Chapter 12 - I Could Feel His Every Breath

Finally, I was on my bed.

The beach memories still glimmered in my mind — so beautiful, yet so distant. But no matter how peaceful the ocean looked, the real peace lived here… in my own bed.

I hadn't felt this kind of exhaustion in a long time. It was as if I hadn't slept for a month. The moment my head touched the pillow, sleep pulled me away.

The weather was windy… a little cold. People moved everywhere, shouting directions, carrying props, rushing under the lights. I was fixing the actress's makeup, focused on her face, when suddenly—

"Ah!"

Song Weilong screamed.

I looked up instantly. He was holding his hand — blood streaming down his hand. Someone gasped. Then, with a thud, the actress fainted seeing the blood, collapsing onto the ground.

Everyone ran toward her. The director, the assistants, the makeup team ,crews — all surrounded her.

No one cared about him.

No one but me.

Without thinking, I ran to him. Trying to find something, bag was full of brushes, foundation, lipstick — but somewhere at the bottom, I found a scarf. I grabbed his hand and wrapped it tightly, trying to stop the bleeding.

"I'm fine. Don't be anxious," he said softly.

But I didn't listen. My heart hurt too much to stop.

I looked at the others again — still fussing over her. So I grabbed his uninjured hand and pulled him away from the set, into the open street.

"I told you, it's just a small cut," he said.

The sky grumbled. Rain began to fall, light at first, then harder.

I ran to the roadside, waving for a car. "Stop! Please stop! Someone injured "

But none stopped.

Tears blurred my vision, mixing with the rain. "Please!"

He caught my hand and pulled me back, his wet hair sticking to his forehead.

"Why are you doing this?" he asked, "I said I'm fine."

I looked up at him, crying even harder. "Because it hurts me more when you get hurt!"

"Why?"

"Because I've loved you since I was sixteen!" The words poured out of me. "I studied so hard to come here—to live in your country, to work where you work. It wasn't easy for a foreigner like me. But I did everything… just to see you up close, not through a screen. I love you for so long !" I couldn't stop my tears.

For a moment, everything froze — the rain, the lights, the noise.

Then he stepped closer, slowly, as if the world had stopped breathing.

He kissed me.

Yes — on the lips. My first kiss..

The rain fell harder, but his warmth spread through me, melting the cold. His hand cupped my cheek, his breath brushed my skin. I held onto him tightly, terrified he might disappear if I let go, I could feel his breath.

"Benny... Benny…"

Someone was calling me. The scene blurred. His face faded.

I jolted upright, heart racing. My dad was knocking on my door.

"Benny! Dinner's ready, then go to sleep."

I sat frozen for minutes, trying to breathe, tears were rolling down my eyes.It was… a dream!

But it felt too real — his touch, his warmth, even his breath and the kiss.

Still trembling, I grabbed my phone, opened Instagram, and clicked on his chat.

Without thinking, I typed everything I saw, every word, every feeling. Explained how real the dream was.

Then I hit send.

Waiting for his reply...
