxing skills with great concentration.

With the slightly aching sound of the door opening, a beautiful figure walked in.

"The board of directors said that after the holiday break, this old gymnasium will be demolished and converted into a swimming pool."

  "...Bang!"

Hawke punched the sandbag in front of him.

The sandbag hung there, motionless, but its surface suddenly shook, and a cloud of dust was shaken out.

The midday sun shone through the windows of the old gymnasium, catching this scene.
