Chapter 19 - Stealing a Dog

Compared to the archives, the Ninjutsu Collection Room was guarded with a post every three steps and a sentry every five.

Mitsuki Kōmei felt a headache looking at the guard lineup, wondering how Naruto managed to steal the sealing scroll.

Considering all possibilities, only two seemed most plausible.

One possibility was that all Konoha Ninja collectively saw a ghost and encountered a ghost wall.

The other possibility was that Hiruzen Sarutobi was sitting in his office, holding a crystal ball, performing the Telescope Ninjutsu to watch Naruto's live broadcast, with someone even providing commentary.

Images of a certain competition from his previous life slowly surfaced in Mitsuki Kōmei's mind.

"He's here! Contestant Naruto is quietly approaching! In front of him are two honest Chunin defending, who won't slack off."

"Naruto, crouching low, successfully made a Breakthrough from the right side! He has entered the Hokage Building! The live broadcast enters the tense and exciting second half."

"Naruto is getting closer and closer to the Seal scroll! Wow, Naruto has been discovered! Naruto is surrounded by opponents! This time, those responsible for defense are not the rookies who guard the gate. How will Naruto respond?"

"Naruto is so lucky! The defending members have been emergency-fouled by the referee! He stole it! Let's congratulate Naruto!"

"Thank you for watching Naruto's wonderful live broadcast, but one side so blatantly faking the match is despicable. I hope the organizers make it more believable next time."

Shaking the disgraceful thoughts from his head, Mitsuki Kōmei entered the collection room. The layout was similar to the archives, and he felt a tiny bit happy, as such a layout made setting up a Barrier more convenient.

He carefully moved among the various Ninja in the collection room, measuring the distances between the densely packed Ninja and contemplating the position and scope of the Barrier.

Half an hour later, Mitsuki Kōmei completed his calculations. He covered one of the cabinets and opened its door.

A cabinet full of Ninjutsu scrolls appeared before him. They were all Water Release Ninjutsu, with S-rank Ninjutsu on the top shelf and D-rank on the bottom.

There were only a few S-rank Ninjutsu, a relatively larger number of A-rank, and mostly B-rank and C-rank.

Mitsuki Kōmei checked each cabinet one by one. Aside from the different Ninjutsu attributes, other differences were minor.

He also found several special cabinets, containing Summoning Scrolls, Secret Techniques, and the sealing scroll, respectively.

Mitsuki Kōmei approached the cabinet holding the sealing scroll. Not only did the cabinet door have Chakra fluctuations, but the sealing scroll itself had several different Chakra fluctuations.

If he touched the sealing scroll, he would be discovered immediately. He couldn't take the sealing scroll yet; Orochimaru hadn't learned Forbidden Jutsu.

Giving up on taking the sealing scroll, Mitsuki Kōmei had completed what he planned to do tonight and turned to walk towards the door.

Mitsuki Kōmei reached the door and stopped, pondering. If he left like this, he would have come for nothing. Not taking anything, not stealing anything, it would be a wasted trip.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt it was a loss. He decisively turned around and opened the cabinet containing the Summoning Scrolls. Taking this would be the least likely to be discovered. He took the scroll from the top shelf, then pulled one from the very bottom and placed it on the top shelf. Perfect.

Mitsuki Kōmei left the Hokage Building content. The soft Gekko illuminated the street, guiding Mitsuki Kōmei back to the Senju Clan Grounds.

He came quietly, and left softly. Everything was so peaceful, as if nothing had happened, only a world where a few Ninja were injured was achieved.

Back at the Senju Clan Grounds, Mitsuki Kōmei took out the Summoning Scroll. How was this thing used? He carefully recalled the anime content: write his name with his blood and press a handprint. Jiraiya taught Naruto this way.

As a result, Naruto used all his might to summon a future-promising toad.

He followed the procedure once.

"Summoning Jutsu." Mitsuki Kōmei lightly shouted, pressing his hand to the ground.

"Boom," a puff of smoke rose. When the smoke cleared, it was indeed a woman standing on the ground in front of Mitsuki Kōmei.

She had long gray hair, red markings on her face, and an incredibly good figure dressed in a red, tight, wild battle suit, holding a whip.

Mitsuki Kōmei recognized who was in front of him at a glance: the Summoned Beast of Hiruko from the movie, whom Naruto called the "dog's master."

"Are you the master who summoned me? You look like an ordinary person, but that's okay, I'll protect you."

Mitsuki Kōmei meticulously admired her from top to bottom.

"Hmph, can an ordinary person use Summoning Jutsu? What's your name? Can you transform? How many Ninjutsu and special skills do you have?"

"I don't have a name. I can summon and train Ninja Dogs, and I can also Body Integration with Ninja Dogs to enhance my combat power."

"Raising dogs is good. I'll give you a name. You'll be called Inu Guren. From now on, you'll be responsible for raising and training dogs for the Land of Water."

"As you command, my adorable little master," Inu Guren lightly lifted Mitsuki Kōmei's chin with her whip, "I wonder if little master needs bed-warming services now? I can do it, you know."

Mitsuki Kōmei slapped her hard. "Be a bit more discreet in someone else's house. I'll deal with you when we get back to the Land of Water. You go back first, and I'll summon you again when we're back."

"I'll be waiting for you, my little master."

Before her words faded, Inu Guren had already disappeared. Mitsuki Kōmei washed his face with cold water, lay down on the bed, and slowly fell asleep.

"Boom,"

Mitsuki Kōmei instantly woke up, opening his eyes to see the wooden door flying out. Tsunade stormed into the room, full of Aura. Before he could react to what was happening, Tsunade grabbed him by the collar.

"What did you bastard do to me last night? Why did I wake up in your little guard's bed?" Tsunade demanded, glaring at him.

He shrugged indifferently, "I didn't do anything, but I was terribly drunk by someone."

"Bastard, don't mention it again! You can't tell anyone about last night, or I'll beat you up! Come with me, my grandmother called you for breakfast," Tsunade said, her face flushed and fiercely.

"I'm afraid I won't be full," Mitsuki Kōmei's eyes swept over someone's "airstrip," then he stepped over the threshold, only to be pulled back into the room by Tsunade, who grabbed his collar and pushed him onto the bed.

She squeezed a certain part with both hands, "Bastard, look closely! I have some, alright?!"

Neither of the two, in their ambiguous position on the bed, noticed someone appearing outside the door.

Uzumaki Mito had waited in the living room for a long time. Tsunade had gone to call people for breakfast and hadn't returned. She decided to go check herself. As soon as she entered the door, she happened to see Tsunade pushing Mitsuki Kōmei onto the bed.

Uzumaki Mito silently retreated from the courtyard, smiled, and returned to the living room, picking up a bowl of porridge and drinking it spoon by spoon.

Little Tsunade had finally grown up and knew how to "sniff out a boar." Mitsuki Kōmei was the Water Country Daimyo, a perfect match for Tsunade. He was very polite and handled matters with grace and propriety. The two were very well-suited.

Mitsuki Kōmei eventually escaped Tsunade's clutches, reunited with Guo Er and Yagura, and they escaped the small courtyard. The four of them, playfully bickering, entered the living room.

"Grandma, you're eating by yourself again without waiting for me," Tsunade pouted.

Uzumaki Mito put down her rice bowl, looking at Tsunade with a playful expression.

"Little Tsunade, I sent you to call someone for breakfast, but how did you end up calling him to bed? I suppose you completely forgot about this old woman, didn't you?"

"No way! We were just playing around! Grandma, don't talk nonsense!"

Uzumaki Mito's eyes were still full of smiles. "I won't say anything, I won't say anything. Kōmei is a good child, little Tsunade, you should seize the opportunity."

"I'm not talking to you! I'm going out to play! If Grandma thinks Mitsuki Kōmei is so good, then let this bastard stay and keep you company!"

In the end, Uzumaki Mito's "Money Release—Allowance Deduction Jutsu" defeated Tsunade in one move. Tsunade reluctantly took Mitsuki Kōmei out with her.

"Good morning, Jiraiya, Orochimaru. Jiraiya, your dark circles are so heavy, you look very haggard."

"Good morning, Tsunade. Good morning, Mitsuki -sama. I didn't sleep well last night, no need to worry."

"Brother Jiraiya, art cannot be comprehended in a day or two. You need to exercise moderation."

Mitsuki Kōmei knew Jiraiya must have been reading novels all night. Would "Icha Icha Paradise" be released early?

"Let's not talk anymore. Today, I'm going to make a big killing."
