Chapter 20 - Thousand Hands Must Win and Thousand Hands Must Lose

Mitsuki Kōmei raised his right hand to Tsunade's eyes, gently rubbing three fingers together, and said word by word.

"Princess Tsunade, do you have enough money? The little… fat… sheep who single-handedly supports most of the Leaf Village's gamblers."

Mitsuki Kōmei's words resonated with Jiraiya and Orochimaru, who covered their eyes with their hands and shook their heads helplessly.

"Bastard, I've been frequenting various gambling dens since I was four, hundreds of gambling matches, big and small."

Mitsuki Kōmei's eyes widened, his expression exaggerated, "Wow, how amazing! You've never won at the gambling table."

"I know 108 ways to roll dice and I'm proficient in all kinds of cards."

"You've never won at the gambling table." Mitsuki Kōmei gave Tsunade a thumbs up.

"You infuriate me! I'm going to beat you to death, you scoundrel!"

Mitsuki Kōmei didn't even move, and Tsunade was tightly restrained by Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

"Jiraiya, Orochimaru, let me go! Jiraiya, I bet with you, didn't I win? Why does he say I've never won?"

Mitsuki Kōmei inwardly gave Princess Tsunade a big thumbs up. Well done, she really rubbed salt into Jiraiya's wound, and even added cumin and chili powder.

Mitsuki Kōmei watched as the utterly defeated Jiraiya squatted in a corner, poking the ground with a small stick, the aura of despair emanating from him detectable several meters away.

They went to Tsunade's favorite gambling den, chatting and laughing.

Mitsuki Kōmei expected Princess Tsunade to be popular, but not *that* popular.

As soon as he stepped into the gambling den, Mitsuki Kōmei was pushed several meters away from Tsunade by enthusiastic gamblers. They greeted Tsunade with more warmth and familiarity than they would their own parents.

Mitsuki Kōmei recognized the gamblers' gazes: the joy of striking it rich, the relief of a change in luck, the look reserved for a big sucker.

"Princess Tsunade, I've been waiting for you for 26 hours and 15 minutes! What took you so long to appear?"

"Princess Tsunade, are these your friends? Want to play together?"

Mitsuki Kōmei walked back to Tsunade's side.

"Of course we'll play! My Senju Must Win, today I'm going to avenge my sister, Senju Must Lose!"

Mitsuki Kōmei pointed at Tsunade with one hand, and with the other, he pulled out a hundred 100,000-ryo notes from his embrace.

"Bastard, who's your sister! Of course it's me, your adorable sister Tsunade, my dear brother!"

Mitsuki Kōmei used Money Release, forcing the unyielding Princess Tsunade to yield. It wasn't that Tsunade wasn't strong, but the enemy offered too much. He distributed two million ryo to each of them.

"Take it and play, it's my treat."

"Hahaha, Senju Must Win, who among us doesn't 'must win' when gambling with Princess Tsunade?"

"Exactly, exactly, as long as you bet against Princess Tsunade, you can't lose."

"If you've got the guts, bet with Tsunade, that's real skill."

"Come on, let's see what you've got."

Mitsuki Kōmei smiled indifferently. It was the lowest form of provocation, they just wanted to win his money.

The game began. Tsunade, holding the two million ryo given by Mitsuki Kōmei, was full of bravado.

As for the tens of thousands of ryo in pocket money Uzumaki Mito had given her, it had already been tossed into the corner of her wallet. Who are tens of thousands of ryo? Sorry, we're not acquainted, please don't contact me again, I'm afraid the two million ryo might misunderstand.

The game of High-Low is very simple: if you bet 100 ryo on High and I bet 50 ryo on Low, if High wins, I lose 50 ryo; if Low wins, I only win 50 ryo. With multiple bettors, the money is distributed proportionally to the bets.

As the dice cup landed on the table, Mitsuki Kōmei saw Tsunade boldly place 100,000 ryo on High. Everyone else quickly bet on Low.

"Young Master, which one should I bet on?"

"You can always trust Princess Tsunade." Mitsuki Kōmei smiled at Tsunade and made a cheering gesture. "10,000 ryo on Low!"

"Whatever Young Master bets on, I'll bet on."

The first round, 10 points, Low won. Mitsuki Kōmei ignored the disgruntled Princess Tsunade and cheerfully collected his winnings.

"Young Master, we won so much money!" Uchiha Guo hugged his arm and shook it, her face full of joy.

"Shh, keep it down."

"Tch, what's so great? We won too! Senju Must Win, heh heh!"

"If you're too scared to bet with Princess Tsunade, then you try to win back the money you gave her? How fake generous."

"You're addicted to mocking, you don't appreciate kindness. System, get me a cheating technique."

"Fifty million points, top-tier cheating techniques, including seeing through cards, memorizing cards, shuffling cards, switching cards, changing dice pips, and so on."

"That's it, bought it."

Countless cheating methods instantly appeared in Mitsuki Kōmei's mind. In the second round, he still bet on Low, and Tsunade bet on High.

The total was still ten points. Tsunade was always just a tiny bit away from winning the game.

"I refuse to believe it'll be Low again! I'm still betting on High!" Tsunade slapped 100,000 ryo onto High.

Mitsuki Kōmei also placed 100,000 ryo on High. "I like your never-say-die spirit. I'll bet on High with you."

"Good eye, I'll help you win this round." Tsunade was stunned for a few seconds by Mitsuki Kōmei's bet on High.

Mitsuki Kōmei already knew the dice pips: 6, 3, 1, still ten points. He lightly tapped the table, the dice flipped, and the 1 changed to a 2.

It turned out to be 11 points. Mitsuki Kōmei, Uchiha Guo, and Tsunade won.

"See? My luck has turned! You can't go wrong betting with me." Tsunade wasn't very happy. She was a little worried, why did she win? Was something bad about to happen?

"Damn! Princess Tsunade can win? It's a miracle!"

In the fourth round, Mitsuki Kōmei didn't bet with Tsunade, and Tsunade lost.

In the fifth round, Tsunade won; in the sixth round, Tsunade lost… Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Yagura realized that things weren't so simple. Lord Mitsuki seemed to have not lost a single round. They secretly decided to bet with him!

"You three are truly little clever-clogs."

Mitsuki Kōmei won back all two million ryo he had given Tsunade. The scummy Tsunade remembered her little spare money, pulled out her small purse, and carefully retrieved the few tens of thousands of ryo from the corner.

"Hahaha, Princess Tsunade is about to lose all her money!"

"What are you laughing at, you idiot? Look at your own money, you've lost quite a bit too!"

"No way, I actually lost a few hundred ryo! Watching Princess Tsunade lose, I thought I was winning!"

"All the money has been won by Tsunade's fake brother. He and the little girl beside him kept winning."

"Senju Must Win, how amazing, truly living up to the name!"

Mitsuki Kōmei won Tsunade's last few ryo.

"Let's go. Remember, next time I will definitely win it all back!" Tsunade slammed the gambling table, making a fierce declaration.

"Princess Tsunade, you're wronging us. We didn't win anything either, it was all won by your brother and his companions."

"That's right, he's too good. If only I were half as good as him, I'd want to be his disciple."

"Me too, even just learning a little bit would be great."

Mitsuki Kōmei held a thick stack of money, slowly counting each note. Suddenly, he felt a surge of intense resentment. He looked up and met Tsunade's resentful gaze.

"Bastard, as friends, you won my money. Doesn't your conscience hurt?"

"Of course… not, because I have no conscience at all." Mitsuki Kōmei said matter-of-factly, "Hahaha, just kidding, I'll treat you to barbecue."

At the barbecue restaurant, the displeased Tsunade ordered a table full of dishes, her mouth stuffed with food.

"You guys are really too much! You won money and didn't think to bring me along. Not very friendly at all."

"Come, little sister Tsunade, your good brother will give you all the money he won. Take it and go play." Mitsuki Kōmei handed the money to Tsunade.

"Alright, that's fair. From now on, you're my good friend, Tsunade's good friend."

"After playing for a while, there wasn't much to gain. Gambling is only meaningful in family games, friendship games, or leader games; anything else is a waste of time and energy."

"Later, I'll treat you all to a hot spring. Let's relax properly."

In the evening, Deer Horn Hot Spring.
