I looked up. Mason. Calm. Confident. Standing tall at the edge of the crowd, his presence immediately shifting the energy around us. Section E didn't know him, didn't understand the quiet authority he carried.
Cyrus' smirk faltered. "And who are you now?"
Mason's eyes met his, cool and unshakable. "Someone who doesn't let bullies or foolish ruin the day."
I could feel a flicker of relief. My hand relaxed slightly on my bag strap. Keifer's hand stayed close, but his eyes softened just a little.
Cyrus laughed, but it wasn't the same. It was forced, brittle. "Huh. So now you've got friends who… your side lover?"
I tilted my head, voice firm and playful. "Oh, Cyrus first of all we dont do cheap things like you and second thing. You really don't know who you're dealing with, do you?"
Section E and my brothers were still arriving, faces full of confusion. Rory's jaw dropped. Blaster's hands froze mid-gesture. David whispered something to Denzel, but their words got lost in the tension.
Cyrus' eyes flicked from Mason to me. Then he laughed—low, sharp, fake. "Fine. This isn't over. Don't think this changes anything."
The rest of Section E, my brothers, and the girls finally reached us, shouting my name, asking questions, trying to step in—but neither Cyrus nor I gave them the chance. Our energy pulled the room taut, stopping everyone in their tracks.
I glanced at Mason. His presence alone had shifted the power balance. Calm. Commanding. Protective. Just like Keifer, but… different.
Cyrus frowned, realizing he was surrounded, yet still trying to look like he had the upper hand. "This isn't over. You'll regret—"

I kept my grin. Cheerful. Confident. Powerful. They didn't know the half of it.
Mason didn't leave my side, just far enough to let me breathe, close enough to make Cyrus think twice next time.
